DPB Plumbing and Heating Engineers Ltd Avis 

So good to find such a well organised company. We had a new boiler fitted and the process from initial fault diagnosis of the old boiler through to the fitting of the new one was seamless. Danny and Sean were excellent - knowledgeable, polite and informative. They arrived on time and kept us “in the loop” from start to finish. The standard of workmanship is excellent. As newcomers to the Scarborough area, we took a punt on using DPB, but they were definitely the right choice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Our full bathroom conversion, was completed on time & the end result is 1st class. I can recommend DPB Plumbing without hesitation. The lead bathroom man Rob is a 1st class tradesman, the guys assisting him are great too. All are very profession while working & very pleasant too. All left clean & tidy after every days days work too.
The bathroom was fully stripped back to brick, redundant pipework etc removed & insulated & boarded etc as well as a new ceiling, all walls fully tiled etc. New lighting & extractor fitted & lovely walk in shower, wash basin etc, plus separate loo. All went as planned & is working perfectly.
You get what you pay for, no doubt there could be some slightly cheaper options, but the 1st class work is certainly worth paying for.

Comany endorsed by checkatrade and trustatrader with excellent reviews. Big job involving new boiler, additional rads and overhauling existing ones plus other plumbing work. Had to be done at short notice and not straightforward. DPB had the capacity and expertise to take it on whilst other companies declined. Job was done within the required time frame and I am amazed at what 3 guys in 3 days can achieve. Very happy with the work and would highly recommend Dan and his team

DPB have serviced my boiler in the past and i've always been impressed with their punctuality, service levels and workmanship, so when i bought a house which needed a full central heating system they were the only choice for me. As always they arrived bang on time on the start date and finished on time 5 days later. I popped in to check on progress every day which was never an issue to them, the lads were always polite and helpful when i asked questions.
Danny Birley the owner has got it absolutely right with his business, great plumbers backed up by a brilliant team of ladies in the office. I would, and do, highly recommend them to everyone.

great service, excellent fitter , emailed for a quote to have a radiator fitted, on 14/8/23 got a reply same day, I was happy with the quote and got the radiator fitted 15/8/23, what more could you ask for

Rob and Alfie did an excellent job fitting a shower and new bathroom flooring. They arrived promptly each day, never left a mess, and finished the job earlier than expected. They are both friendly and helpful, and I’d be happy to have them back again if we need other work doing. Lou is also brilliant on the phone - always a pleasure to talk to her.

Dan and workmate arrived as promised. The jobs carried out were first class. A new stopcock and new seals were fitted on the shower. Very happy with the work completed. Would highly recommend DPB Plumbing.

Great to work with and always pleasure to deal with I would definitely recommend from a working relationship perspective.

We have had good service from this company in the past servicing our boiler for £80. However, it is worth pointing out that they offer a priority response and not emergency cover when there are issues. We had a frozen boiler and were pleased that even after 8 pm we could speak to someone about it. We were told someone would get back to us - and they did, at 7.15 am the following morning. We had told the person on the phone the previous evening that there was a poorly person in the house ( and it was well below freezing outside). However, the guy who phoned in the morning was abrupt and told us that they don't offer emergency response cover; so if that is what you want, this company is not for you. However, when they did come, the engineer 'fixed' the problem within ten minutes, for £96 (we did not have a cover plan). The same issue arose that evening and once again we phoned. DPB responded and sent another guy to fix the problem. This time they did not charge.

Call out at the end of the day to our boiler as it had frozen in the cold weather, the office staff were helpful and friendly especially as we have young children in the house. An engineer arrived within 30 minutes and the boiler back working within the hour! Friendly, helpful and efficient engineer! Thanks very much!

DPB have just replaced our bathroom. The quality of workmanship is excellent and the engineer worked in a clean and tidy manner and always arrived at the time stated. Both office staff and engineers were extremely helpful and courteous and kept us up-to-date at every stage of the process.

We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Gas fitter and electrician.

The office and in the main, I had no issue with. Always polite, informative of times, booking in, etc. perfect.

The gas fitter came fairly punctually, did the job well and left. There was a little bit of inconvenience with the disposal of the old gas cooker, as he had told me he'd arranged someone to pick it up but it sat there for 3 days until in the end I had to pay for it to be taken away.

Still not a huge issue.

The problem I had was with the electrician. I won't name him here but I do know it, as two came to do the job.

Firstly, he/they didn't turn up at all on the day booked. Not a word or a text to say why, despite my having to put the whole day on hold.

When he came on the next day booked, he was openly hostile from the second I opened the door. Overly defensive, no apology.
Any question I asked was met with a thinly veiled scorn I have never witnessed in all my years as a paying customer. He didn't like it when I asked him to set up my cooker either, despite it being part of the job.
I might use the firm in the future (might) but NEVER send me that person again.

1. Dan was not on time, he was a bit late but it wasn't an issue.
2. I never said the disposal of the cooker was included in the contract. Dan said he would dispose of it, via his contact.
I did inform you he hadn't been to pick up the cooker and then 3 days later, did it myself - why so defensive? Why are you making this an issue where there wasn't one.
As for your electrician, it wasn't the fact that he didn't show, it was his hostility and attitude when he did.

"I was let down by another plumber who didn't turn up when they said they would. My new kitchen is being delivered the next day and I was panicking. I saw a post about DPB Plumbing & Heating on Facebook - All things Scarborough page. I rang them and spoke to Louise, a lovely lady, really helpful. I explained my situation and she arranged for Alfie to come and complete the work the same day. Alfie came on time, really polite and professional. He did an excellent job for a reasonable price and I couldn't be happier with both the first and second fix. I would definitely recommend. In fact I'd say don't bother looking elsewhere just go straight to DPB for a reliable, friendly and professional service."
