The tour group was smaller than expected- a real plus; the guide was exceptional! The schedule jammed packed and the accommodations first class.

Ida & Luciano were exceptional tour guides.. They were very professional, very helpful, very knowledgeable about Sardinia & Corsica & they made sure that everyone was properly taken care of and having a good time!
The hiking was GREAT.. Beautiful and interesting places to see and enjoy! The meals and hotels were
exceptional..
The only negative was that there was too much bus
travel. Although, I understand that in order to see the important sights we had to get to them somehow, and there were great distances between them.

The two guides, Margaret and Diane were fantastic! Engaging and funny and so knowledgeable. We consider them freinds now. Our small group experience (16) meant we could get a lot accomplished without waiting for a busload of people to get on/get off (or get it together). The Cotswolds "stops" were very well chosen (Burford, Bibury, Stow on the Wold, Oxford, Bath) and also all the smaller stops along the way. The walking sites were magical and just the right amount in my opinion. Our picnic was so much fun and lots of thought went into making it a success. The cheese specialists that presented was icing on the cake. Our Baking class with Susan was so much fun and we learned a lot (and ate delicious scones, Victoria cake, etc) for days! Stonehenge was a dream come true and we basically has the place to ourselves which was well planned by our guides. The hotels were incredible as well as all the meals provided. The gardens we visited as well as Blenheim castle were fun days. I'm forgetting 100 fun things along the way we did. Tony the bus driver was so accommodating and fun to interact with as well. We felt we were in great hands with Tony! The overall booking process was easy and communicating with our coordinator was perfect. We will definitely book another adventure with Classic Journeys!

The villages and vineyards of Provo was an amazing tour. This was our first time traveling with CLASSIC JOURNEYS and the tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide Isabelle was phenomenal and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the tour. We’re already looking forward to signing up for another. Fantastic lodging, wonderful experiences, and great food all made for an amazing memorable trip.

Great travel experience. Well organized walking tours in the backroads and visits to beautiful sites. Hotels are great. Transportation and guides are first class.

Our trip to the Galapagos was amazing. From the excursions, the people and the guidance of Cesar it all was seamless. Cesar had such and amazing grasp of knowledge regarding the wildlife, history and culture of his country that it was truly like being in a classroom. We would recommend Classic Journeys to anyone!

This Galapagos trip was one of my dreams. Classic Journey's their staff and our guide Cedar Romero were in partnership with a most precious and spectacular archipelago to deliver just that. The itinerary was a marvelous balance of physical activity and learning. Each day was packed, engaging in walking, snorkeling or kayaking, and learning the natural history, the cultural history, and gaining insights into life on the islands. The hotels were first-rate, with incredible views, and wonderful end-of-the-day comfort. Our group bonded from the beginning allowing us to process our shared experiences, enjoy the fun together and support one another during the activities. We all agreed on how fortunate we were to have this amazing Classic Journeys experience.

Many interesting things were included on the trip...the spa, horseback riding, glacier walk, etc. Our guide was knowlegable about the history, geology, flora and fauna. He remarked that Iceland is doesn't have good signage and we discovered that is true. We travelled at the perfect time of year: not cold, lupin and greenery was gorgeous and with spring melting the waterfalls were amazing. Icelandic food has come a long way. Everyone we met, native or temporary workers, were very friendly and helpful.

Our guides were outstanding! As was our driver, Tony. Always had water always on time. It was perfect. The accommodations were great and the arranged meals were wonderful. We had some weather walking through the coils, but it was easy to navigate and Diane and Margaret were always willing to walk a little extra with anyone that wanted to. Baking with Susie was awesome and it was all in all just a wonderful wonderful time. Great mix of countryside, walking, sightseeing, history and culture.

I loved so much about this trip. I had high expectations and it didn’t disappoint. Each of the excursion were great; the accommodations were first rate. The Belvedere hotel in particular was outstanding (a true standout); Our guide was knowledge, kind, and warm with good humor. And of course the scenery was amazing!!!! Road transportation was comfortable.
What could have made it better: one day of down time —or at least half a day. Ideally one more night at the Belvedere perhaps with optional guest paid options we could have planned in advance like spa services, or a longer boat ride on the lake Como with a picnic —as we logged many miles walking. All of the walks worth it!!

We had a fabulous experience on our cultural tour of Cuba. We were a bit concerned about traveling to Cuba at this time, but Classic Journeys and our guide Audrey took such good care of us. We felt safe the entire time we were there and the Cuban people we met were so warm, gracious and happy to have us visiting their country. We enjoyed many different types of transportation from horse drawn carriages to the beautiful classic cars. While we did have some power outages, that did not disrupt our experience. The situation in Cuba is "complicated", but I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the Cuban people. I highly recommend this trip.

The Classic Journeys trip to Morocco provided many unique and wonderful experiences that we could not have planned or executed on our own. It's a trip that's been a dream for awhile. Our excellent guides, Abdou and Mohamed, provided so much knowledge in each location that we felt like we could truly begin to understand the "magic" of Morocco and its people. The small group tour really enhanced what we saw and allowed a more in-depth experience. The booking experience was easy and Jessica and Ariana provided excellent service and attention from beginning to end. This is our second Classic Journeys tour and we would highly recommend any of their itineraries and will plan on taking another adventure with them soon!

Tea in a semi-nomadic shepherd mountain camp, village lunches with Berber families, informative walks through Fes and Marrakech medinas, Sahara glamping after a camel ride, and incidental observance of a holiday sacrifice stand out as favorite highlights of this trip. Lovely lodging, exquisite dining experiences, and a splendid group of randomly self-selected travelers made this trip a pleasure. The only downside was the unavoidable 1000+ km of sprinter van transport split over 3 of the 8 days. Guides were terrific.

Our trip to Cuba in May 2026 was one of the best, if not the best tour we've ever been on. The itinerary was exceptional in its content and flawlessly executed with many small details that enhanced the overall experience.
Talk about a cultural experience! This tour was unique, fascinating, heartbreaking, eye-opening, humbling and extremely fun. We were welcomed with open arms (something I wasn’t sure would happen) and met amazing artists, entrepreneurs, farmers, dancers, a photojournalist who followed Castro, an economist, jazz musicians, chefs and everyday Cuban folks and really got a strong sense of the culture and what life is like during the current crisis. We had air-conditioning, water and all kinds of food choices wherever we went. I would highly recommend this tour and visiting Cuba.

Excellent experienced local guides

Our two guides, Alessandro & Ida, were fantastic! They connected well with all persons on the tour, accompanying any needs and helping translate with the local communities we were able to explore.

Our guides were wonderful. Alessandro is incredibly knowledgeable he is a great story teller. Also, he has a ton of experience, so he was able to intersperse our hikes with stories and rest. That way we could do a pretty challenging hike without feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. Ida is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. She is good about making sure all the stragglers are doing okay and never makes anyone feel like they are too slow. Both come from the area, so we got a lot of insider information. The itinerary was busy enough without being over scheduled. We could not have asked for better weather, more beautiful surroundings, more interesting places to explore, or nicer accommodations.

The storybook beauty of Scotland was enriched by our guide, David Spooner, a walking encyclopedia of Scottish history and culture as well as a delightful human being.
This was my first Classic Journeys trip and I loved it. A couple of the stops felt a bit rushed, but overall a huge success. Wonderful accommodations, good meals, and a nice group of curious smart fellow travelers.
