Nice young chap on phone. However, being asked why I work in a city and live in a totally different postcode as part of the ‘referral’ was very disrespectful.

Rubbish

Rubbish, tangled up in complicated legal speak, a non-understanding, a completely non human outfit, awful contact, zero contact, do not bother, I explained that I have adhd, hence slow at paperwork etc, and got no support at all, I’d rather walk than insure anything with them, and now still, they are pesting me for nearly £300 for a months insurance, bearing in mind they took £177 on the day they cancelled my policy!! All because I couldn’t give my driving license number!! As I was awaiting my new license to come back from the dvla, a complete shit show, and I’m not paying the apparent outstanding balance, as £472 for 4 weeks car insurance is a piss take

Issue getting looked into with Phone Call

I received a personal call yesterday to help resolve the situation from Michael, who seemed to care about getting my situation resolved and agreed this is completely unacceptable that im still waiting for a refund. I have been told that the refund will be done ASAP, i will wait for this.

Previous Review:
I cancelled my Policy 30/3/26 was told by email the refund will take 14 days to go back.
ITS NOW 21 days and 15 WORKING DAYS since that time and yet still to get my refund. Not impressed and i would like my money back Now as i need to pay other insurance company. Called up 21/4/26 to find out what is happening then only to be told they now will chase the finance company to see wants going on. In the Mean time i now have to wait longer now which is Utter shambles.

Competitive pricing

Competitive pricing, easy process, sales assistant provided excellent service, was knowledgeable about the product and very efficient. Whole process was smooth from start to finish.

I had a great experience with their customer service. I had a phone conversation with Gabriela to discuss policy documents. She assisted me in resolving my query. I found her to be very professional. I want to express my appreciation to her specifically.

I took out insurance with Doodlecover…

I took out insurance with Doodlecover expecting a straightforward, reliable service — what I got instead has been an absolute nightmare.

Out of nowhere, they decided to raise my policy premium due to an EU licence issue. No proper explanation, no warning — just a sudden increase that I was expected to simply accept. When I tried to contact them to discuss and negotiate the decision, the experience went from bad to worse.

I was passed around from department to department like I didn't matter, with no one willing to take ownership of my case or give me a straight answer. I spent hours on the phone waiting — hours of my time completely wasted — and to top it all off, they have still not responded or resolved the issue.

The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer care is shocking. I would strongly advise anyone considering Doodlecover to think twice. If something goes wrong, don't expect them to be there for you.

Thank you for your feedback and we’re sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration caused.

The change to your premium was due to a major change in the recorded driving test pass date which is an important rating factor to your insurer. We did email to explain this at the time but we apologise if this was not clear.

We’re also disappointed to hear about the difficulties you faced when contacting us as this is not the level of service we aim to provide.

Really great experience looking for my cover even though went up a bit when I call had to call them but Theo made it all clear to me about it and he helped helped me out massively and made it all workout great so greatly appreciate his help today
