Great business, Quality ingredients , ok chocolate.
I really enjoyed the foundation of what’s driven these products to be created and developed. Chocolate as we used to enjoy , is now very different and you really have to do your research to find the better quality products out there. I genuinely don’t think anything beats a good Belgian chocolate. My preference and I’m yet to experience better or even a parallel.
I wanted to try this from the basis of ensuring a high quality level of ingredients and replacement to sugar and essentially producing what sounded like (and is) a healthier chocolate experience.
It’s expensive which is understandable as it’s not a mass produced product using cheap ingredients. So the consumer will have to pay more . The bars look great, packaging could be improved but no big issue. The taste was ok, and I guess that’s my biggest issue. The texture is different to what you’d expect from a bar of chocolate and it just tastes a bit flat. My experience from trying it was simply I didn’t rush for more , I was fine for a couple of squares and to walk away. I’ve now had the 3 bars I ordered for 4 days and not rushed back for more after my initial taste.
I don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t make me really want to eat it or buy more. This isn’t a scathing review at all, there are a lot of positives from this product and company. But I wanted to be honest so the company can understand why there isn’t a repeat order from me.

I really appreciate that you understood what we’re trying to do with the ingredients and why the chocolate costs more to make. You’re absolutely right that we’re never going to compete with mass-produced bars on price, so for me it has to earn its place on taste and quality.
I’m sorry that, for you, it didn’t quite get there. Chocolate is incredibly personal, and if Belgian chocolate is your benchmark then I completely understand what you mean about looking for that richness and texture.
One thing I would suggest, if you still have some left, is letting it come fully to room temperature before eating it. Because we use proper cocoa butter, the texture and flavour open up much more as it warms and melts, and that can make quite a noticeable difference.
But ultimately, if you don’t find yourself wanting to go back for another piece, then I completely understand why you wouldn’t reorder. I genuinely value reviews like this because they tell me far more than a simple star rating ever could.

Ronald, I’m sorry we missed the mark for you.
I completely understand that if the taste isn’t there for you, the overall experience is going to feel disappointing. We do have a 3–5 working day turnaround and your order was sent within that timeframe, but I appreciate it may still have felt slower than you were hoping for.
One thing I would suggest with the chocolate is trying it fully at room temperature. Because we use proper cocoa butter, the texture softens and the flavour tends to come through much better as it warms.
We make everything in small batches using proper cocoa butter and quality ingredients, but ultimately it still has to feel worth it to you personally.

Liked the plain but the milk has an after taste that i find unpleasant and is reminiscent of diabetic chocolate

Philip, thanks for being honest about the difference between the two.
I’m glad the Plain worked for you, although I completely understand what you mean about the Milk. Some people are more sensitive to the taste of the sweeteners, and that can come through more strongly depending on your palate.
One thing that can help is letting the Milk come fully to room temperature before eating it, as the cocoa butter softens and the flavour tends to open up more.

Best of all though, is the superb customer service and personalised messaging that comes with the subscription (if you choose that way). I recently had to call DGF and was delighted to find that my name was known at the company. My issue was resolved instantly to my complete satisfaction.
