The price was outrageous and as I did not go ahead cost me $50. They quoted $1200 to clear a drain and I had it done for $300. Would never use them again!

Complete rip off and terrible experience
Dan's Plumbing is just a cover for Prestigious Plumbing...and they are a huge scam. I thought I was calling a local plumber, then a guy shows up, quotes me $1800 to replace a shower head and rail and $1200 to fix a toilet that keeps on running. It turns out that the first guy was the "sales" guy and I stupidly signed for the work - he told me all sorts of reasons why it was complicated and would cost xyz. Then when the actual plumber showed up, he spent the whole job FaceTiming his supervisor to ask how to do the work!!!! He replaced the shower ok (obviously I overpaid enormously) but after all he did, the problem with the toilet wasn't fixed. He starts saying the "sales" guy will have to come back to do "pressure testing" which is where I got suspicious. Paid for part of the work, let him leave, then tried calling the customer service line - no one picks up. Called the "sales guy" directly and said I am not having anyone else from the company to mu property and I won't be paying the remainder of the invoice, as they did not fix the problem as quoted. Just awful. Avoid at all costs!

WARNING: Predatory pricing targeting seniors. $300 fix quoted at $4,500.
Please be extremely careful before calling this company (operating as Dan’s Plumbing / Prestigious Plumbing). I am writing this to warn others, especially those with elderly parents, about their "fixed-price" model which is used to mask massive overcharging.
We called them for a leak investigation. They applied a 10% "Seniors Discount" which felt helpful at first, but it was just a foot in the door. They charged us $4,522 for basic investigation and replacing standard taps. Looking at the breakdown they eventually sent, they charged over $1,000 for standard washing machine valves and over $600 for a single garden tap.
The worst part: After the "investigation," they gave a verbal quote of another $4,500 to fix the leak in the wall. We got a second opinion from a local licensed plumber who found the leak immediately and fixed the entire thing for just $300. That is a 1,500% price difference.
Do not be fooled by the high number of 5-star reviews. If you look closely, many are generic or follow the same pattern—they appear to be part of a reputation management strategy to drown out real experiences like ours.
We have lodged formal reports with the QBCC and the Office of Fair Trading (Ref: I-2025-01251). This business model relies on high-pressure "emergency" situations to charge unconscionable prices. Save yourself thousands of dollars and call a local, honest plumber instead.
