Stop with inviting friends.

Most of it is good, the teachers do teach well. Still, there are too many notifications. Also, the Cosmo app tells me to keep persuading friends to join and I don't know how.

cosmo is teaching me a lot and is so fun and exciting but in gakku.ai, the coins need to be payed but can't wait for similar stuff like battle of the brains

Cosmo App: Excellent Teachers Redefine Language Mastery

As an adult ESL learner, I have been using the Cosmo App for about a year now and have completed nearly 40 classes. I am extremely satisfied with my progress and the high quality of instruction. The core strength of the program lies in its dedicated teaching staff.
I want to give a special shout-out to my favorite teacher, Mr. Jonathan. He is incredibly patient and always takes the time to explain things clearly. Through his ELA-focused lessons, which often dive into novels and poems, I realized that true language mastery is not about counting words or chasing scores. It is the ability to hear a joke and laugh, to read a book and get lost, to speak one's feelings, and to pen one's thoughts.

Really great program

Really great program! The teachers are patient, dedicated and the app is very easy to use, with lots of fun, interactive tools. Scheduling is very flexible and we have a dedicated rep who takes great care of us. Overall great way for my daughter to solidify what she learned in class.

Education agent just keeps calling

We saw an add on FB and thought of trying out a trial class and get to know about the payment structure for our kid. However upon review we found the fees were too high for us to afford and we did let them know. We again received a call after around 3 weeks and and the agent who herself was having an accent just kept pushing for their class and telling how other online classes are not as helpful. I believe they need to respect our decision and leave us alone once we have respectfully given our decision. I am writing this review because I am really frustrated with the call.

Deeply Disappointed with Your Tutoring Service

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with your platform. Having used several online and in-person tutoring services over the years, I can say with confidence that this has been the most disappointing experience to date.

Your sales process was incredibly aggressive—pushing us to sign up quickly with promises of results, personalized attention, and an advanced AI-powered experience. Unfortunately, what has followed has been anything but.

The platform itself is poorly designed and unintuitive. The quality of instruction has been subpar, and there seems to be little thought given to actual educational outcomes. Your use of AI feels more like a marketing gimmick than a helpful tool—it lacks the intelligence, adaptability, and relevance needed to support meaningful learning.

Worse still, your system for matching students with the right instructors has been chaotic. Despite claims of limited availability, nearly every time slot appears open—yet we’re told to rush to book. There is also a significant language and communication barrier that has made it nearly impossible to get clarity or support.

Overall, the service lacks direction, consistency, and credibility. It feels like a company with an identity crisis, caught between selling a tech solution and actually delivering a quality educational experience.

I regret signing up and would not recommend your service to others. At this point, I would have had a far better outcome using self-guided workbooks or teaching my child myself.

I hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements—for the sake of other families who may not yet realize what they’re signing up for.

Great Teaching

Great Teaching, But Extremely Pushy Sales Tactics

The first free session was excellent—the teacher was engaging, interactive, and made the class enjoyable. My child loved it, and the learning experience itself was great.

However, the business practices were highly unprofessional. From the moment I filled out the registration form, the agent was relentless. There was no upfront information on tuition fees—I was first pushed to take an assessment and a free class before they would disclose pricing.

At the end of the session, I was pressured to commit to a package immediately. When I said I needed time to discuss with my spouse, the agent insisted I turn off my video and call him right away. The level of urgency and sales pressure made me very uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, just an hour after the class, I received a text criticizing my child’s writing with screenshots, stating that their essay was lacking in detail and would be a major obstacle for school and college applications. While constructive feedback is valuable, this felt like a scare tactic to push enrollment rather than a genuine evaluation.

Overall, while the teaching quality was good, the aggressive sales approach ruined the experience.

When I paid nearly $3,000 for a…

When I paid nearly $3,000 for a one-year package that included approximately 84 classes supposedly taught by tutors with experience certificates from top universities, I expected quality support for my 14-year-old daughter, who is taking honors algebra. However, the tutor, who appeared to be around the same age as my daughter, was unable to help her solve the problems. This was a troubling sign.

Many classes were missed, and when I asked for a refund, I was told I couldn't be reimbursed. Instead, they offered me additional classes as a solution. If the tutors are ineffective, why would I want more classes?

I strongly advise against spending your money on this program; it feels like a scam.

I applied to tutor for the company

I applied to tutor for the company. I have 24 years of teaching and tutoring experience and a Masters Degree in Education. I was denied at the first step and can't understand what more this sham of a company would want. Honestly they lost out on a committed, great tutor. I work for another company and have glowing reviews from parents, all 5 stars. Their loss !
