just about the most strong and gluten dough I've ever used
Used 300gms wholemeal and 300gms white strong flours with about 75gms (Lidl) mixed seeds and about 400gms water. Together they made just about the most strong and gluten dough I've ever used. The seeds and wholemeal held back the final rise a little and I've yet to taste the bread but it's looking good as it cools.

Superior quality flour
I’ve recently tried the Strong White Bread Flour and the Pizza Flour. The latter has produced really superb results for my homemade pizza bases. The finished dough is light, crisp and easy to slice even when covered in bubbling hot toppings.
Likewise, the bread flour has enabled me to make soft, white bread rolls for packed lunches, with no additives or unnecessary ingredients. Great products, well packed and delivered promptly with care. Thank you so much!
Flour for bread maker
Have dealt with Matthews Cotswolds Flour on a couple of occasions as cannot purchase my flour in the local supermarket. Easy and quick to order my flour on line. Love the bread it makes and highly recommend them.
I love these flours
I love these flours. I make all our bread, plus cakes and pastry, and the flours are all great. I prefer products grown in the U.K. and also organic if possible and everything from Matthews really suits both sour dough and bread machine. I changed to Matthews from another well-known U.K. flour supplier some years ago as these seem to work better for the styles of bread my family like.

Good quality flour. good service. In my opinion the organic Cotswold Crunch has a better flavour than the regular flour.

I honestly do not like any other Flour than Costswold. I found out recently how good it actually is by buying a cheaper flour supermarket brand, whilst mine was ready to be colleted OMG the cakes so bad it went into the bin. It was awful. You can not get better results for cakes pastries etc by using MATTHEWS COSTWOLD FLOUR! Blows my mind at how good it is and personally now it's worth every single penny your never regret buying it.

There is always a good range of flours, personally I only purchase bread flour, there is a good range and it encourages you to experiment.

Slow delivery but excellent flour
Slow delivery. Haven’t received it yet Should be due today. 1/5/26. Was originally scheduled for 16/4/26. Some problem processing payment at their end but even after payment successful it has been over 8 days until supposed delivery

Terrible Quality White Bread Flour
Bought 5 bags of white bread flour thinking it was good quality and was horrified to find it contained lots of unmilled grains.
Two weeks ago I wrote to them and was told my email had been passed to their complaints department, but despite following up with a second email I have been totally ignored! Come on Matthews this is no way to treat your customers! Things go wrong but it’s how you deal with it that matters!
