Terrible unreliable backpacks
I bought a backpack from Decathlon for a long trip in Asia that. Its stated the bag had a 10 year warranty so I assumed it to be a reliable bag, how wrong was I!
A week into the trip the bag started to deteriorate with the material coming apart. I contacted their customer service but they offered me no solution except bring it back to the store where you bought it. Impossible as I was 10,000 miles away with no intent of returning home in the six months. Even though they have Decathlon stores in Thailand they would not allow me to exchange in a store here. For such a large worldwide company I am very disappointed with their quality of goods, lack of customer rights and poor customer service.
Terrible customer service
My Decathlon exercise bike broke well under warranty, and they’ve refused to collect it or provide a solution. To make it worse, they don’t even offer recycling options for their own products. Terrible customer service!
Rude Manager
I was at the 3040 limerick store and one of the managers, I think her name was Olivia- manager of fitness she was so rude and I heard some of the stuff she say's about people and I've never been more shocked at how someone can be so unprofessional. I even saw how the employees were acting around her, they all felt so uneasy which was sad to see. Seemed like they couldn't work without her breathing down their throats. Just felt bad for them

Bad website. Nothing in Stock...why leave it on the site if it is not there? No filters on the side for size, colour etc. Utterly pointless
Customer service stopped answering me / no refund/ no product
I wanted chose that wasn't on stock in the ballymun shop. The adviser make me order it online, but the parcel arrived too. So I could collect it in the UPS point.
So I ask for a refund, apparently UPS lost the parcel. On the 15/11/2024 I contacted the customer service that said the will refund me. On the 22/11/24 as I had no refund on my bank account, I contact them again and surprised the refund was done. They said they've done it on the 22. But on the 27/11/24 still no refund. Now the customer service doesn't answer me at all either by email or by Facebook.
Never order online with them.

Now at 15 days waiting for a package that was supposed to be delivered in 2 days by An Post.
Two farcical companies that cant be trusted. And won't issue a refund until delivered. An post don't know where it is. Decathlon don't know where it is and yet they keep your money in the meantime.
Don't ever request delivery from decathlon or using an post. Shocking service.

Do not use the online ordering service it takes way to long to arrive and in my case the item arrived severely damaged. It came in its bare carry case with no other padding or additional protection so it was always gonna get damaged.The guy from UPS just pulled up outside the house dropped the package in the van probably damaging it further then just left it in the garden.
To be fair once I got in touch they were quick to respond to me however the offer of 15% reduction to the item was an insult.
I'll never order online from them again.

I made my order on the 2nd of October and it still hasn't been delivered! They blame the courier for the lost package and they tell me to keep waiting until they have reply from them,but how long can you wait? Decathlon says they delivery time is 1 do 3 working days. It's been almost 2 weeks for me.They don't reply when I'm asking for a refund,what a terrible company! I wish I read the reviews before making a purchase there! Please stay away from them or else you want to throw your money into the bin!!!!

Bad experience instore, item i went to purchase qas put of stock despite website saying it was and a 40min drive , ordered same item online and only after 3 days i contacted them to see what the update on my order was i was told the item was out of stock and would take another 5 days before they got it then it has to be shipped to me so all in all its nearly 2 weeks to get my item, the same item was still showing up as "in stock" on their site 3 days later despite me telling them it wasn't, no proper apology, i wont be dealing with this store again

Worst customer service ever… do not buy a bike here. Gave 1000 euro in the cycle to work scheme & the bike when I tried it out for the first time on the roads was not powerful at all. Ignored all my emails treat like a nobody. The guy we bought the bike off was very helpful but that was it. Once they get your money your dust. Will never stand here & definitely make sure to tell all my work colleagues not up avail of the cycle to work scheme here.

Worst online ordering experience ive ever had, the site is riddled with bugs, they suddenly wanted me to drive 170 km to pick it up, then it suddenly took 2 weeks longer to deliver. They say you can pay by debit card but you can only enter credit cards, they dont let you chose a different billing adress than shipping adress and dont accept credit cards from outside ireland. How exactly am I supposed to order something as a student from abroad?

Staff could not do enough for me
Amilyn and Caitlin scoured the shop for the match off a pair of trainers I really wanted. They were so attentive and friendly, no fuss or impatience at my queries, and spoke of their privilege working in the famous Clearys of Dublins O Connel Street. Lovely staff whenever I visit, but the two girls are particularly helpful. 👌
Such friendly and professional staff
I went to Decathlon next to IKEA in Dublin today. I needed help from staff with a number of items. Starting with the professional and helpful young man on customer service as I entered, to Lourdes in the sunglasses area, to the girls in the check-out area and staff in the cafe, I had an extremely positive experience in getting everything I needed. I was so impressed and pleased by the experience I am sure I spent double what I would have otherwise! Thank you to all the lovely and hardworking staff there today.
Complete dissatisfaction with ordering
Complete dissatisfaction with the recent order I placed for a bike stand. The entire experience has been exceedingly frustrating and disappointing due to significant & clear mishandling on Decathlon's part.
Here is a timeline of the events:
July 18th: Ordered Bike Stand.

July 25th: Package Arrived (5 working days).
The bike stand was squashed and forced into a box too small for its dimensions, resulting in a broken item upon arrival. It was evident that the item could not fit in the intended box, yet someone made the decision to force it in, causing damage.
Resolution Offered:
I was offered a mere 10% refund to keep the broken item. This means I would still be paying 90% of the cost for an unusable / broken product.
July 26th:
I spent an hour repackaging the item, driving to and queuing in An Post office to return it. This additional effort was required through no fault of my own but due to the mishandling of my order by Decathlon.
End Result:
- Frustration and disappointment upon opening the package.
- While the support person I spoke with was courteous, the only solution offered was for me to handle the return myself.
- Time wasted: an hour to get to the post office and repackage the item.
- Submitted postage receipt for the return.
- Awaiting a refund.
I was out €25.49 for the original transaction until the refund arrived and have spent time and effort to rectify a problem that was not of my making. This situation reflects either clear incompetence or a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction.
An apology alone does not suffice. The time and frustration to resolve this issue have not been adequately acknowledged or compensated.
Who pays for my time and petrol to organise this broken product back to Decathlon?
What does Decathlon have to say about the time I have wasted due to this shambolic order management?
Not even a few euros of a voucher to weigh against the annoyance.
Expressed above to customer service and to forward to whomever deals with Customer Complaints to get a response - to be informed "Unfortunately we do not have a customer complaints section, but I will pass your feedback on to our team."

I took my first delivery of Wonky …
I took my first delivery of Wonky coffee and l tried a few pods in my Nespresso by Krups. Thia machine is 4 years old and its temper mental with certain makes of coffee pod so as a result lm limited with certain pod companies.. Any way I've tried out the wonkiest pods first that would be my litmus test.. And to my surprise and im pleased to say they worked perfectly.and tasted great..
Now this brings me to say wouldn't it be great if someone came up with a novel way to recycle them..as I do feel guilty binning them.
