Good pleasant service in Skegness Steamboat
Kayleigh was, as always very pleasant, and even though it was a busy lunchtime the meal cam out promptly. Food qaulity was of a good standard

Visited the honourable pilot today, with my friend. We had a lovely meal freshly cooked and we really enjoyed the desserts too!! What really made a good impression was CHELSIE, they were attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We didn't even get kicked out when we realised we had been talking for hours (long awaited catch up). As a customer service manager myself, service is all important in building good relationships with customers and CHELSIE was a superb example today. Thank you.

Cookhouse and Pub, Folkestone

Having booked this venue, we were handed a long list of items that were not available on the restaurant menu upon arrival. The food we ordered was of poor quality and inedible. After leaving 75% of both our meals, the waitress asked if we had enjoyed our meal. Rather than embarrass her, I mentioned that the meal was of poor quality. She politely responded that the management had to go to a supermarket to buy the ingredients due to a supply chain issue.

Given the restaurant’s location, it is frequented by continental tourists. How embarrassing it is to think this is the quality of British food this restaurant is happy to serve. Restaurant managers should be ashamed of themselves

Many items on the menu not available- were not told what wasn’t available until after drinks were ordered. Long wait for food then had to send one meal back because the steak on the mixed grill was pitiful. No rice to go with curries/ no fish/ no Xmas menu meals. Overall appalling.

Went for their Christmas menu today but no Turkey meals available also no sauce for the prawn cocktails and two of their puddings were not available. We made iur own sauce wuth mayo and ketchup so was surprised the chefs couldn't. It was 1pm and the place was busy so service
was slow. The young man that served us was superb and really helpful his name was Nathan so pleasant and our steaks were.cooked to perfection by Dylan in the kitchen.

Visited the West Bromwich restaurant which is the best and only traditional food restaurant in the town. As regular customers to this restaurant we visited at 07:30 the restaurant was busy as usual. We had booked our table before our visit and was shown to a table. We didn’t have to wait long for our server ( Katie) to take our order for drinks and food a really nice friendly person. The food was cooked perfectly and I even commented to the chef as we were leaving. People these days are quick to complain but seldom to praise. Please keep our favourite place going .

Folkestone Brickfield - only went back as I had a birthday voucher . have not been for a long time as quality of food and service so poor , was hoping for improvement.
Service was poor , offhand. Partner's fish and chips so bad she could not eat it , so bad the manager applied a full refund without any argument. Be a long time before we visit again what was one of our regular treat stops.

We have been to the cook house restaurant on the Isle of wight about 14/15 times and always had good food, but this time it was very poor I had the gammon steak with chips the gammon steak was over done and very tough the chips were dark and cooked at least twice, my partner always gets the smothered chicken with barbecue sauce and always was lovely, this time over cooked and hard the chips were fried until brown and hard, so we will give it a miss for a while, maybe a new chef that doesn't care as much as the other chef's l, but whatever it was it needs fixed now before it ruins the cook house's reputation for good

Sandown cliffs… place needs closing and a new management and staff needs putting in place. Maybe someone with some kind of experience in a restaurant or anything really. Utterly abysmal… probably the worst part of the isle of wight

My partner and I recently visited the Steamboat in Skegness where a waitress (accidentally) knocked over a full pint of beer onto my partner whilst attending our table. My partner then had to sit in wet trousers and blouse whilst we ate our meals. When it came time to pay our bill I expected the manager to at least mention that they would comp our puddings, but he said nothing, I had to ask for some compensation and I was offered a measly pint of beer, to keep the peace I accepted this but inside I was fuming. My partner and I were supposed to be going out from having our meals but instead we had to go back to our hotel and didn't bother going out again as our night was ruined. I have contacted the guest relation department but I seem to have been ignored. Just a little warning for anyone eating here, expect nothing you'll get nothing, I certainly won't be eating at another Cookhouse establishment.

cook house Lockyers quay plymouth give it a miss and be better off having fish and chips over the barbican.
staff all had miserable faces on them and clearly didnt want to be there. The food was tasteless luke warm and very very small portions. We just drove 6 hrs and popped in there once we checked in at premier inne. The mash on my husbands plate that went with the pie was a tiny ice cream scoop that wouldnt have filled a baby up and neally £6 for 2 tiny pieces of garlic bread was a rip off. No value for money and quite frankly i would be ashamed to serve the portions up ...a word of advice pop to plymouth city centre more options and pubs round the area.

Went to cookhouse and pub PLYMOUTH Lockyers Quay for Father’s Day on Sunday 16th of June for “DADS EAT FREE” food was very small portions. But when coming to pay for the meals we noticed that my meal was taken off as the free meal and not my dads (I’m not a father) when we questioned the waitress she said it’s the “cheapest meal that gets taken off” when we said it does not state this anywhere on the voucher she replied with “that’s what my manger briefed us in the morning. We didn’t want to cause too much of a sense so just left it but whilst this was going on the manager looked at us and just walked past knowing we weren’t happy which I don’t find professional. How is this fathers eat free when it’s the cheapest meal free! We went the year before and my dad was asked the meal he had and it was taken off without a problem. This is false advertising and it should state cheapest meal free. Very misleading

I had the hotdog and chips, tasted like Gandhi flip flop, the chips was average. Service was really bad, best part of meal was the cutlery. The knife was excellent. Really good at cutting. Also I highly recommend the water.

Lockyer's Quay:
Rump steak ordered medium rare, came rare. On return was correct. Black pepper only a powder in tiny sachets.
The following day I had the mushroom starter - with "herbs and garlic": solid hard crust of some unrecognizable make-up, no herbs or garlic in sight or taste, the mushrooms inside small and limp, very loose inside the crust. Then a 'stacked burger'. The meat was dry (overcooked anyway), the chips were soft, the garnish peremptory, the cheese transparently thin, coleslaw unattractive. Did not finish.
The menu is common-or-garden pub fare, which if done well is perfectly good. This was well below par. I have little desire to return.

Stopped off for a meal at Cookhouse, Anchor Inn, Gargrave, Yorkshire. Couldn’t fault the visit. Staff were great, service was great, atmosphere was relaxing and food was excellent. Prices were very good. Would definitely visit again. Well done to al staff.

Went to queen's inn cookhouse at westbrom our main meal was lovely but we ordered a 3rd meal to bring home. They were going to let it cool before we bought it home the chef instead left it under a heat lamp to keep it warm, when I complained about this as the food had shrivelled and dried and said I had wanted it cold he took it away and reheated it in oil after I hadn't asked for this. Chef needs retraining on how food can be reheated and left aside as this is completely unsafe and extremely unsanitary. No solution was given after I asked, no free dessert no refund nothing.

Absolutely diabolical, went to potters arms in Harlow ,would say stay away , go to McDonald’s would get much better service. . From start to finish ,table wasn’t ready 1 meal didn’t come out until we had all finished ours . No apologies all staff seem stressed . Food average .

VIsited on a Tuesday evening, no issues or problems.
met on arrival with a happy chap, seated quicky.
quickly asked if i wanted a drink and allowed a bit of time to choose a meal, once done, food was freshly cooked and spot on, no issues or problems.
will visit again
