Paid my final payment on my…
Paid my final payment on my car......over 10k
early to make sure it was received days before. It had cleared but some time after I received a reminder/snotty letter from VW.
They do not check their own systems for payments.
I complained Nov 25 then completely gave up they were obstructive. However did receive a letter at the end of May 26!! (Post mark stamped by VW 21/5/26......letter dated 31/12/25!!!! offering £50 compensation. By the time they remembered to post the letter my time to agree to accept the £50 had long expired.... 5 months!!!!
Contacted Ombudsman and was re offered the £50.
My VW car has been great VW financial services shoddy and unprofessional to say the least.

The transaction was delayed on the car…
The transaction was delayed on the car collection day due to a clerical error made by the dealership which resulted in a 1 hour delay in very hot weather. Also the apr you charcoal is higher than other manufacturers and nearly led me to opting for another BMW
Failure to show basic customer service
Failure to address a customer by the appropriate name, despite being told several times in writing. Failure to use a person's full name as shown on the ID supplied. A failure to display the basics of customer service in other words.

Terrible company Terrible communication
Terrible I’ve had a complaint I raised from 11/03/2026 and till now not been resolved, not had any reply from them, I’ve been calling every week to ask for an update and just get the same response, that they haven’t assigned a file handler and this has not been 4 months , I’ve requested call backs but not had a single call back.

VWFS - avoid and go elsewhere.
VWFS lost the settlement payment when I traded in my Q5 for a different brand. It took over 4 weeks, 8 phone calls and considerable stress to resolve. Initially they blamed the other retailer, then had zero interest in looking for the missing money when they knew it was their fault. Every time I called, the agent gave a different story. You should judge a company on what happens when things go wrong, and VWFS have failed miserably. Still waiting for a call from their complaints team - I won’t be buying anything from VW or Audi until I get an apology. Disgraceful, untrustworthy and no customer focus whatsoever.

The process was completely inflexible
The process was completely inflexible. The dealership entered the wrong collection date, and Audi Finance refused to amend the agreement start date. As a result, I was charged from 16 June despite not receiving the car until 1 July. The collection was originally agreed for 11 July, but I brought it forward because I was already paying for a vehicle I did not have.

We have been with VW for a number of years now. This year was our first year moving between representatives and the level of customer service received was still at the high levels previously received. Due to circumstances outside of our control we were due to return and exchange our previous model earlier. The delays encountered saw event offers expire but the team did everything possible to secure us a new car on the terms and budget we were comfortable with.
