Chandlers Avis 2

We purchased a new car from Chandlers Belton Branch with the expectation that they would look after us if anything went wrong. The reality is that they are unable diagnose problems without contacting KGM and do not carry spare parts to fix even minor issues.
The car has needed a replacement windscreen due to a stone chip and we had to wait many weeks for a replacement screen as it had to come from Korea and then we had to take it to another branch to be set up correctly.
They also did not carry a spare parking sensor when that failed.
The main issue was a faulty rear screen wash which they denied was faulty on the first visit and it was only when I showed them the damp in the car, did they accept there was an issue. After several attempts to fix the pipe, including with a tie wrap, they acknowledged that it was faulty and agreed to replace it a new pipe and to replace the roof liner which was mouldy and stained. What a surprise, they did not have them in stock in the country and they would have to come from Belgium or Korea.
They finally arrived and we took the car in to be fixed yesterday, they told us that the liner was the wrong colour !!! and had not been fitted and they have to order the correct one. This could take months as they do not have one anywhere in the system.
We collected the car today and had to squeegee the inside of the windows due to the condensation.
We have to chase them regularly to get updated and I have no confidence that any issues will be resolved properly.
In short, never buy a car from this company or take a vehicle to them to be maintained.

To emphasise how scrumptious the food is at this wonderful family owned & managed Bistro; we have just returned from a 326 mile round trip to eat there. Chandler's is situated in Trefriw, about 2 miles north of Llanwrst (Conwy)
Call us bonkers, many people do! However, if it means we may only eat there twice a year, so be it. The journey is well and truly justified.
Awel and Anna are two of the loveliest people in the restaurant business. Everything is geared to the customer. From the quality of the food to the ambiance which immediately greets us on arrival. Awel cooks up a storm whilst Anna makes sure we have everything we need throughout our delicious meal and evening. Awel's cooking has a Portuguese influence, his sauces are to die for, gained from his many years working in Portugal. I can thoroughly recommend the chicken in a lemon based sauce; just the right amount of lemon so as not to overpower the meal. The chicken was so tender, I could cut it with a fork. Veggies are 'al dente'. not cooked to death, just right. Food presentation is perfect. Overall and throughout, the Service is remarkable. In fact I would say with only two people at front of house, the service was better than many larger restaurants. Chandler's Bistro only seats 28 people, so if you're thinking to go, book first! You will not be disappointed. Thanks for a lovely evening and the absolutely delicious chutney! See you again next spring.
