Can’t comment on the quality

Can’t comment on the quality, as my order has not been delivered after nearly 2 weeks. Tried to cancel, but got some cheery malarkey about the impossibility, even though their tracking shows my order still waiting to be shipped.
Even if they do have a superior product, their customer service and shipping malpractice will sink their company.

2 of my 4 cats won't touch Cat Person wet food. The other two will only eat some of the flavors.

Unbelievable!!!

We are on day one of our transition. The kids (Mango, Shadow and Roxy) got their usual wet food that I call their ‘junk food’ and half a container of the Salmon & Tuna from Cat Person. I thought for sure they’d eat all the junk food and maybe nibble on the Cat Person. I was shocked that not only did they eat all the Cat Person but they left the junk food on the plate! Now they are following me around trying convince me to give them the rest!

Great food, terrible company.

I am very disgusted by this company. I pay to get the food in 3/4 days and am still waiting almost ten. They blame it on Covid or trucking or warehouses which is ridiculous. Not sure I will order again. I don’t suggest this company.

LOVE the food, but service lacks

I have a senior kitty who has had sensitive belly issues for her whole life. They have gone away completely with Cat Person food. (We use the pate; the shreds didn't seem substantial enough for my gang.) My older girl and younger cats love the food. No more throwing up or stinky litter boxes. The company would benefit from more attention on the business side. For instance, if someone is on a meal plan (as we are) it would make sense that the food ships to keep our cat food stock on track, not to keep on a set shipping schedule. Also, I received an email that my subscription did not go out as planned because there was a problem with my credit card, even though it was the same card used for prior shipments, and the system had no problem taking the same card information when I reentered it. You've got good stuff to sell. Don't risk losing customers by having less than adequate business practices. (p.s. Why can't we buy it in stores?)

I have to say my cats LOVE LOVE LOVE…

I have to say my cats LOVE LOVE LOVE this food. The issue if the delivery and customer service. It is pretty poor. On DEC. 3 my card was charged for a delivery over $130, as of Dec. 9th the product was not sent out. On Dec. 13th I receive my shipment. I order a total of 80 items, I received 10.
The order prior to that contained open items and I did not receive my replacement items for over 3 weeks.
Customer service is slow to answer tests, emails, and tweets. My cats need to eat and I cannot wait for these people to get it together.

Cannot deliver timely

I ordered dry cat food a few of times. Every order without fail is delivered incredibly late, 2-3 weeks. The site says 4-8 days which is fraudulent. This last order was on Nov 27 and it's still not here. My cat is out of food. I resorted to store food. I'm done with an incompetent company. Any company who wants to stay in business must get the product to the customer TIMELY!!

Great Healthy Food Option

As a cat and dog veterinarian, I think about and discuss cat diets A LOT. My recommendations are nearly always for high protein, low carbohydrate canned food twice a day. Cat are obligate carnivores meaning they NEED protein! My cats love the shreds in broth canned food. Clean bowl club every time! ~C. Hoffman, DVM

Can’t get in touch with customer service regarding a stolen package

Update: I was contacted by customer support within an hour of publishing the 1 star review here. They were helpful and resolved my issue. It’s too bad that there isn’t an easier way to get to them. The food is great, btw. Both of my cats live it.

Its impossible to get in touch with them regarding any customer service issue. I sent an email and a text message regarding my stolen package 2 days ago, and did not hear back from them.

Happy to find Cat Person Food

Firstly,,, the presentation box is very professional.
This company goes above and beyond when sending out the first order that is complete with all the necessary items to feed your fur baby(s)
I have 2 of the finicky ones. Everyone who has owned a cat can relate. But mine both have kidney disease and need more protein than all the crazy fillers of over the counter junk foods.
I admit they won't eat all the varieties offered on Cat Person but they love a few of the fish ones.
My orders have arrived on time (so far) and I am happy with the service.
Thank you Cat Person. I wish your company great success.

customer service is lacking

my picky cats love the food - they won't really eat much else.

customer service isn't great though. i'm on a meal plan and the day my order was supposed to be shipped i heard nothing from the company. i reached out and they said there was a problem with my card. when i checked their system everything was correct, i attempted to put the information in again and i got an error message. it was a system issue, nothing wrong with my card. the company did not apologize. normally it wouldn't be a big deal but my cats were going to be out of food.

when they ran out i went to the pet store and got the other brand they like, just a few while i wait for my order. 3 business days later and it's still not here.

the shipping always takes forever to leave their warehouse. they are 4 hours away from me and it takes longer than a week to get here.

Customer Service

I am new to Cat Person and I had a delivery issue, caused by me, so I “pounced” and sent them a text. Emma at Cat Person got back to me within 12 hours and discovered my problem and set me up for an immediate re-send of my new box. I appreciated their fast response and professionalism in fixing my cause of the problem. Thank you Emma! 😻

We are very happy!

So far, me and my fur baby Loki have been loving Cat Person! I love that he is getting all of the good stuff and no fillers, which is what all of the big name brands are full of. The transition instructions were no BS, Loki gradually started to love his food more and more so I ended up fully transitioning earlier than expected. As for deliveries, I even got my order sooner than expected (I'm out in the country...) No more going to tractor supply for over-priced, crappy food. Thank you!!

Cause to many urinary issues.

As a Vet tech, we are seeing more and more blocked young cats who have been on cat person. This food is not healthy for you cat. Please as a cat owner stay away.

Hi Marian! We want to follow up with your review here, as we don't think it's taking into account the many different reasons why a cat would experience a urinary blockage or FLUTD. According to the ACVS, "Obstructions are often the result of plugs of inflammatory material, mucus, crystals, small stones (called calculi) that have formed in the kidneys and have passed down into the bladder (see urinary stones). The cause of the inflammatory materials and stone formation is not well understood, though viral infections and diet may play a role. Other causes are reported such as cancer, previous injury causing scarring, and trauma are also reported." At this time, we don't have any special food for urinary care or UTI prevention. We do, however, have information around the pH levels of our food. A cat's natural urine pH is between 6-6.5. Food pH is only one of many factors that can affect urine pH. Stress, for example, can contribute to a cat's urine pH being too alkaline (too high) or too acidic (too low), as well as chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and thyroid problems. In urine that's too acidic or too alkaline, urine stones can appear. A pH level below 7 is acidic, 7 itself is neutral, and anything 7+ is alkaline. All of the pH levels in our food fall between 5.3- 6.4, categorizing them as slightly more acidic - though still very close to the ideal natural urine pH of cats. As such, we do not believe that feeding our food would be the sole cause a urinary blockage in a cat. We're sorry to hear that you've been seeing higher incidents of blockages in cats eating our food. We'd love to chat more with you to get further information from your vet's office, and to work together with our feline-focused vet on identifying what might actually be causing this amongst the cats you're working with. High quality product and great customer service

My cat has a really sensitive stomach. Since switching her to cat person, she hasn’t been sick at all. She is so excited about her food, always eats all of it, has more energy and her coat looks fantastic. I even add a bit of water to it to increase the already high water content and she still loves it.

At the beginning of my subscription there was a bit of a issue with receiving my order that caused some stress but the customer service team was top notch and rectified the situation immediately. I would recommend you pay the additional $5 per order for the UPS shipping to ensure you don’t run into frequent shipping delays using the free USPS shipping. Overall, great experience, great high quality food and I am so happy that I switched. Wish I’d done it sooner.

try a different company!

food is mostly water unless you order the pate. No customer service phone number to call. must email or text. cant cancel orders once placed. i ordered a trial to get my cats started and it was not any where near enough food to do the proper transition over to this new food until i received the next order, i had to switch back to old food in meantime and i ordered extra food and never received a tracking number and after 10 days still hadn't heard anything. cannot get a hold of customer service on weekend. don't recommend!!!!

Try it. Your cats need to be on this food!!

I am absolutely loving cat person. I have 9 cats and with that comes many different preferences, aversions and sensitivities. I love that cat person offers a wide variety of textures and flavors in wet or dry food. All of my babies have found something they like. I’ve noticed significantly less tummy troubles while they’ve been on this food. I so appreciate the quality of the food, the wet food you can visibly see the chunks of fish and the dry food has pieces of meat in it. The portions are nice and big so I’m able to feed all my kitties without using dozens of cups at a time. We also love the digestive treats, you get 12 large packets for a very reasonable price. We’ve found these to be our saving grace. So many of my cats have regurgitation issues and these treats have helped them immensely. I absolutely recommend trying them out. It’s worth it. We’ve never had a problem with delivery. Everything comes right on time in good condition. And did I mention that the box your food ships in turns into a toy for the kitties?! I mean come on! We love it. We’re very happy with cat person.
