DOMAIN EXPIRED DUE TO BUGS IN PAYMENT PROCESS - NO AVAILABLE SUPPORT

SHOCKING!
DomainsFoundry have an issue processing payments which caused auto-renewal to fail. Every single card tried fails, regardless of what is used.
As a result the domain expired and without any grace period, the domain is blocked and the DNS began to fail. For their £9.99 renewal fee we have lost 10s of thousands of £ of business because of an issue with Domain Foundary's Stripe integration, WITH NO AVAILABLE SUPPORT!

If they are not going to have 100000% reliable payments, THEY SHOULD NOT CANCEL DOMAINS WHEN THEY REACH EXPIRY WITHOUT MAKING SURE THE ISSUE ISN'T ON THEIR END!

STILL WAITING FOR SUPPORT TO RESPOND!

Sorry to hear of your frustrations. First and foremost I can see we helped you resolve your billing issues shortly after you raised a support ticket with us and your domain name was successfully renewed.

We know how important domain names, email and web hosting services are to our clients. We therefore take domain renewals and payment processing very seriously.

We have no issues processing payments our payment systems are functioning normally and are secure and PCI-DSS compliant.

Reviewing your account I can see your specific payment was declined as you have set Israel as your billing address country but you were using cards with UK billing addresses.

The address mismatch caused your payment to be declined.

We raised the incorrect country on your profile with you previously in a support ticket reply in 2023. You did not respond or change your billing details.

As part of our standard domain renewal process we sent you five email notifications prior to your domain renewal asking you to double check payment details.

Further more we sent an email notification of your payment being declined on the 15th August 2024.

We sent a further follow-up email notification of an overdue invoice 24 hours later on the 16th August 2024.

We invoice domain names 14 days prior to their expiry date to provide sufficient time for you to resolve payment issues.

In your specific case you were invoiced on the 1st August 2024. At any time from the 1st August you could have paid your domain renewal avoiding potential issues and your domain expiring.

Domain names have grace periods set by the governing registrar and vary based on the specific domain suffix you have registered.

Grace periods apply to the renewal and deletion period of expired domains only. Grace periods do not apply to changing of a domain name servers (DNS). At DomainsFoundry we provide standard, industry-wide grace periods, typically 30 days.

Unlike some other domain registrars we do not currently charge a restoration-fee for restoring domains which have just expired.

Regarding your support experience; our expert, UK-based technical support team is available 24/7.

Reviewing your DomainsFoundry account. You opened a billing ticket on Saturday Evening at 6:37 PM BST and this was actioned by our team in 1 hour. Payment was processed by us and your domain renewed at 7:38 PM.

Email notifications advising your payment had been processed and domain had been renewed were sent at this time.

A follow up response was sent at 8:37 PM on Saturday Evening from our support agent Fiona confirming your payment had been processed, your expired domain succesfully renewed and we also provided a link so you could monitor the DNS propagation in realtime.

I've arranged for your ticket to be followed up so with steps so you can update the country set on your billing details to avoid payment errors again.

I hope you'll consider updating your review to reflect your actual payment issue and the steps we undertook to help you resolve this quickly and remove the unfounded claims.

Support Staff are amazing!

Prior to signing up with DomainsFoundry, I had virtually no experience of web design or maintenance of one. Whilst I have learned a lot with the assistance of YouTube videos to create our website. Without the support and assistance of DomainsFoundry (DF) support staff, I would have floundered many, many times. Even using third-party plug ins, the Support Staff of DF have been absolutely amazing and very quick to respond to my cries for help on every occasion. To the extent of sending me useful links to increase my knowledge and not just fixings things on my behalf; which I really like as I want to learn more about this side of IT.

I cannot thank DomainsFoundry enough. Not only for the support they have provided me with so far, but the ease of increasing our package from the initial start up to ease of billing and the whole experience. I would recommend DomainsFoundry to anyone looking to create and run websites without any hassle.

They saved my sanity.

My business website hosting closed down, taking my email with it. My domain is held at DomainsFoundry.
After spending hours figuring out how to see my business emails as fast as possible and not lose too much business, I opened a support ticket. I wished I'd done that at the beginning because they were marvellous. They did it for me. They changed the DNS records and got my email up and running. Yep! Great service. I was a complete newbie to domain names…

I was a complete newbie to domain names and web hosting so I spent a fair amount of time researching the options and reading reviews. I wasn't particularly impressed with what I saw and kept on looking until I found Domains Foundry.
I immediately liked their ethos and the fact that they were UK based and their prices were reasonable too.
Having now registered several domains through them plus used them for email hosting, I have found their admin panel to be clear and easy to understand even for a non-techie like me and their support has been prompt and helpful on the few occasions that I have needed it.
I can honestly say that I would recommend their service to anyone who is looking for a viable alternative to the big names that seem to dominate the industry.
