I am very sorry if you did not receive your prescription - many hundreds of other patients have received everything within 2 days - your email contact for us is online@dermatologist.co.uk and if you correctly quote your case number report we always return and deal with problems - I can see that on Feb 18 2024 a full report and prescription was issued to you - I cannot see a reason why you have not received this - that was less than a week ago - please recheck your own emails etc and come back to us if a problem - regards

Quick helpful clear advice
Quick helpful clear advice with a prescription which I was dispensed at a local pharmacy. A clear improvement in symptoms within a couple of days. A good example of how medical care can be delivered quickly at a very reasonable price.

This service is excellent
This service is excellent. You fill out a form, post a few photos, then 2-3 days later you get a diagnosis and treatment. It is fast and cuts out the stress of going to your GP, especially if you have anxiety.
I would highly recommend this service.

Thank you for your comments - the NHS GP service provides a solid background which will always be there for you - however, you are right, dermatology is under provided in the UK and many GPs have little or no in-depth training despite the vey high incidence of skin disorders - many of our patients use their report from us as a discussion with their GP about future NHS management

Brilliant service from start to finish
Brilliant service from start to finish. Online service works brilliantly. I had a small skin procedure which was quick and completely painless. At the same time I was provided with advice on another issue. Nurse and Secretary provide great support.

Not worth 75pence
After an online consultation £75 with Dr John Ashworth, it was suggested I didn’t have a cyst as told by face to face consultation with another dermatologist and I should go to my dentist or it may be cancerous. Based on his opinion, I was offered a face to face consultation.
Waste of money, wouldn’t bother.
I have already spent £240 for an in person consultation before contacting you. The online consultation with yourself was a tentative step towards gaining a second opinion, not as you imply, aiming to get a quick, cheap diagnosis.
Maybe if you actually read what I had written initially parts of your response would be more accurate and relevant.

I am sorry you feel that the advice to seek a deeper assessment of your problem was not appropriate. Sometimes, (quite rarely actually) all we can say from a photo consultation is exactly that … the appearances may be mixed and seeing someone face to face for a more detailed assessment is needed - if so, this is the 100% correct advice. . The dental issue is about something called a dental sinus - whereby a deep infection in a tooth root can erupt onto the skin and cause confusion. Anyhow I am sorry you don’t quite appreciate that an online consultation is of course limited and not equivalent to a (much more expensive) face to face assessment which is occasionally my best possible advice - we feel we offer fantastic value for a rapid expert opinion

A prescription was provided for oral medication and a cream that arrived very quickly.
It's great being able to access advice from a top dermatologist without the need from a referral from a GP and at a very affordable price point.

I have used this service several times and I have always received top quality advice and medication that clears skin problems very fast, something that can take several months through your GP service.

Very disappointing
Used the dermatologist.ie site. Waste of time and money. Generic template reports. Refused to treat me because I was a breastfeeding mother, didn’t look for alternatives or research fact sheets. Old advice with no care for patient. Asked for refund with no reply. Very disappointing.
Note to the reply: some of the treatments offered only when I decide to end my breastfeeding “journey” are considered safe by NHS, HSE and multiple fact sheets. My child’s Saftey is obviously paramount, I would and will not do anything to put them at harm. I requested a refund because you haven’t provided the service I paid for. Sorry really isn’t good enough.

I feel that what you really wanted was for someone to prescribe for you whilst actively breast feeding and that is medically ill advised - to say the least - as a medical doctor we are regulated and have rules to work around based on sound medical principles
It is fair to say that the fact you are breast feeding restricts treatment options very severely - the fact that you disagree and want to consider pushing ahead with treatments which we the medical profession would not support during breast feeding is something I could not support. You asked for our advice - and we gave it in a comprehensive report of several hundred words and advice about what to do when you finally come to the end of your breast feeding - you paid for medical advice and you received it - the fact that you might have a different opinion does not mean that you should be entitled to a refund? If you go to the movies and dont enjoy it you dont get your money back - sorry
