Daymans DIY is a family run DIY and hardware store which has been based in the heart of Leicester since 1928. Our business has been handed down through generations of our family. Founded by William Edward Dayman in 1928 on the same road that we are based today. The shop is currently ran by Steve Dayman (3rd generation) & son Adam Dayman (4th generation). Excellent personal customer service is at the heart of our business and we always have the kettle on and a hot cup of tea for anyone who comes to our store. Whether its to have a brew whilst they wait for their order or to have a browse around the shop. Many of our customers have become friends over the years and we know them by name as they know us. Our shop is an Aladdin's cave of DIY and hardware including: Tools, Paint, Electrical, Building Materials, Plumbing, Garden Materials and more. We currently have over 5000 products on our website which is constantly growing. Our website and customer service are managed solely in house to offer the best service possible. We offer a number of bespoke services such as bespoke builds and free timber cutting.

Quick delivery time and excellent packaging. I ordered tube light bulbs so always, a chance of breakages in the post. Not a chance with their expert packaging, very impressed 👍

Well they sent me the wrong product
Well they sent me the wrong product, but very quickly apologised and have promised me a refund with no need to return the product I received. It’s of no use to me, but very good customer service.

Excellent firm
First of all Daymans had the item I required . It is a hardwood door threshold not so common these days.
Ordering was easy and the very well packed and padded item arrived in good time. I am always nervous of buying wood unseen due to the many potential flaws. This was an excellent piece, well machined and straight as a die. I would not hesitate to buy from Daymans again. Many thanks, mike

Local, small business, worth a visit in person or online.
Plants!! Lots, healthy, local! Put that visit to a garden centre on hold and try Daymans, great price friendly helpful staff and it does all your diy needs! Parking outside. Small business since 1928 I've been back since the 90s! 😲😍 free local delivery over £35.
