I attended a gay speed dating event organised by DateinaDash, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. It was my first time going to something like this, so I was quite nervous at the start, but everything turned out well. The venue was lovely and had a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere.
I went with my best friend, which helped ease the nerves, and the speed dating itself was well organised and fun. I ended up having a great time, meeting new people, and even making some good connections. After the event, a group of us went out for drinks and food, which made the whole evening even better.
However, I experienced an issue with the matching system afterwards. We were given a link to submit our matches online, but my profile didn’t include the option (the yellow section) to “add matches,” unlike my friend’s. Because of this, I wasn’t able to submit my matches at all.
I contacted both the enquiry email on the website and the event host. They mentioned there was an issue and advised me to try again, but it still didn’t work. I followed up again explaining that I was having trouble navigating the website and submitting my matches, but I haven’t received a response since.
Overall, it was a fun and memorable night, but the post-event process and lack of follow-up support were disappointing.

Attended the Tattershall Castle Event on Friday 03 April.
Rob hosted the event, he was personable, friendly and professional. The event ran like clockwork and very organised.
The attendees were lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would recommend to others. Nice venue!

Very Dissatisfied 😔
Avoid this company based on my experience. The event I attended was poorly organised, with people not turning up and last-minute cancellations.
I was told to contact the organiser but received no response to messages or emails. When I arrived at a follow-up event, I was initially told it was cancelled, but it later appeared to go ahead with uneven numbers.
Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and frustrating.
Update: Rob is correct about me attending without obtaining confirmation in advance, this is because all of my calls and e-mails were not responded to, my requests were made before the follow up event I attended was fully booked.

We strongly dispute this review.
You did not have a valid ticket or booking for the event and arrived without registering in advance. As clearly stated in our booking process, all attendees must have a confirmed place so we can ensure balanced numbers and a properly run event. Unfortunately, this means we cannot accommodate walk-ins.
The event itself went ahead as planned, was fully organised, and ran to schedule with confirmed participants. There were no issues with attendance or structure.
It’s disappointing to receive a negative review based on an event you did not take part in. We always encourage anyone wishing to attend to book in advance so they can experience the event as intended.

Decent night out
The evening had a good turnout and used a standard speed‑dating format with four‑minute rounds. The Clapham venue, however, felt cramped, and a larger area would be beneficial and improve overall conversation quality.

Unprofessional and unethical
Reposting this review following another attempt by the company to have it removed. This time, it was flagged for including the name of the individual I have been dealing with - despite the fact they publicly sign their own name within replies to reviews. This follows a previous instance where the company published my personal data in their response, which Trustpilot subsequently removed.
This raises concerns about inconsistency and suggests a greater focus on suppressing customer feedback than addressing the issues raised.
I am continuing to escalate this matter through formal channels, as the company has been unable to resolve concerns in a timely or appropriate manner.
The company is entitled to respond to my review as they wish, however all of my claims are fully documented and verifiable. If any statement is inaccurate or unlawful, they are welcome to pursue it through the appropriate channels. My review will be removed if their claims are proven correct…

I attended a speed dating event and was unable to send match requests to the people I wanted to afterwards - defeating the whole purpose of paying for a speed dating event! The issues I experienced boil down to poor event management and the company’s last minute merging of two events (which has been confirmed to me by another guest I met on the night).
The company also tried to coerce me into deleting my online reviews in exchange for a full refund. They also publicly disclosed my name in response to my anonymous review, demonstrating a lack of understanding and/or care for protecting customers’ personal data.
I’ll let quotes from their emails speak for themselves:
• “Yes there was an issue with the matching which I apologise for”
• “I acknowledge the issues it happens but you seem hell bent on damaging a reputation to get your money back”
• “I do not believe slandering a small company online is of any benefit to anyone”
• “If you wish to draw a line under this then you can remove your reviews on both Trustpilot and Google which IMO do not paint a fair reflection of the event and I can process the refund”
• “So if you wish to remove the reviews and draw a line under it then I will need your ticket and the last 4 digits of the card used?”
• “If you want this matter swiftly resolved and to draw a line under it then remove the reviews and send me the last 4 digits of the card used because I do not believe they are fair or accurate”
• “Please send me your last 4 digits of the card used and do the right thing and remove the reviews and we can draw a line under this”
Despite explicitly acknowledging the problem with the matching system, I have not received a refund. The company’s conduct demonstrates coercion, mismanagement, and disregard for customer rights and data protection. Multiple other reviews online report poor communication, cancelled or merged events, and unfulfilled refunds, showing this is a pattern rather than an isolated incident.
I cannot in good faith recommend this service and shall be reporting them to Trading Standards.
Update: The company flagged this review as containing “harmful or illegal content.” Trustpilot has since investigated and confirmed it does not contain such content. Trustpilot have also sent a warning to the company regarding their attempts to force me to delete my review, as well as removing their response which disclosed personal data without consent.

Your review contains a number of incorrect assumptions which need to be addressed.
The event was not merged with another event. There were two separate events taking place at the same venue at the same time. All attendees were checked in correctly, and you were directed to the correct area on arrival. However, you were seated in the wrong section, which meant you met some attendees from the other event. This is why some of the people you met did not appear on your matching list afterwards.
We responded to your initial email promptly and agreed a resolution with you. At your request, we contacted the individuals you named. Once that was done, the next step was to wait for those individuals to respond. There was nothing further to update until that happened.
You confirmed at the time that you were happy for us to proceed in this way. You have since changed your position and stated that you are no longer interested in pursuing those connections, despite us having carried out what you asked.
As we have already contacted those individuals on your behalf, this action cannot be undone. If any of them respond, we will handle those responses appropriately.
For clarity, we do not require customers to remove reviews in order to resolve issues. The message you refer to was part of an attempt to draw the matter to a close, not a condition of any resolution.
We also note that you referenced having a positive experience with another provider, while also choosing to attend our event. We run a large number of events at competitive price points, making them accessible to a wider range of attendees, and this is reflected in the volume of positive feedback we receive.
We do not agree that your experience reflects a one-star review. You attended the event, met multiple people, and participated fully. While there was an issue with the matching in this instance, it was a limited issue rather than a complete failure of the service.
The event itself took place as advertised and for that reason we do not consider a full refund to be appropriate.
You are of course entitled to raise the matter with any third party should you wish. We are confident the situation has been handled appropriately.
We do not accept the wider claims made in your review regarding how our events are run.
We have taken reasonable and proportionate steps to assist. At this stage, there is nothing further to add.

It was my first speed dating event that I have ever been to the manager of the event made me feel welcome I was a bit shy at first I would definitely recommend to anybody to go and try it out and it's a great place to meet new people and to have an experience if you are you looking for love that's

Blame the algorithm
Event wasn't cancelled despite barely anybody signed up.
At the venue even less people showed up so i didn't take place in the end.
The people present, some regulars, said they are displeased with the service in general.
The host blamed the Google algorithm for the lack of attendees.

I’m sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the turnout on the night.
We cancel events in advance where we expect there to be fewer than 10 dates. In this case, the event had sufficient bookings on paper to go ahead, so there was no reason to cancel it beforehand. Unfortunately, a number of booked guests did not attend and did not let us know in advance. That is not something we can control, and it can affect the final turnout on the night despite the event appearing viable beforehand.
You mentioned that some regular attendees expressed dissatisfaction with the service generally. We take all feedback seriously. At the same time, many regulars continue to attend our events week after week, which suggests that the overall experience remains positive for most guests.
In relation to the host’s comments, there had recently been volatility in our traffic and sales following a Google algorithm update, which had affected bookings more broadly. That said, I appreciate that this is not especially helpful context from a guest’s point of view, and we will remind hosts to keep the focus on delivering a positive experience at the event itself.
We do understand that it is frustrating when attendance on the night is lower than expected. However, where an event has enough confirmed bookings to run, and subsequent no-shows reduce the final numbers, there is very little more we can reasonably do.

I attended the Singles open mic night
I attended the Singles open mic night. What fun. I think the combination of talking about our dating disasters and knowing everyone was in the same boat was a winning combination. It too ALL the stress out of being at a dating event. Conversations happened naturally and the atmosphere was friendly and open.
I didn’t meet ‘the one’ but I think some people did. Highly recommended

I think this could be a really good things but unfourtnately, it's managed by Rob. I attended some events through Meetup orgnaised by Rob years back and he was always "unrealiable". I bougt tickets (1 female) on Groupon and it says requires reservastion but resversation on Groupon is blocked and when you try booking on their website, your voucher isn't accepted so you have to email Rob & team which I did giving the event I wanted to attend. Rob got back to me straight away asking for my voucher which I gave him but I never heard from the human again. on the day, I emailed to say I'd not heard anything so I was assuming I wasn't on the list and asked for my voucher not to be redeemed. If you don't wan to honour Groupon vouchers then why promote your business through Groupon? When I saw that Rob was the organiser, I though I give him another try, I expected him to have grown since but no, he hasn't. So now I get to loose my money.

This review is anonymous, so at present we have no idea who you are or which booking you are referring to.
The Groupon redemption process is clearly explained. Customers are required to email us to redeem their voucher. If Groupon says reservation is required but booking is blocked on their platform, that is precisely because redemption is handled directly by us, as stated in the instructions.
Based on your own review, we replied to you straight away and asked for your voucher code. That does not support your claim that you were ignored. It is just as likely that you were being added to the event and the voucher code was being requested to complete the process.
Your comments about me being “unreliable” are also very odd given that you chose to book with us again. If your previous experience was really that bad, it is strange that you returned.
In any case, no money has been lost. If you did not attend and your Groupon voucher was not used, we can review the matter and potentially transfer you to another event. But we will need your actual details before we can investigate anonymous accusations.
Send us your Groupon code, the event requested, and the email address used, and we will check it.

The event was billed as 15 speed dates aged 42-55years. The start time was changed by 90 mins with virtually no warning. There were only 8 dates and ranged from mid 30s to mid 60s. The organisers ignore emails. Be careful this outfit is a bit of a scam

We reject the suggestion that this is a “scam”.
Sometimes event start times do need to be adjusted, but when that happens attendees are notified. We appreciate that timing changes can be inconvenient, but describing it as “virtually no warning” is not consistent with how we communicate updates.
With regard to numbers and age ranges, all of our events depend on live bookings and attendance on the day. As with any dating event, the final turnout can occasionally differ from the original listing, and exact ages can vary slightly depending on who books and attends. That does not make the event misleading or a scam.
We also do not “ignore emails”. We respond to a very high volume of messages, and while there may occasionally be delays, we do deal with customer queries.
If you actually attended one of our events and would like us to look into your specific concerns, please contact us directly with the date and location of the event and the email address used to book. Broad accusations are easy to post anonymously, but we are very happy to review genuine complaints properly.

Dateinadash uses venues which create a feeling of style and friendliness, and this helps to set the stage for a positive evening ahead. They attempt to have a near to equal amount of women to men at their meet ups, and I like that all initial conversations are then conducted via the Dateinadash website until you feel happy to proceed with getting to know someone a bit more.

Good selection of events but the customer service is terrible. I've sent multiple emails to Rob and the enquiries team to retrieve my 'no match guarantee' for a month now and have still not received it. Seems as though hes just ignoring me seeing how active he is on here.
