I like the large pictures of the meal and the instructions are easy to follow. If there is a problem with the quality of the food, I can report it and get a credit right away.

Unreliable at best

The recipes are fantastic. The deliveries are terrible and unpredictable. Boxes arrive late and there is usually at least one item missing or unusable due to spoilage or spillage. What used to be a budget solution has become a financial gamble. Incredibly disappointing.

Overall recommend!

Overall we find the recipes to be good, there have been issues with missing ingredients and packages that have broken open in transit. Recipes are easy to follow and there’s a good variety of options.

Scam payment practices requires payment…

Scam payment practices requires payment info to see Menu options Meal Plans. Despite NEVER authorizing a subscription or Payment, never even picked out a Meal Plan to wake up to a pending charge, credit card company notified me that it posted. I now have filed a Dispute against DINNERLY. Fraudulent Misleading Payment practices. SEE BBB Complaints

For the last few months most of the…

For the last few months most of the orders I get are missing ingredients. Last month I received the wrong recipe card. The prices keep going up also. It is a little frusterating.

I have not got all of my ingredients…

I have not got all of my ingredients several times, was given expired sour cream and now received the completely wrong box on Saturday.

Worst meal kit I have ever ordered

Worst meal kit I have ever ordered. All the chicken has been rotten and I reported it. The non rotten meals are tasty so I just ordered no chicken. My box showed up with 10 packages of chicken and some random meals I did not order. It was worthless to me. I threw it all away. Can’t get a refund so I got a credit card hoping for better luck with the next box. Kind of afraid to post this review, maybe I’ll get 20 packs of chicken in my next order.

The food was delayed

The food was delayed. I received unfresh food. The food wasn’t at the proper temperature and the shrimp and chicken had an odor. The veggies did not look fresh either.

Customer service is nonexistent

Customer service is nonexistent. Delivery of package failed and the best they could do was a stock letter email to check around my house and check with my neighbors, and that was two days after the reported issue. They did not respond to my emailed response which included screen shots of the delivery service’s tracking information showing the delivery was not made. No refund of undelivered package was provided.
Recorded message on contact number provided below and then line disconnected. Two previous emails to the email address provided below have gone unanswered for over a week.

We have used Dinnerly for over a year…

We have used Dinnerly for over a year and will continue to do so. The meals are a good value, there is a good variety of family-friendly and quick recipes, and the quality of ingredients has been consistent over time. There is also a lot more flexibility in portion numbers than the other 3 meal box companies we've tried. I also appreciate the wide selection of Market items that are reasonably priced.

My favorite meal delivery service

I think the food selection is great. The quality is very good and the delivery has always been quite timely. They do a pretty decent job on packaging yet, but I have had a few problems with that. When I had problems, the company made everything right.

We have really enjoyed our Dinnerly subscription! The Asian choices have replaced take out completely and we have discovered that we love chicken sausage! The flexibility to skip weeks is also a plus. Great job Dinnerly!

Quality Service

Recipes are good, consistent delivery is not

The recipes are good and simple enough to make. Sometimes we even keep the recipe and make it again! But the shipping is inconsistent and they miss an ingredient or two almost every week.

I’ve had 3 deliveries

I’ve had 3 deliveries, out of maybe 6 total, that are days late. I planned grocery trips around these deliveries and counted on these meals. One was delivered warm, this week’s never arrived. The food is good, the best of 3 other services we’ve tried, but delivery is unreliable and I will probably cancel this subscription.

Awful customer service

One of the ice packs exploded and a few ingredients were damaged because of it. I sent an email, but received ZERO follow ups. Not even a single email was sent back to me regarding this issue. The price of meals is way too high to deal with awful customer service.

The food was good, but too many problems with deliveries.

The food was good, but I had too many delivery issues -- missing deliveries, deliveries that were so late that the food was spoiled, the wrong items in the box.

Reasonable Pricing, Good Quality, Packaging Needs Upgrade

Overall, the meals are good, reasonably priced and the ingredients are of decent quality. The instructions are a bit convoluted, however. Also, for most of the summer, there have been issues with missing ingredients almost weekly. Shipping has not been great either, with boxes tossed on the porch upside down, spilled ingredients, etc. Responses to complaints have been prompt.

Boxes don’t show up

First box arrived late, second box never arrived, third box never arrived. I am now canceling this “service.” You can’t get through to customer service to talk to an actual person, you can only communicate through chat. They did say they would apply a refund. We will see if I actually get it.
