The Cornish Bed Company Foundry & Showroom Par Avis 

Was thing about new bed and matress.
But I also like to research companies first. THis company does not display there company registration number - why? So I emailed the company NO response after many emails. This is very odd why would they want to try and hide it. After some research the comany has a very shady structure and the accounts are very poor. I will contiue to invesigate and report more later

Bought a few different metal beds over the years the one from Cornish Beds has been by far the best quality and the most expensive but worth it. Had a few questions that were answered quickly and they delivered all the way to the top of Scotland for us.

Our new bed was delivered today. The men who delivered it were absolutely lovely. Kind and very efficient at their job. The bed itself is stunning. The photos don't do it justice. It is an heirloom piece. Absolutely a work of art. We waited a bit longer than the stated 6 weeks due to ordering over Christmas/NY period but this wasn't an issue for us and the product and service are outstanding. We received email to arrange delivery date and a call on the day from the delivery men who as I said were lovely. The cornish bed company and the delivery service company both replied almost immediately when I emailed them. This bed is made to order, from the best quality materials, not mass produced rubbish, which even on the costly end from high end department stores is just a nasty replica
This bed is so special. The photos on the site dont do justice to its beauty. Absolute luxury. We can't stop looking at it. If you are debating, it is 100% worth the money and will transform the room. Something you can keep for decades and pass down. Outstanding.

Ordering samples was a straightforward process, with Julian assisting me and promptly dispatching the necessary samples. 

My visit to the Knutsford branch was enjoyable. It is advisable to visit a showroom whenever possible, as the online images does not represent the beds well. Jess provided excellent service. She was knowledgeable, professional, and approachable, and was great with assisting me on what bed base to get.

I did experience a problem during the ordering process, which I later learned was not Jess's fault but rather a result of miscommunication between the website and the Knutsford showroom. Fortunately, the Knutsford team resolved the issue quickly. And, I decided to return to the Knutsford branch to place my order, where I was assisted by Fay, the store manager.  

The process for scheduling the bed delivery was somewhat disappointing. I had anticipated a phone call, but the communication was conducted via email. Had I not checked my emails, I might have missed the confirmation regarding the delivery date suggested by Cornish Bed. 

The delivery team was courteous, friendly, professional and respectful, assisting me in placing my heavy mattress back onto the bed. 

There were a couple of minor issues once the bed was assembled, which I didn't notice when I was asked to view the bed by the delivery team. The first was one of the bed base didn't fit into its slot. The second being one of the knobs from the foot frame was very loose.

I reached out to customer service and spoke with Julian, whom I didn't realise I had previously interacted with. He was friendly and professional and provided instructions on how to address the bed base issue, which proved effective. Unfortunately, he was unable to assist with the loose knob.

After sending a few emails to Cornish Bed in regard to the loose knob. Fay contacted me to explain that the knobs can come loose and provided instructions on how to tighten it further. I was able to tighten the knob, but didn't use a tool as suggested. Fay was friendly, professional and helpful. 

Despite these minor issues, the Abington bed is very heavy, elegant, and impressive, making it an attractive addition to any bedroom.

I love the certificate that accompanies the bed. Additionally, I love the gift I received from the Knutsford branch. However, it would have been great if they were wrapped in some type of outer protective packaging prior to being placed in the delivery bag.

Overall, I would recommend Cornish Beds

We had a beautiful four poster bed made and took it to France. When we got it there and eventually put it together I noticed that there was some smudging on the paintwork. We spoke to a man called Gary who was very good who eventually got us another bed sent out, we paid for shipping. When it arrived the bed was worse than the original bed. Paint work was chipped and the poles for the top wouldn’t fit properly. Luckily we had the other bed to use there tops. But unfortunately Gary had left and we was left with someone not so helpful saying if they’d put it together we wouldn’t have seen the chips in the paintwork. I was horrified. This problem wasn’t resolved as I was disappointed with that attitude!

The bed is beautiful sadly the bed came with a middle support bar which was the wrong length. Which the amazing delivery drivers shared with me upon finding this.

As it was a bank holiday this meant a longer delay I am sure than normal if this was to happen at a normal working day week. Having a disability I was unable to put together the bed myself so had to request they come to put it together, as they are a solid heavy frame. So I had to wait from Friday till Wednesday in my new home unable to use or have a bed to sleep on just an old camping mattress.

This is very much a luxury bed and I appreciated the call off the director Peter to apologies and organise the part to come and the bed to be put together on the Wednesday but given the price I paid for the mattress and bed I felt a gesture of goodwill when I enquired about making a second purchase with them for a made to measure mattress.

Days have gone past and I’ve had no reply not even a check in call to see if I was happy. I understand mistakes can happen but it would be nice to follow up with the customer after a quality control mishap like this.

This is an update of my review below.

The company contacted me to apologise and honoured their offer to provide the upholstered slats and the bed was delivered yesterday. Although the original slats were shockingly poor and not, as the website says, made in their Devon factory, the bed stead itself is very good and looks splendid. The upholstered slats are covered over so you can’t see them but they come in a natural mat packaging - apparently natural mat own the Cornish bed company and presumably that is their Devon factory. It is not clear whether the slats are made in the Devon factory or if the basic slats are bought in and upholstered by natural mat. This may be something to explore if that is important to you - the condition and quality of the slats are important to me as that is actually what one sleeps on.

I have just had delivery of the Victoria nickel superking bed and had to reject it as it was being brought into my house due to the shockingly poor standard of the slats - which I was then informed are not made by the company but are made elsewhere and bought in- buyer beware - the slats were rough, chipped and splintered and the frame of the slats was not beech it was some kind of compressed layer of cheap wood. I took a long time deciding whether to pay over four thousand pounds for a new bed from this company and this has literally drained any confidence I have in them. The delivery men were very polite and agreed that this was not acceptable and rang the company who apparently said that without extra cost to me they will replace the slats with upholstered slats that are made in the workshop. They have not spoken to me or apologised but apparently are going to ring me later today to discuss the next steps.

During a holiday in Cornwall, we took the opportunity to visit the foundry and showroom in Pa, Barry the Manager showed us what was on offer and gave us a very interesting tour of the works.
I had some concerns about getting the bed up our very steep and height restricted staircase, Barry explained the options, allowing us to order a beautiful king size Elizabeth bed along with a zip and link Naturalmat Superb Spring mattress.
We were kept updated throughout, everyone was polite and friendly.
The bed was delivered on time by two very helpful and considerate guys, who assembled the bed and removed all the packaging.
Our new bed looks and feels superb.

Absolutely love my headboard. Stunning and excellent quality to last a lifetime (or more!).
The team are just lovely as well, I called with a question before I ordered, they missed my call but rang back straight away and they have such a lovely manner.
The delivery team work directly for the company (not a third party contractor) and they're so respectful of your property and happy to help.
I cannot fault this company at all and will certainly be purchasing again.

We have a few beds from the Cornish Bed Company and unfortunately one of our guests managed to break one of the bed posts. I contacted the Cornish Bed Company and I cannot fault their excellent customer service. Gary was extremely helpful and quick to respond and managed to send out a replacement part. I can't recommend this company enough!

I left it a few weeks before leaving this review but this company certainly deserves five stars. From my initial call service was exceptional. We had to delay delivery due to a delay with our decorator - no problem. The actual product, a king size brass bed, base and mattress is nothing short of fabulous. We are both sleeping brilliantly and my fiancée says all his previous aches and pains have gone. I am having treatment for cancer and my mission was to be comfortable - mission accomplished!! I cannot recommend this company highly enough - it is not cheap but good value for the product delivered and I will never go anywhere else when we need a new bed. Thank you to all involved for significantly improving our day to day comfort experience!

I can highly recommend Cornish Beds. From day one they attended to my requirements and offered suggestions that I had not considered. A bespoke service!

They demonstrated excellent phone and email customer service to my many enquiries: what bed base, cast iron colour swatches, what height and can it be changed? Also ensuring I received my delivery on time, with frequent calls to update me on changes and to check if I was happy. They went above and beyond to help me.

The bed is absolutely stunning. It was delivered and constructed in my room of choice. I went for a Bronze Maud. I'm delighted. I love my new bed and Cornish Beds made the whole process so much easier.
