Breakfast at The Freeman Bridlington
Breakfast at The Freeman Bridlington - I wouldn't bother or waste your time!
Virtually every table was covered in dirty plates and food we had to walk round the entire restaurant to find a clean table. No continental breakfast food out apart from bread, no milk, no cutlery.
When the shift manager was approached she kept walking away. When eventually managed to speak to her she didn't see a problem, was full of attitude and said you just had to ask for top ups! There was nothing there to be topped up in the first place!
In the end with no food we got a refund and went to a lovely cafe on the promenade with lovely polite staff who couldn't do more for you!

Went for Sunday lunch last week and was totally disappointed. Meal was tepid, a ring of water around the plate from where they plated the meagre vegetables they give you. 3 half roast potatoes, 3 thin small pieces of meat, Yorkshire ok (frozen so can’t really go wrong with that) gravy thin and tasteless like the rest of the meal as you could not distinguish anything as all tasted the same, portion sizes are shocking for £12 it’s more like a kids portion! Left feeling dissatisfied and hungry certainly won’t return to SKEGNESS COOKHOUSE

Lockyers Quay, Plymouth
Probably one of the worst eating locations in Plymouth, especially at dinner time, and enforced by Premier Inn, if you have unfortunately booked with them your stay including meals.
Cannot complain about breakfasts but evening meals are horrendous and staff are totally despondent.
If you're lucky they will have changed the frying oil and cleaned the grill a day or two before ordering your meal; otherwise, you'll find yourself eating more batter than calamari and carbonised burgers and steaks, even though they say they are char grilled, the grill is hardly cleaned and the food produced is more charred than grilled, leaving a bitter taste of carbonised meat.
Avoid if possible and if you book with Premier Inn your overnight stay in Plymouth, do not take the meal deal as there are thousands of more delightful and tasty places to eat around the Barbican area and for much less
The steamboat at Skegness
We visited The steamboat at Skegness as part art of a Pemier inn deal.
The guy who greeted us was lovely, very friendly and he knew what he was doing, unfortunately I can’t remember his name. Our waitress Amanda was faultless, she was happy, pleasant and just generally a very nice person. We had a lovely meal and dessert and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Totally would recommend anyone to visit and we 100% would go back.
Breakfast was yummy too!

Cookhouse in Folkestone -STAY AWAY. This is the worst place you could visit. Absolutely disgusting. Didn't bother to touch the food. Got refund with no remorse. Didn't care nor bother to resolve. Will never enter there again. Need to close the place down

I do go here regularly and mostly the food is okay but went for the Sunday Roast and the beef was absolutely disgusting wouldn’t give it my dog! Disappointed. The nice waitress gave me a free dessert but that in my opinion make up for a poor main course. Definitely not be having another roast from this chain of restaurants,
GREAT SERVICE FROM AMANDA
Came in yesterday my server Amanda was absolutely great, nothing was too much for her. Thanks a lot.

Breakfast - cold and sausages raw. Run out of crumpets
Decided to try the breakfast at the Potters Arms in Harlow as this is just down the road from us.
We were very disappointed.
There were no crumpets available as they had run out. It was 7am in the morning, so it was hardly a sudden rush that had taken them all.
The fruit and yoghurts were nice and then we ordered the cooked breakfast. After which, I went to put the toast on (thinking it will take them longer to cook the breakfast than do the toast). A minute later, while I was waiting for the toast to pop up, the cooked breakfast came out. So, it had obviously been pre-prepared. The sausages looked totally pink and uncooked and the rest of it was cold. The only part which was actually very nice and not cold was the Black pudding. We had to ask to have the breakfast warmed up in the microwave.
It was a very disappointing experience and we wont be going back again.

the Honourable Pilot, Gillingham, seriously understaffed
We visited the Honourable Pilot for lunch today, it was very busy but it appeared that one young lady was doing everything. We ordered at the bar she took our order and then we went to the bar to get drinks and waited. Our food was delivered to our table whilst one of us was still waiting at the bar for slowly prepared drinks. It didn’t get any better. We ordered deserts and the wait for drinks began again. This time the coffee was cold so it needed to be returned.
For all this time we saw just the young girl, she took orders, she served, she was also the one at the bar serving drinks, then clearing tables.
This establishment was desperately understaffed!
5 stars!
We had the pleasure of having Sian G as our hostess whilst we dined and honestly she is fantastic! Sian was so patient with my son and it made all the difference, she’s absolutely brilliant, not only her but the food was lush also so 5 stars all round! Thank you!
A place best avoided!
We entered and waited for someone to show us to a table. After 5 minutes when no one came we just found a table ourselves. That should have been a red flag and we should have gone elsewhere. We sat for 20 minutes and someone came to take our drinks order. Another 25 minutes went by and no one came to take the food order. They obviously do not have enough staff on. We finally caught the attention of one of the waitresses and gave our order.
The food arrived and my fish and chips were delicious, though the mushy peas were dried out. However my partner ordered Lebanese Style Lamb Kofta & Flatbread. The menu states that it is served with chickpea & butterbean houmous, tzatziki, pickled red onions, cucumber, red pepper, tomato & mint salad & skin-on chips
It arrived with no chips. A bowl of chips was brought when it was pointed out. They were not skin-on chips - just bog standard frozen chips. Then we noticed there was no houmous, no pickled red onions, and no cucumber or red pepper. We called the waitress over once again and she said she would speak to the chef. She came back to say the chef said there was houmous. We pointed to the plate and asked her to show us. She went back to the kitchen and came back with houmous and said they had run out of picked red onions and cucumber and pepper! What a shambles!
A different waitress came with our bill and asked if we had enjoyed our meals. We pointed out the problem and without being asked she took the drinks off the bill and apologised. However this place is obviously badly run. We live in Bridlington and would have come regularly but they obviously just rely on passing hotel trade who aren't as bothered about the poor service.
A place best avoided I think. There are much nicer places to eat in Bridlington!

Sian G was an excellent hostess. Showed care and attention with a smile. Very welcoming, and hospitable. Sian made all the difference to our day.
Thank you Sian
The longest wait ever
our server Katie was very professional and could not be faulted unlike the meal which was a miniscule miserable offering the only big thing was the humongous long wait for it perhaps it was the 33% discount that did it. It certainly wasn't the huge numbers being served.
Great meal at Lockers Quay
