Horrific service. I purchased bike and cover with Klarna. Of course with proper delivery for bikes. Decathlon cancelled bike cause it’s out of stock….and processed delivery and cover for bike. 60 eur... Voir plus

Don't order online, They deliver very late
I ordered online on July 25th and received It on August 19th. It does not make sense. Even very small companies wouldn't do this
Decathlon online experience
Bought a selection of camping gear online, which was packed and dispatched quickly. However it sat with An Post for the last 3 weeks. I reached out to Decathlon customer support who were very helpful on both occasions unlike their delivery partner. The order arrived today with all items present. Deducting 1 star for the lack of choice in delivery partners given An Post's issues at the moment. I would have definitely paid extra to have a pricey order like this delivered quickly with DPD.
Avoid the online service
Purchased a product online and paid the additional cost for next day delivery, when my parcel didn't arrive they told me it would take 4-5 days. The wrong product then arrived and their customer service team sent me a replacement. The replacement never got shipped as they say it sold out. It is still available in stock now. They haven't refunded me.
Truely awful experience with O'Connell St branch
I could write a novel with how bad this experience was but instead I'll just give the facts...
Terrible communications, chaotic, designed to be uncontactable, lies and shady ways of working.
All this info relates specifically to the O'Connell St branch.
- They NEVER answer the phone so don't even bother trying
- They have no problem selling an item they say is 'too bulky to deliver' and instead, expect you to come pick it up somehow...
- Despite exchanging a ridiculous amount of emails with the cycletowork.oconnell@ email address, I had no idea who I was speaking with. They refused point blank to provide a name several times when I asked. I assume to prevent them getting in trouble for being awful at their job. I don't even know why I was dealing with them because this wasn't a cycle to work purchase.
- They also blatantly lied to me when I asked why my purchase and points wasn't in my account.
Pro tip: Always take screenshots.
If I could've given 0 I would have.
Terrible delivery service. Dont buy! You will not receive!
DECATHLON!!! Terrible delivery service.
Decathlon Delivery left parcel in wrong adress and never call to my phone to checked eircode. And customer service by email come to say need investigation and I have to wait 10 work days. I bought helmet and have urgency on that.
****I want my refund***or at least send same parcel to a shop where I can collect immediately***, It not my problem a company crazy that left parcels somewhere without check eircode or make phone call to customer.
Poor customer service
Bought a tent , was told it was lost in transit but never received any tracking information or email confirmation of my order.
No correspondence of this at all , had to seek out why my order hadn’t arrived only to be informed this. They asked did I want a refund , no I want the tent that’s why I ordered it…. I feel as though I’m being fobbed off.
Don't bother with this company sends…
Don't bother with this company sends out wrong products expects them returned before they will send out correct product.
Delivery services are a shambles say you will have say in 2 days and you might not receive for over a week. They have no customer appreciation and don't always respond to emails just ignore you.
Best to use any other company
High prices for terrible quality…
High prices for terrible quality products.
I dont see why people go there.
Stay away from Decathlon!
Like other reviewers I'm only giving one star so I can write a review.
Shocking customer service. Delivery is ridiculous. No tracking. I contacted the courier myself to cancel the order as Decathlon customer service are completely incompetent.
Have ordered from an Irish company( which I should have done in the first place) and have experienced a far superior service.
I would advise to stay away from Decathlon. The few euro in price difference is really not worth all the hassle!
Purchased an item from Decathlon…
Purchased an item from Decathlon Ireland, only to find it out of stock in-store. The store informed me that they would place an order for in-store collection within 3-5 days. However, the order has been cancelled, and I am currently waiting for a refund after 6 weeks.
I contacted their online support, but they have repeatedly assured me that they will resolve the issue, yet no progress has been made. There is no phone number to call and in store don’t want to know about it.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise against purchasing from Decathlon Ireland in the future.
So frustrating!!
Purely on account that you cannot rate 0 star. I ordered a cooler bag to go on holidays. I received 2 kids shirts instead. When I contacted customer care I was asked to prove I received the wrong order. Then they sent me an email addressed to the wrong name telling me they would resend the orde on that day. I queried that it was addressed to me it and was told it was definitely for me and they had just misspelled the name (some misspelling it said dear Lorraine, my name is Jo). They said it would be here on the Monday. Monday comes and so does the postman but not my parcel. I check the an Post tracker and wouldn't you know it says delivered. Obviously to the wrong address. I paid extra for fast delivery. I am going on holidays and receiving the cooler bag later will do no good to me. You can't even call anyone as it is all by email. This is by far the worse service I have encountered!
If I could put zero stars I would
If I could put zero stars - I would.
Have ordered from them twice, BOTH orders they botched up and their customer service and accountability is atrocious. Do not recommend rather take your money to a company that actually cares and actually wants it.
Bought a treadmill
Bought a treadmill, assembled and was getting shocks off machine when turned on. They sent out a plug to sort, still getting shocks. (quite dangerous) Now they want me to disassemble, pack up and facilitate courier back to their warehouse. Then would have to re-assemble, dispose of packaging etc.
I am not happy that they refuse to send an engineer out to treadmill and it is down to me to facilitate fixing by sending back. All I got was an apology nothing else, even though I would be weeks without treadmill and piece of equipment is clearly faulty and dangerous. Would not recommend.
Very Poor service ,Disappointed, never again
Disappointed, faulty tradmill given, taken for service 1 month before, still no response,
disappointing experience with online store Dublin
I placed an order with this online store in Dublin, expecting delivery within 3 days, as advertised. However, the package arrived after 8 days, which was quiet inconvenient.
I returned the item fallowing their return policy, which states refunds are processed within 15-20 days. It's no been 21 days, and I haven't received my refund. While customer service respond promptly, they fail to provide a clear timeline for the refund, offering only vague excuses.
Given the delay delivery and lack of transparency regarding the refund, I cannot recommend this online store.
Very bad delivery times
Very bad delivery times, and it’s crazy cause the stock is good it’s just the deliver an your stupid store policy’s and clearly yous haven’t read any of these complaints and taken your customers serious , shame
Buy a bike and then 2-Day Wait? Ridiculous Policy
I had a terrible experience when trying to buy a bike at Decathlon Ballymun. After driving for 1.5 hours to the store, I was told I couldn’t take the a kids bike home immediately—I had to wait 2 days due to some absurd store policy.
What’s the point of going to a physical store if I can’t leave with my purchase? This rule is stupid, pointless, and frustrating. If I wanted to wait, I would’ve ordered online from another store! The staff didn’t even offer a proper explanation, just a "it’s policy."
Decathlon needs to change this poor customer service approach. Why waste customers time if you won’t let them leave with what they bought?
Nonsense.
Two deliveries messed up out of 4 items…
Two deliveries messed up out of 4 items ordered.
There is only latest was supposed to be two paddles for a kayak. Only one arrived. Customer services could not send another for some reason so refunded me. However, I am now a paddle short for our upcoming trip, and paid delivery for 2 items, only one of which arrived.
All for appearances, nothing for reality
While browsing Decathlon’s catalogue, I came across the Women’s Briefs with Rip-Tab Fastening (Ref. 8775966) and encountered a series of concerning issues that left me thoroughly dismayed.
The decision to showcase such imagery is not merely a misguided marketing move; it is a deliberate submission to the current dogmas of political correctness. Since time immemorial, advertising has relied upon aspirational imagery, presenting models who embody health, beauty, and vitality to inspire consumers. Here, however, Decathlon has chosen to abandon that tradition in favour of elevating a fringe aesthetic standard, misleadingly presenting it as the norm, all in the name of a misguided inclusivity trend.
Even more ludicrous are the (thankfully few) individuals who, with a comical earnestness, proclaim that these images “reflect the majority of women”.
Seriously?
Thankfully, reality says otherwise.
The attempt to impose the minority as the standard is not only intellectually dishonest but an affront to common sense itself.
Thoroughly distasteful imagery, entirely unnecessary by any reasonable standard.
Utter madness.
Furthermore, I find it regrettable that, despite attempting to publish a fair and respectfully critical review directly under the product page, Decathlon appeared to censor it, depriving customers of a legitimate dissenting opinion. It is particularly telling that positive comments, even those openly admitting they had not purchased or used the product, were allowed to remain, while genuine, experience-based criticism was silenced. Such selective moderation is both hypocritical and deeply disappointing in a company that should instead champion open dialogue and authentic customer feedback from all its clients, without exception.
Helen at the customer help desk Ballymun
Helen at the customer help / returns desk in Ballymun was absolutely amazing. She was so patient and helpful. I didn't have everything I needed with me for a refund, she told me the days that she worked and dealt with everything on my return. Real asset to the company ! I hope her manager reads this
