Complete lack of response to multiple enquiries
(Hammersmith & Shepherd's Bush Branch)
Over a number of months, I attempted to enquire about a property that I wanted to view. I called, but the phone was never answered. I left messages, which were never responded to. I made enquiries via email and via Rightmove, again with no response. The only contact I ever received from anyone in this company was someone contacting me about arranging a valuation of my own property (which I hadn't asked for). They couldn't explain why I never received any correspondence about the property I enquired about. I've still not had an answer about it. The property is still being advertised online.
I would definitely not market a property with this company since I cannot see that they have any interest in actually showing properties to serious buyers. The complete lack of response is really very concerning, since even if the property is unavailable I would have expected them to let me know - and consider any other properties they might be able to show to me.
Extremely poor service, I have never experienced anything like this before.
Edit 17/05/26: The property is still online with no indication of being unavailable. In addition, I contacted the email as requested in the reply to my review and never received any response.

Flat Purchase
Throughout the process of buying our flat Rob Stanley was a huge support. His professionalism, helpfulness and extensive knowledge was outstanding.
As first time buyers, Rob helped make the process as stress-free as possible, was on-hand to answer questions, and was always willing to show us the property. He also managed the relationship with the sellers effectively ensuring a smooth process.

I sold my property with Chris and couldn’t recommend him more highly. Property sales are stressful at the best of times, but this one was particularly challenging due to a very poor solicitor on one side of the transaction, which significantly affected the speed of the process.
Despite this, Chris was excellent at keeping us updated throughout, and we always felt he put in every effort to keep things moving. He also maintained clear and balanced communication between both buyer and seller, which made a real difference.
We’re very grateful for everything Chris did to get the sale over the line.

A different class......
What a fantastic experience selling my house in Balham with Douglas and Gordon. Tom Yeomanson is a true professional. He knows the local market very well, provides invaluable advice, is pragmatic and shepherds the process from start to finish in a very delicate and sensitive manner. I had previously tried to sell the house using two other local agents - both times it failed. What was different? Amongst many other reasons Tom takes full responsibility and manages the sale himself rather than passing it off to a more junior member of the team (which is what happened with the others). He takes personal pride and commits himself fully. I couldn't recommend Tom and D&G highly enough.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS AGENCY!!
Our experience with this agency was nothing short of CATASTROPHIC. The flat we rented was full of cockroaches when my friend and I, both students, tried to move in. Not only weren't we offered another place to stay (despite the cockroach treatment taking several weeks to be put in place), but we weren't even offered to be compensated for all the additional fees this cost us (hotel, taxi, etc.). We had, in the midst of our studies, to spend weeks worrying about finding a new place to live, all while fighting to get our money back. In the end, we were still charged almost 2 months of rent despite not having spent a single day in this flat. This experience was incredibly stressful from start to finish (the agent handling our flat was based in SOUTH AFRICA the whole time), with all D&G agents we encountered being incredibly useless, incompetent and insensitive. Do not recommend!!
