Installation was easy. Setup is a bit confusing. Documentation is poor. Having to use a QR code and then find your documentation through all the products is a royal pain in the derriere.

Had to sign an agreement to accept…
Had to sign an agreement to accept responsibility for the unit if it wasn't keep't on charge during storage at the motorcycle repair centre in order to get a free replacement. it was in a motorcycle centre that promised it was on charge, however this was the second unit to fail as the first failed on charge at home. The first tracking system had failed within the first few months and it was replaced, the second tracking unit has failed two weeks after fitting in December 2025, because this also has failed I am not insured. I was very surprised about having to sign a waver about keeping the battery charged, however I had not choice in order to get the unit replaced FOC (not the fitting)
In order to kept the vehicle on charge at home, the unit will be fitted in the near future when the centre will be returning the vehicle.
My main worry is that the tracker unit itself will no sustain a charge after 8 hours and if the battery is disconnected (meaning any thief could remove the motorcycle battery and simple hide the vehicle in an area without GPS and come back at a later date to strip it down).
I have still had no reply to the extension of the subscription has been replied too. I have still paid for a subscription upfront and have had had not extra time from December 2025 until Feb 2026 added to this subscription. The defensive nature of the tracker company over complaints and the time they have taken to agree a replacement(two months) has been very disappointing.

Having reviewed the notes on our system, the issue that occurred was due to the motorcycle's battery being discharged as it had not been connected to a charger during storage. As the tracking unit relies on a stable power supply from the vehicle, this resulted in the unit temporarily ceasing to operate. This is often why it is advised for motorcycles to be kept on a charger if they are being stored for a prolonged period of time.
We understand that this agreement may have been unexpected, but this is to simply confirm responsibility for maintaining an adequate power supply to your motorcycles to ensure correct operation of the system.
We're pleased to hear that this matter has now been resolved and that the new unit will be refitted shortly, and you will be contacted about this soon.

Very impressed
I recently had the Datatool Stealth fitted to my bike and experienced how quickly the system responds.
The bike seller started the bike while the RFID tag was still inside the building with me. I immediately received a call from Datatool and had to press 0 to confirm it was a false start.
The response was extremely fast and shows that the system works exactly as intended. It gives real peace of mind knowing they react straight away if the bike is started without the authorised tag.
You can also see all your trips in the app, which is a great feature for tracking your rides.
Very impressed with the level of security and monitoring.

They supplied the tracker for my motorcycle and their monitoring/service feels reassuring.
I got a call today after an alert that suggested my bike might have been at risk. It turned out to be a false alarm, but their response was fast and professional, which gave me real confidence.

Customer service poor
Customer service poor, Tracker turned off in Oct 20250 after a few calls to Scorpion they told me sending info to the tracker nothing happened. Finally got a new G4 unit. Feb 2026, I did get subscription extended.

An exceptional service
An exceptional service. Great back up and peace of mind for you and your motorcycle. I am now on my 3rd MP3 scooter since 2007 and from the outset fitters Datatool tracking device as it will give me a greater chance of getting it back if stolen. To date there have thankfully been no thefts but having the peace of mind that a tracking device offers is great. Apart from this Datatool have an exceptionally friendly and helpful team to answer any questions or to sort out any technical or subscription issues.
