This is an amazing service! It starts with being affiliated with the reputable WordPress brand. Then it provides a very needed service that I don't know how to do--find a dependable contractor to develop my website. I laid out my needs and three people put a out a bid. I didn't choose the least expensive but the person who provided the most comprehensive overview of what he would and could (and did!) do. It's necessary to share passwords, and that is done inside a secure Vault. I felt from beginning to end that Codeable was a business of integrity and security.

I was looking for a WordPress expert to redesign my website and migrate it from Wix to WordPress. I successfully connected with that professional through Codeable. I like how I was able to entertainer several offers from different experts and select the one I felt was most suitable for my project. I also like how Codeable uses an escrow payment so that the funds are not released until I was satisfied with the contracted work.

I wanted to migrate my personal website, started in 1996 with hand-coded HTML, to WordPress. My plan was to get someone to migrate, then I’d learn WP and then add to and manage the site. I tried Codeable. My experience was amazingly positive.

The developer I selected for the project stood out from the start: good communication, quick response, professional and personable, clear language for someone not familiar with current jargon and processes.

He migrated the old site and added some updates to the design that freshened the look and feel. He explained and taught me stuff about WP as we went along. The project progressed consistently, communication was excellent, and the project finished weeks before the target deadline.

Yeah, I’ll use Codeable again for any future WP project. And I’ll seek out my now-preferred developer, Mike in the UK, to work on it.

The WP Developer with whom I contracted through Codeable started off criticizing my webhost and trying to get me to change webhosts. Throughout the process, every time he hit an obstacle, he blamed the webhost. He would supposedly run "tests" to show how it was the webhost's fault. I would contact my webhost, who would run their own tests and show that there was no issue. Then the coder marked the job done! Nothing was ever fixed. He kept saying that one of two problems were fixed and the other problem was the webhost's fault. In reality, neither problem was fixed. Then he said since I would not accept the job "he would be FORCED to turn me over to Codeable mediation"! Like a threat. I said, "Fine by me." Lo and behold, Codeable read the thread of discussion and immediately offered me a full refund! Which I just got. If it were not for the full refund, I would have given them only a half a star (is that possible). Avoid! Also, the developer EMAILED ONE OF MY SUBSCRIBERS PRETENDING TO BE ME! Without telling me first. And while he had access about 60 spam users got through which I had to delete. Very very bad experience. I will not use again. I debated giving two stars due to the refund but really, it was a huge fail.

UPDATE: I just read Codeable's response. They are generally correct; they did issue a full refund including fees etc. I do want to note that the developer threatened me with this "mediation" as though it was his cudgel and not an objective process, but they responded in a professional and respectful manner. I did appreciate that. I wasted two weeks trying to get good service from the developer and I hope they do not allow him to bid jobs for them without addressing his behavior. This experience was a fail and a waste of time for me but at least they made me financially whole.

Codeable has put together a team of developers who collaborate for the benefit of the customer. Everything works toward realizing the vision of the customer -- not toward fitting into a manager's revenue generation scheme. Developers communicated with one another about my project statement. No non-developer manager appeared. Online pricing explanation is straightforward and friendly. The Workroom is well-designed for client and developer to move forward. This is working for me!

I have used Orionk at Codeable several times and always been very happy with the service every time. My tech is efficient and diligent. He is knowledgeable and fixes things fast. He is very nice and stays calm in the face of the dreaded tech issue. Reasonable pricing, too. I've gotten great expertise for my money.

Engaged Codeable for a short-term refactor and performance optimization of an already functional production WordPress site, including payroll export validation (estimated two weeks). The objective was stabilization and verification, not a redesign.

The engagement extended well beyond the proposed timeline (approximately four months), with repeated missed delivery dates despite management intervention. Critical validation items and regression testing were not delivered to Definition of Done.

A formal dispute was initiated and concluded with a partial refund (approximately 48% of the original project value), which Codeable processed promptly.

For clarity: none of the expert’s implementation remains on the current live site. The production system was subsequently refactored and stabilized independently. While redesign elements were introduced during the engagement, the final live implementation reflects recovery and validation work completed outside the original scope.

The dispute cited “live value retained,” environment complexity, and communication friction, including the use of AI tools to assist analysis and dev. In modern project environments, AI-assisted workflows are standard and often accelerate validation and remediation. If AI usage introduces concerns, those should be addressed through defined communication standards rather than generalized attribution.

Codeable maintains a reputable platform and vetting process. However, this experience underscores the importance of clearly defined validation gates, strict milestone approvals, and disciplined scope control when engaging on time-sensitive refactors.

Not recommended at all, started a project through codeable, hired a developer at first it worked out. We had a good contact an progress but then he finished the project "scopes" and told me he would continue the work, the project at this point was far from done and complete. He didn't get back to me after that, always postponed and said he will start the work soon, a year passed nothing happend. Contacted codeable support, they ensured they will contact him so he finishes it, guess what, didn't happen same thing as before postponed it till he closed the prjoject openend a new one and wanted it to transfer it to a new developer who wanted 4x times the agreed amount. I filled now charges and also a chargeback
