Wrong treadmill. Delivered to wrong address. Now returned by courier but customer given no refund.

-The treadmill we ordered stated it was for running on by adults but a description appeared online later that stated it had a limit of 6 kmph which is in fact a walking treadmill. That description was not available or not seen by us when we reviewed the product and I simply wouldn’t have bought it having previously owned a useless walking treadmill.

-Our delivery was somehow mixed up with another treadmill delivery to Ireland and I was sent the tracking details for that one as if it was my purchase. Once it was delivered to that address, I was told I had received it even though it was a different product and sent to a different customer.

-Finally they sent me a treadmill that I had realised I didn’t want and which I had tried to refuse. I sent it back using the courier that was provided by their seller - DPD. Now it has disappeared and they are trying to track it down. I have nothing. No product or money. I have been robbed.

Decathlon Customer service is very poor

My mistake was i did not look at Trustpilot before I ordered. The issue is the wrong item delivered.
Decathlon Customer service is very poor, misleading and very slow.
After 13 days , I have learnt that the correct part will not be dispatched up until the wrong item is picked up, I has taken Decathlon 14 day to arrange the collection of the wrong item. Their email never explained there was going to be a delay, despite my requests for information. It was only after a phone call to their office in Dublin was I told what was going on. I expect the correct item will arrive some 30 day after the order was placed. Fingers crossed the correct piece arrives,

Decathlon Limerick good customer service.

Went to the shop in Limerick to enquire about a product and the customer support at the front desk arranged for someone on the floor area to take me to the correct location to search for the item I was looking for.
We found the item I wanted and the staff member was very helpful and ensured the item I needed was the correct one prior to purchase.

1 star - misleading delivery estimate

Very disappointing experience with Decathlon Ireland.

At checkout, the website displayed delivery for Friday 15/05, which is why I placed the order ahead of a weekend cycling trip. The order never arrived on time and was instead shipped from the Netherlands with a much longer delivery timeline.

What frustrated me most was the customer service response. Rather than acknowledging that the checkout messaging was misleading, support repeatedly implied that this was due to the delivery option I selected — despite the earlier delivery date being clearly shown during purchase.

If items are shown as available locally in Ireland, customers naturally expect local fulfilment and accurate delivery estimates.

Mistakes happen, but the handling of the issue and lack of accountability was extremely disappointing.

Excellent Customer Service Experience at Decathlon Ireland – O’Connell Street, Dublin

I have always had a pleasant and satisfying shopping experience at Decathlon Ireland on O’Connell Street, Dublin. The customer service is consistently helpful, informative, and professional.

I would especially like to appreciate Nivey, a retail associate, for her outstanding support and positive attitude. She was friendly, patient, and very attentive while assisting me. Her excellent customer service made my shopping experience even more enjoyable.

Employees like Nivey truly make customers feel valued and welcomed. Thank you, Decathlon Ireland, for maintaining such excellent service standards.

Awful customer service…

I place the order more then month ago for electric bike. They sent me confirmation mail for the payment and order confirmation then few days after their partner sent me an order shipment confirmation with wrong item with manipulated order number(they just add-A) I notified them straight away, they said that I shouldn't worry that I will get ordered bike but few days after delivery is coming with scooter with -A order number what I rejected to accept from delivery driver. Customer service said that this is order with their partner, I placed the order with official Decathlon web shop, and that they will sort that out for me. Now they are offering me refund when they will check if everything is ok with returned scooter, hey I didn't accept scooter and notified again Customer service, I don't want refund I want bike that I have paid...
But in the meantime price of the bike was increased and I believe that they don't want to sell it for the price that was before on web shop and it was paid and ordered. I will report them!

Top notch! Cycling dept customer service

I bought a bike for myself and one for my daughter today in Decathlon Limerick. Prince was the employer who assisted me. Top notch service with a huge smile! He went above and beyond to help me and gave me so much time, giving me great advice and putting my bike together for me with all the add ons I desired. Nothing was too much for him! He even put our bikes into my car for me to take home. An absolute gent and a gem! Well done Decathlon Limerick. All your staff have been so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. If you need anything in the cycling department then Prince is your guy! Thank you again Prince.

Ordered ski goggles and took 3 weeks to…

Ordered ski goggles and took 3 weeks to arrive. When I no longer needed them I returned them when I came back from skiing 1 week later! Still no refund and I posted it for refund 5 weeks ago!! I have contacted their “customer service” numerous times. First was told that the invoice they gave me for the refund was not even a decathlon one? Even though the item is Siroko a brand that they sell on THEIR website and ordered from THEM. I sent all my order history to them and received no response a week later. I have been emailing every day and getting no response at all. Absolute robbery. NEVER ordering from them again or recommending to a friend. This is all going on since the 4th of March! So now I have no goggles or refund!

I am writing to you today in connection with my recent order of a walking treadmill. I ordered this for my son’s birthday. I was promised next day delivery which I of course accepted. This was to ensure it would arrive a near two weeks before that day in question. To my absolute dismay your product didn’t arrive until well after my son’s birthday. This was a disgusting and dirty trick on a paying customer. I cannot believe that you think that it is okay to assure someone of next day delivery and instead drop it off weeks later without even a single thought to be spared?! I paid an enormous sum of money to your company because I wanted to support a business which had a premises in Ireland. I didn’t want to just take the easy route of using Amazon but after this experience I can safely say that you have left an enormously sour taste in any future thoughts of supporting a local business. I am disgusted that you believe this is a satisfactory way of doing business. I will be contacting the CCPC because not only is this a horrifically shady way of doing business, it is a breach of consumer rights. Shame on you.

Terrible logistics / customer service

Ordered trainers a month ago, customer service went from probably lost in transit to a collection was missed and we'll resend your goods to this morning telling me they are not in stock, even went to the store in Ballymun yesterday and all they said they could do was send an email! atrocious service and won't be ordering from you again!

Bought couple pairs of jeans ect total just over 110euro, after opening the bag and looking at it, 2 min later it was in the bin it was all in the bin! U could not put cheaper rubbish in a bag if u tried,

I would rate 0 if possible. Ordered many items for pick up in ballymun and 3 days nothing happens. Customer service doesn’t respond to emails. Absolute gobshites

No return option with third party seller via decathlon website

Hello, I bought trainers from the decathlon website. Apparently Decathlon Marketplace is a platform where selected third-party sellers list and sell their products through the Decathlon website. The trainers I bought were sold by one of these third party sellers Pertemba. This means if you have a problem then Decathlon will simply refer you to the third party company. The trainers are too small and I’m trying to return them. Decathlon provided a link which leads to Pertemba returns however when I register the return it advises to email Pertemba who at directing me back to the Decathlon marketplace saying Decathlon are responsible for the return. Basically both organisations are saying it is the other’s responsibility. Total scam. I’ll never purchase from Decathlon again.

Don't get delivery

I like the products. Good quality for the price. However if you but online the package can be left anywhere. In my case a shop two miles away. They use UPS who didn't respond to customer query or emails. Contacting decathlon will get you a response. Just the one though.

No more online shopping with Decathlon

I ordered a percussion massage gun online and received it on Tuesday of this week. I opened it carefully (as I like to keep original boxes) and checked it and it was way too powerful. It was very painful actually as I tried it on my clothed forearm. I put it back in box immediately and contacted online customer service.
They will not allow me to return it as they said ‘its was opened and used’
I though I had rights as an online customer for a product that does not suit.
Actually they have come back to me now and agreed to take back the appliance!
I would never buy anything online from them again though as I would be too nervous of been stuck with it if it didnt fit or suit!
