Horrible customers service.. or should I say lack there of.. working on a web page that was never developed.. never finished ..quoted one price and it kept going up after initial payment. Ben was a so called project manager that hardly communicated or not at all ask for things to be done and nothing updated. I recently was told he was fired no update no email on my site. Alex is supposed to be a manager can't get a hold of him.. Matt so called project manager only wanted my payments quick.. I noticed it was always a rush to collect but no work being done in timely manner. Once they get ur money they dont complete your content. I paid almost 3000 for a site that it none existing.. I've called all numbers no answer.. and the one time they did answer I was put on hold after giving them my info then they hung up.. called back no answer .. I have continued to call..everything just rings. They are scammers.. they take money then push u to write great reviews b4 project is completed. I would get calls and text for a review within the first 2 months..almost a year later no website. They think they will keep my money... do not work with this company..every number called sounds like the same person different number and different name.. Alex sounds like ben..ben sounds like Austin. Their names are fake as well.. please don't believe all of these good comments and stars.. its forced...no communication at all.. rude and fake company..they reassure you the work will be done but nothing I paid for a service that was never rendered..

This company is a total scam!!! Since the project manager till the guy you spoke first to request the service. I paid $450. I spoke to Roy and he said they usually charge $300 but since the project was rushed I needed to pay $450. I decided to do it but the problem is the project was never finished. The deadline passed and they never did any job. I called so many times the number on the email and the number was not a working number. Then on Monday some contacted me saying they needed more money if I wanted the job done. STAY AWAY from this scammers or you will regret it

Working with this company quickly turned sour. I do see the effort that Ben and his team put into their work, however overall my experience was frustrating. It’s been 6 months and my site is still not done. Im tired of being ignored for weeks on end.

Throughout the entire design process there were issues that I kept having to bring up, things that were getting overlooked. My main complaint was being ignored. Once I approved the website design I found of multiple errors in how the website functions. after getting ignored for quite some time I reached out to someone else on the team, Theo who was able to get Ben to follow up with my website errors.

The main reason I wanted a website was for the mobile version. I expressed this during my first call but somehow the mobile version of my website is so poorly put together.

The initial payment made towards hiring this team is not the only payment you will be expected to make (to have your website functioning properly). I expressed from the start that I have a strict budget and I was OK with knowing that this company can’t work with if my budget is too small. However, I never got that response. I do wish there was more transparency about further costs down the line that were necessary to get the website up and running. Time after time I thought I was on the last payment only to find out there was another added cost that was necessary to completing the website. their reasoning for not telling me about these costs from the beginning was that it was common knowledge (Shocker, it’s not).

Lastly, I want to add that I have worked with square space in the past and it is so much easier especially when it comes to the backend editor. I am in the process of adding in my photos and content to my site and let me tell you, it’s pain in the ass! The backend editor can only upload 3 to 4 photos at a time. every time you upload you need to refresh the browser only to see that one of the photos didn’t upload now you need to go back find that photo and try again. This is just part of the troubles with the backend editor.

This excruciating process makes me regret my decision to work with custom guru but I have no other choice at this point but to stick with it.

This is just my genuine honest opinion of working with this company.
As my site is still not where I see fits, I hope that I can come back & update my review and (hopefully) say that I like my website.

I was contacted after asking for calls through bark.com. custom web guru was the only company who called me back. from the start everybody was very nice and concerned to get me what i need. they are very helpful and amazing pricing is one of the top points to mention. if you are looking for a great company that cares about you and your business and not just about making money, custom web guru is the way to go 🙂
