Freezes every few seconds

I would give zero stars if i could but trying to watch a program on your platform and its like pulling teeth. Freezes every few seconds. Adverts come on and they play with no issue, very convenient. Sort your service out channel 5 its bloody awful

Absolutely frustrating catch up service buffers freezes stops , subtitles on then off.
Interminable adverts repeated yes repeated after farting around to get the player working yet again.
It's worse that the old ITV hub and that was awful.

Shame as some good content.Just been watching Missed Call good drama but had to keep rebooting so not a good viewing experience at all!!!!

Abysmal subtitles. …

Streaming on this channel is absolutely ABYSMAL, if you put it on hold you loose the subtitles, if you mute the Adverts you loose the subtitles, in this day and age this channel should be much better than it is, I give ot 1 star actually it's 0. It must be agony for people like my husband who is hard of hearing and rely on subtitles. 🥺🥺🥺🥺

This app cannot start a programme where…

This app cannot start a programme where you left off, nor can it put what you've been watching in the 'continue watching' section. I puts stuff you've never watched before. I basically wants you to view their ads. Poor effort and just as bad as ITVX which is awful.

Channel 5 is the worst ever

Channel 5 is the worst ever . ill never be watching again . Absolute garbage . Brag about having a snooker tournament so i recorded whole series matches . Only seen a few because always stopped halfway through then had to go to 5 app . All just a con . Load of crap . I hope all snooker lovers never watch your pathetic coverage ever again

10 adverts every 10 minutes

I can only find 1 good thing to say about channel 5 on demand and that is that there’s always between 9-15 adverts to sit through every 10 minutes,so you get plenty of time to go for a shit and a shower during them if you need to

Far too many adverts

Far too many adverts, I know about the revenue but if it's more customers you want, change the amount of adverts, more people watching the shows the higher you can charge of the adverts

This is the absolute worst streaming…

This is the absolute worst streaming service I’ve ever used. The app constantly crashes with a “experiencing problems” error right after ads finish, making you rewatch the last minute before the ads start again, rinse and repeat. Literally gave up watching the programme. Utter rubbish, avoid!

Channel 5 - Worst Platform

This is the worst channel I have ever watched. Logged on for first time to watch a show recommended in The Times review section but have been appalled by the length and quality of the adverts. I felt we watched more adverts than the actual docufilm. I can guarantee that I will never be watching Channel 5 again.

20 minutes of adverts is too much for…

20 minutes of adverts is too much for one program!!
I was trying to watch a programme called Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday on the Channel 5 App. I paused the program for around 2 minutes, only to be faced with 11 adverts when I returned. After watching these various adverts for around 5 and a half minutes the program restarted. Two minutes later the first scheduled advert break, ANOTHER 11 ADVERTS LASTING ANOTHER TOTAL OF 5 MINUTES 30 Seconds. I lost interest in the program and switched off. If I had watched the whole program of 45 minutes, I would have been subjected To around 25 minutes of adverts. UNACCEPTABLE!!

If there is anyone reading this from Channel 5 please take note. Your standard of programming is not exactly top drawer, When there is something that is mildly interesting to watch on C5 you flood the zone with adverts driving away the very people who the advertisers are paying for us to watch their adverts.

Don't get me wrong, I love adverts, at one point in time they were much better that the programmes that were shown. But to be subjected to 5 and a half minutes of adverts every 8 minutes is too much. I for one will not be watching your App again unless you change this..
