things that need improved:
*It would be much better if they would delete the fake accounts people make . just go into the leaderboard section and sort players by rating. start with the highest rated and look at their game history. they are playing against their fake accounts and gaining rating for hundreds of "games" with ZERO moves. sad. its super easy for chesskid to check and remove. PLEASE delete the fake accounts. more people will join.
*the app has many differences with the site version. so if you play both often, lots of things dont match up and rewards are not added. the stars that are awarded each week (for a streak of playing each day) are added to the account, and then removed the next time you play. This has been happening for almost 2 straight years with lots of examples sent, yet no fix. ratings are different for bots in each platform...etc. All things on both the app and site need to be in sync to work properly.
*our kids had the gold accounts for years. its okay to practice on but IMO not worth paying for. the free version is just as good. the main difference we've noticed is with the gold you get unlimited lessons. one or maybe 2 new lessons are put only every few months. so if you have all of them done.....you just pay to wait for more.
*customer service could use some work. the reps are all very nice...its that when you start a chat to contact them about something, you are sending an email msg. our kids have sent plenty. they didnt get responses sometimes for weeks. every single reply always starts with sorry about the delay, we're busy. so usually by the time they got a reply, things changed. they were asked some basic question about the msg they sent. and had to reply and sent it off into neverland again. immediately followed by a survey to see how great it was handled. each reply is from a different rep, and so then you are basically starting from scratch each time. its pointless.
* oh and please delete fake accounts.

I enjoy all of chesskid, but there is one thing that is not good, you all should probably add a anti cheat system(like in chess.com) because pretty much there are cheaters around all of chesskid, so please, add a anti-cheat detection system(and a game abortion due to cheating system too), but apart from anything, the platform itself is pretty good! You all do great work, but we need the anti-cheat system, as I have experienced cheaters, so please, add it

Chesskid is rated an 4.7 star in App Store. I SAY BOTS ARE RATING IT. I checked other websites rating and the average is 1 to 2 star. To many bugs, unfair way to lose. You can lose by internet and you will still lose rating how is that fair. Chesskid cost money to do infinite puzzles and lessons and to play all bots and many other features. lichess is completely free. Sometimes the move button randomly disappears and you lose by time. To fix it you have to close your iPad/iPhone then reopen it and go back to chess kid but if you spend to long doing that it will disconnect you. Don't use chess kid it is horrible.

ChessKid customer service is a bad joke. I buy Gold in bulk (15 - 20 slots) and circulate them among my most active students. ChessKid reached out to me and asked if I wanted to be set up with an enterprise account. The invitation said it didn't affect billing; enterprise was just an easier way to manage my kids (I have about 180 kids so far, about 70 are in my classes each semester, but I let everyone stay in our chesskid clubs).
I clicked the button to change to enterprise, and voila! All of my current pre-paid Gold disappeared and all of the Gold already assigned to Gold were unassigned. I cannot reassign Gold now.
I tried their bot help, which replied "that doesn't sound right". Duh. It looked like maybe a live agent took over and asked "How my I help?". I replied, "Read the previous paragraphs". I might have upset the agent because the reply was "Someone will contact you in 1 - 3 days".
I tried purchasing some more Gold because I was desperate to get my students back to work. It shows that Gold as active but still won't let me use it. I tried contacting ChessKid again, and the bot asked me for an image of the Gold receipt that they emailed me (WT*?). ChessKid has shut part of my classes down for the week, apparently.

Don't spend your time and money for this garbage.

What went wrong was that when I was playing chess by myself you know when it teaches you and whenever I made a move it paused our game and the place where I went turned red.You could improve that.And you might think that the 1 star rating is really hurtful for one little mess up, but, chess should be fun not hurting people with there move when they are getting taught by to learn about chess.To make you feel a little bit,just a little bit better, I like that you get to change your avatar.But, hate to change the mood, why can't you press a button to go to your files so you can get your own picture for your avatar.Thank you for reading. Everything is good except the puzzles part. CHESSKID CUTS LIKE 20 POINTS FOR AN EASY ONE STEP PUZZLE, AND GIVES LIKE 5 POINTS FOR GETTING A LONG PUZZLE RIGHT. WHEN I GET THE PUZZLE WRONG, IT SAYS THAT I CAN RETAIN MY RATING BY GETTING IT ON THE SECOND TRY. BUT WHEN I GET IT RIGHT ON THE SECOND TRY, IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY RETAIN MY SCORE. IT SAYS THAT I HAVE KEPT IT, BUT IT DOESN'T IN REALITY.

chesskid.com should be for kids only, I've been wanting to teach my son how to play and thought this was the place, but my son said it was too hard and come to find out almost 90 percent of the opponents aren't even children, there Elo ratings are extremely high and u can tell no kid is going to play the moves some of these people are playing so he's been playing grown men or women who have lots of experience and now he hates chess and doesn't want to play at all. this shouldn't be a place that kills the joy of chess for kids just because others can't progress on other chess cites it should specifically be for kids to learn and grow to love the game would not recommend this to any child or parent unless they want to kill the little joy their child has for chess.

Very poor customer service. On its website, it says it take up to 24 hours to change your username. But after 24 hours, there are no notification, NOTHING. I wrote to their CS and they are basically telling me NOT to send multiple request for the same matter. Yes I did send multiple request but who delayed in the first place? And in this age were we have Gen AI, who still force a username on its paying users and review every single username request. Regret paying for a year of membership. If I knew how bad their CS is, I would never done it

Its a nice website for kids to learn chesskid.com but its very buggy. It begs you to buy gold and cheaters are allowed. chat is limited. the lessons suck too cause everyone knows how to move stuff and then you need to freaking buy it! goddamn it i hate this website chess.com is better with those stuff

You could like have a rating of 800 and have chesskid put you up against someone with a rating of 1300. It's kinda stupid how that works.

ChessKid's chain told me to do something that I couldn't do without going gold which cost money so just when I was about to complete the chain then it gave me a task I couldn't do :.(

Bad. You can't do anything without a membership like Puzzle Duel or Puzzles. Cheaters are allowed on the site and the chat is limited. No report or block button. Can't add friends unless both players add each other. Not the best!

honestly it's excellent, even without gold membership you have videos and such stuff.

It is great. Even without the gold membership, it has some helpful features.when you play a chess kid fast chess game, it tells what opening you play. It also can tell you if you internet connection is bad. And there are almost certainly no cheaters.on more reminder, Do Not limit more features because you want money. I was hoping more features are available for non gold members. Use it for your kids. Schools, stop blocking this. It is safe.
