I have been with them a number of years and they have always been supportive. Communication is clear and prompt. I have never had a reason to look for someone else.

Gave me a good price when i called to renew.

My 2nd year with city, the renewal price was amazing! Way cheaper than any comparison site. I hope to stay with them next year aswel

So I took out my truck insurance with this company. Unfortunately was stolen on April 17 and it’s now September 10 and I still haven’t received any money for compensation bearing in mind on the tradesmen. This is absolutely outrageous. Avoid this company like the plague,

It only took you five months to get in touch with me and yes, you are the broker and the insurance company do deal with claim ! but when this happened with A plan insurance, they were in constant contact resulting in a pay out within five weeks !
so five months is not exactly great service,

Avoid them I cancelled my insurance yesterday I had a balance of £272 the person I spoke with he said you only have £98 then I said I'm not happy with this figure and sound unfair.
Then he returned told me its actually £146.90
They are Rip-offs be careful. Imagine if I was accepting £98 their system had no problem. Also imagine they did this to how many customers each day. -0 star

This company is a scam and is ripping people off.

I work for the FTA for insurance companies and people have complained to trading standards and they have contacted me to investigate.

I have spoken to them using a different name and information and they tried to rip me off by putting the price up by calling them up.

I will be taking legal action out on this company city insurance.

I went onto the Compare website to look for a more amenable price for my car insurance, as my last insurer had doubled their price for a continued year.
Despite the fact I had made No claims, and my car is only used for social outings, as I am now retired so not using it for the daily commute.
I found Close Brothers, emailed them, filled in the firm for what I wanted covered in my insurance, paid, and that was it, insured for a year....no fuss no nonsense no problem. And I am paying vurtually the same as last year, so a happy insured driver.
Good people to deal with, I shall look for their quote next year and hope we can continue together.

I have just had an extremely bad experience with this company. I got a quote of £375 for my car insurance, decided to go ahead.
They contacted me today saying after a search I was at fault in a previous accident, and that my premium had increased by £185. In fact my car was hit while parked in a shopping centre, couldn't trace the other driver. I then asked them to cancel this policy under the 14 day rule. They then informed me that they would be charging me a £50 administration fee for cancelling. Absolute rip off, whatever you do don't use this company they are con merchants.

This company gets a one start only because I cannot give zero stars. I took out a car policy 4 days ago but decided to cancel only to be told there is a £50 cancellation fee, even within the cooling off period no other company i know off does this, how completely ridiculous. should have known better than to go with a company I never heard of before.
