Cumbrian Cottage Holidays Avis 

Absolutely beautiful house in a perfect location for access to Cumbria and The Lakes. The owner was very helpful and it was a very nice surprise to receive a Cumbrian hamper including all the breakfast items you could wish for! The house had everything you could want and it was a wonderful space for a family of 6 with grown up children and a dog. Would highly recommend and hopefully we will return again soon!!

Excellent property. Excellent location. Well suited to groups of couples (sep. bedrooms and bathrooms)
Overall an excellent experience. 2 couple thought the downstairs bedroom was cold at night. So we had to boost the heating. Apart from that. All perfect.

This place was amazing, perfect if you have a dog too.
Out of the way but also close to the main road.
Loved the hot tub and welcome basket.

Excellent, comfy, well appointed and decorated cottage, so close to all amenities, lake and fells.

It was a really lovely location, even had roe deer visit the garden a couple of times! Bedroom was quite small, but plenty of storage. Really well equipped kitchen. Comfy lounge area with a nice sofa and modern TV. Lovely view from the lounge doors. Nice, outdoor seating area. I found the pool to be too cold for me, but my partner braved it a couple of times. Pool hall area itself was well equipped and very clean. Coniston,
Ambleside and Windermere all within easy reach. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay

Cost cottage was in an amazing location and with the parking permit was an added bonus. There was some issues at the beginning of the stay but this was sorted within a great timeline and they were keeping us informed

Amazing stay - the place is enormous and was equipped with everything we needed for a 3-night joint stag/hen do. Excellent location, we will be staying again next year if plans allow.

Gail was very helpful helping me sorting out something that was non standard. We stayed in a fabulous property for a week and as soon as we got home immediately booked for next year.

We had an amazing stay here! The cabin was beautiful with amazing views, a hamper on arrival and great facilities! Perfect for a few days away from reality and would highly recommend! Only thing I would say which is stated in the handbook on arrival, if attending during colder months, definitely consider bringing extra wood for the hot tub, the owners very kindly give you a starter pack and do offer to sell some, however bringing your own would be handy in the colder months as the hot tub can take a while to heat up, but lighting it etc really does add a little extra something special to the trip. Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful accommodation with such an amazing history. It felt like we were staying in a castle. The views are amazing with deer and pheasants on the grounds. Nice a close to the centre of the village. Only 10-15 min drive the Carlisle.
It has everything you could need for a stay. Milk, tea and coffee were here on our arrival (great after a long drive). The place is spotless.
Each of the three rooms have ensuite bathrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. There is a utility room with washing machine and dryer as well as a seperate toilet for guests.
Honestly such an amazing place to stay. Highly recommend.

Bramble Cottage was small but beautifully formed, very neat and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the welcome pack (bread, butter etc) was a lovely idea. However, when we arrived at the cottage the heating hadn't been put on and it was baltic inside. We did put it on but the cottage, being made of stone, took over 12 hours to heat. We sat on the sofa covered in our coats and throws until finally giving in and got into bed just to keep warm. There was a beautiful bathroom with a huge bath which I was looking forward to after a long, cold days walking but unfortunately the hot water ran tepid at most. Very disappointing. Although the shower was hot and powerful. I did speak to the representative from Cumbrian Cottages who explained that the cottage had not been occupied for many weeks and the caretaker should have put the heating on. If we hadn't have been so tired after a 5 hour journey we would have returned home.

This was our fourth time staying here. It’s a great space for a family get together. An impressive building and has a lord of the manor feel. Great open outdoor view across the countryside with deer roaming freely. We will be back again.

Cumbria cottages we’re very good with communication and responses to our needs
