I first found Lauren Langman through her online dog training courses and later made 5 incredible journeys to Devon Dogs over a 3 year period! It all started with my very reactive rescue Doberman Pincher. It was so bad I thought I would never be able to take my beautiful dog in public. Then I found Absolute Dogs and EVERYTHING changed! My dog is so much better, so much calmer! The transition was so amazing that I knew I had to fly from the US to the UK and have a training holiday at Devon Dogs! I was unable to fly with my Doberman, so I brought my 14 pound terrier mix to the Naughty But Nice retreat. It was AMAZING! My little one (and I) had an incredible time and learned so much. Her naughtiness improved and her ability to focus on me and not the other dogs (and chickens) in the environment was a welcomed transition. I'm ready for my 6th trip!

Loved my time with Devon Dogs. I have been to Bowerlands 3 times from Australia and each time it's been such a wonderful experience. Borrowing amazing dogs to train with, meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. The accomodation is always clean, warm and welcoming.

A really good week of first class training on not only agility skills but also fitness and conditioning exercises for my working cocker spaniels. The instructors are knowledgeable, perceptive, patient and encouraging.
If you want to get the best out of your dogs and keep them fit and healthy for as long as possible and want to improve your own knowledge and skill set…….this is the place to go to. Be prepared to work hard, be open to advice and have fun with your dogs. I have learnt so much and there is still more to do. Will be back very soon.

Devon Dogs is more than just a great place to train your dogs. It’s a chance to be surrounded by people who genuinely care about dogs and to learn from experienced and educated trainers that send you home with new ideas and a plan for your own dog. If you are coming from another country, there are great dogs available to train with on site since flying with a dog isn’t always the best option.

What stood out the most to me throughout the many trips I have taken from Florida, wasn’t just the wonderful training itself, but the atmosphere — learning, helping each other, feeling supported without judgement, beautiful facilities designed for results, and cozy cottages in the most beautiful countryside.

As someone building my own games-based puppy programs, it was so inspiring to see the concepts brought to life in everyday real life moments, not just structured exercises. I came away with new ideas, renewed motivation, and a deeper appreciation for how much environment, optimism, and emotional safety matter for both dogs and people.

These experiences, as well as meeting people I now call friends from all over the world, is something I will always be grateful for.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Devon Dogs and would highly recommend them. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was amazing and made us feel completely at ease. The dog trainers are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive, and I always felt very safe and comfortable during training sessions.

We really liked the balance of 1:1 training and small group sessions, which worked perfectly for both us and our dogs.

The dog-friendly accommodation is superb. When we stayed in the Annexe with our pup it was warm and cozy, while Holly Hock was absolutely beautiful, luxurious, and well equipped. There was plenty of space for us to share with family while still allowing our two dogs to stay separately when needed. We also loved the field at Holly Hock — such a fantastic addition for the dogs.

Both cottages had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay, and it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into making them truly dog friendly.

We will definitely be visiting again!

The most amazing place! Cottages are beautiful and perfect for reactive dogs. The trainers are all so knowledgeable and adapted training to suit us. Really flexible and we improved so much through the weeks holiday.
Cannot recommend Devon Dogs training holidays enough. I loved it so much we are going back again to keep stretching our learning!

I’ve stayed and trained at Devon Dogs several times. I’ve always had a great experience. Lovely cottages, clean and tidy with everything you could possibly need for a stay away.

Devondogs is the most beautiful, magical, peaceful, learning opportunity for both you and your dog( or you can borrow a dog).
I stayed at Holly Hock, AMAZING, such nice surroundings, calmness, a huge enclosed field. Beautiful cottage you could ever imagine.
But my experience learning, being @ Devondogs, doing workshops with Michelle Ingham, 131's with Lesley, working with my dog Quincy.....
In just 7 days we made a HUGE transformation for Quincy but it gave me the feeling of happyness, life, what is important in life, where are your priorities.....
My true answer is that DevonDogs is my safe Heavon, my dream come true!
It is a new world, new experience with very experienced trainers who care and do their work with love!
I am SOOOOO greatful for having had this oppirtunity!

Third holiday at Devon Dogs in as many years and it just gets better every time. The fun and energy are infectious in the best way. I feel my mechanics level up exponentially every time I go and have a chance to work with different dogs and different scenarios. The cottages and farm are just beautiful and relaxing. The people are welcoming and so lovely. It feels like going to my home away from home. Loved the day excursion training dogs in train travel and in visiting a busier town center. This time we stayed 2 weeks and the group was fantastic. We even got to go on road trip to Crufts. Amazing experience and managed so well.

An amazing week in Devon on this Health Retreat and one of the best things I have ever done. Met some amazing people, shared food shopping, meal prep and ate together. Learned so much about my health and continue to get the support from the group. Already planning my next trip.

I would highly recommend Devon Dogs they have helped me so much with my relationship with my dog. The stay and train holidays are excellent, you get to stay on site and train your dog in a safe environment and the cottages are very clean and have everything you need and more. I have done many of the training classes both online and in person and the information you learn is outstanding and they get you and your dog..they listen to you and help you navigate your journey with your dog..🐕

As with the previous review we took out four dogs and despite being sold a very different tailored package and having a nice training lady we did not receive the amount of training promised. Dogs in and out of car in a car park. Would not recommend. When I returned I asked if there was any ongoing support again only if you pay extra so sad

Probably fine for one size fits all training but not what I wanted or what I believe I was sold. I had a long chat on the phone with a member of staff from Devon Dogs and explained my very specific situation, I was assured that training would be tailored to us. It wasn’t, it was my dog with several others in a cold car park. Each dog was out the car for about 10 mins before being put back in while we watched other people’s dogs doing the same, basic, exercises. Absolutely NOT value for money and despite several long emails Devon Dogs refuse to refund anything. Very unhappy.

We’ve just returned from a week at Devon Dogs and it truly was the most amazing experience, in fact, I can honestly say it was the experience of a lifetime! The staff were incredibly kind, supportive, knowledgeable, flexible and inclusive from start to finish.

We trained as part of a small, lovely group of students and their dogs — each of us working through similar struggles and wanting to grow our confidence as owners/trainers. The programme was brilliantly varied, with a mix of theory sessions, practical lessons, workshops, opportunities to observe other dogs training, and so much more.

We were met with genuine warmth, kindness and encouragement, and the level of support and learning was outstanding. Not only have we taken our training to a whole new level, but we’ve also come away with beautiful new friendships. An unforgettable and transformative week—thank you, Devon Dogs, it was amazing!

My two-night ‘stay and train’ at Devon Dogs at East Bowerland Farm was an absolute dream come true! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The personalised training tailored to my dog’s precise needs was outstanding, offering exceptional value for money. The level of expertise, attention to detail, and ability to pick up on the smallest adjustments that will make the biggest impact truly set this experience apart. It was clear from the very beginning that I was in the hands of a team who genuinely care about delivering the best possible experience.

One of the standout aspects was the incredible communication and support before even arriving from the team. Michelle’s friendly and insightful advice, including the mechanics with the lead, was invaluable. Everything I needed to know in advance was clearly laid out in a comprehensive guest information booklet, and I even received a personalised training plan following a Zoom consultation ensuring my dog and I made the most of our time there.

Lauren, despite her busy schedule, took the time to meet me and made a lasting impression - I’m in awe of everything she does! And Lesley was simply wonderful, truly understanding what it’s like living with an ‘NBN dog’ and having a sharp eye for exactly what was needed during training.

The training days were full-on, action-packed, and incredibly rewarding, ensuring both my dog and I got the absolute most from our stay. We stayed in the Annex, a stunning open-plan studio with an enclosed garden - a perfect, peaceful retreat after a day of training. I also loved that there are different stay options (2, 3, 4, or 7 nights) to suit different budgets and schedules.

This experience exceeded every expectation, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for world-class, professional dog training, a welcoming, knowledgeable team, and an idyllic setting, Devon Dogs is the place to be.
