Cucumber Recruitment Avis 

I had started this agency start of January, Matt decided to cancel my shifts for the week agreed, they wasn’t going to give me any shifts at all (right idea looking back now) then i had done 2 weeks of work i cancelled one shift with a week notice, Matt didn’t do this and made this my fault for him being incompetent, Then to top it off they forgot to pay me for a shift i had worked over a week ago, i know i am not the only person they have done this, a truly horrible agent and agency to work for, if i could give a lower rating i would.

Cucumber recruitment called me for a pre-employment screening on the 4 December 2025. I told them I had a right to work and over 2 years experience in care and support and I was a refugee in the UK. And the person on the phone told me that they do not employ refugees. Is this not discriminatory and racist policy for a company to not employ refugees who have a right to work and experience? When did it become law in the UK that refugees were not fit to work.
