I've managed a small nonprofit site for ten years, and can't afford to spend a lot on site management -- but every couple years I need to make upgrades that are beyond my technical ability, and I always turn to Codeable. I hired Valentin Bora through Codeable for a complex architectural remediation and migration of my law firm's WordPress site — bilingual (English/Spanish) setup, a full URL restructure with redirects, and a schema rebuild. The experience was excellent from start to finish. Valentin was meticulous: he ran technical decisions by me before implementing, documented everything, validated the work at each milestone, and delivered a detailed handoff package and a live walkthrough so my team can maintain the site without breaking anything. Communication was clear and proactive the entire time, and he delivered on schedule. Codeable itself made the process straightforward — vetted developers, milestone-based payments held in escrow, and a clean workroom to track everything. I'd work with Valentin again without hesitation and recommend Codeable for anyone who needs serious WordPress work done right.

I hired through Codeable to fix my website, which was crashing and causing problems for customers. I paid $1,538 for what I was told would stabilize my site and stop the crashes.

After the project was marked complete, my site continued going offline almost every single day for months. I have the monitoring alerts to prove it. Customers were hitting critical errors during checkout. I even had an order where the customer never received a confirmation email.

When I raised this through Codeable's warranty process, they told me the project was only a 'Phase 1 audit' and the ongoing crashes weren't covered. The problem is that phrase never appeared anywhere in the written scope I agreed to before paying. The scope said things like 'stop the bleeding' and 'confirm no crash conditions.' That's not audit language.

As a small business owner with no technical background, I relied entirely on the platform and the developer to translate my problem into the right solution. I felt the process was much better suited for customers who already know exactly what technical work to request. If you don't, you may end up in a situation like mine where the technical work is 'complete' but your actual problem isn't fixed.

I'm not saying no work was done. I'm saying the outcome I paid for wasn't delivered, and the warranty process did not protect me.

I fired Codeable. My first complaint is about what appears to be their business model. If you raise a question to one of their developers, all the others who expressed interest in the project back away. When you reach out to the others afterward, they don't reply. A parallel would be that you have to marry the first girl you date. Not good. My second complaint was that our proposal which seemed excessively expensive included a gratis part of the project. It was one aspect that the developer said he would do for free. Later, he decided to charge for that part of the project and added another $800 to cover fees that Codeable assessed. The problem is that the breakdown in the invoice read entirely differently, hiding those fees. When I raised questions to the support department asking for a bid from another developer to finish the job, the support representative defended the employee and ignored my questions. I told the lady she and the company she worked for were fired. They remain so today.

I hired a developer through Codeable for a WordPress project. Unfortunately, the project was never fully completed, despite significant time and money invested.

What disappointed me most was the resolution process. Even though important parts of the project remained unfinished, the refund I received was very small.

My experience may not reflect every developer on the platform, but based on this project, I cannot recommend Codeable. I expected more accountability and a fairer outcome when a project is left incomplete.

Codeable are more involved with the selection process than other companies. So when finding a company that would be able to do the work I wanted, I did have more confidence.
