I'll edit my original post. I found my practice listed on your website, with a $9 "concierge" fee for a patient to schedule an appointment. I have never asked you to list my practice. I do not accept patients through ANY referral service. So, I connected over your chat feature posing as a patient looking to schedule. The person chatting with me was clearly using a translator. They did their best to get me to agree to the $9 fee, saying Dr. Lipman was a very well respected doctor. When I asked if Dr. Lipman's practice accepted insurance, or had availability, I was told that I needed to pay the fee in order to find out any information about the practice.

We are a global online consultation platform that freely promotes healthcare providers and helps patients connect with them. We refer patients directly to doctors at no cost. Patients pay the consultation fee directly to the clinic or via their preferred method.
The $9 mentioned on our platform is clearly labeled as a concierge fee, which covers the assistance we provide to patients in locating the right doctor and helping with appointment coordination. This fee is only collected after the patient agrees to it, and many choose this option for the added convenience.
Our intention is never to mislead or misrepresent, we aim to simplify the process for both patients and providers by bridging the gap in access. As per your request, we have now removed your profile from our platform.

This platform’s customer service is honestly disgusting. I did a ton of research and finally found a doctor I really trusted. The site said I could book an appointment for today or tomorrow and it even let me choose the preferred time for today, so I paid the $9 to book. Then the customer service tells me the doctor actually has a 6-8 week—or maybe even 6-8 month—waiting time, and they want to switch me to some other doctor. I said no, I don’t agree. But they still wouldn’t refund my $9.
I told them, you only told me the doctor wasn’t available after I paid—that’s not fair to me.
Plus, I could barely understand the customer service guy’s English, and he kept coughing the whole time. I honestly felt like telling him to go book an appointment himself and get that cough checked out. Wouldn’t be surprised if he can’t even find a decent doctor on this crappy platform either. If anyone from your site’s management sees this, keep the $9—I’ll consider it a donation to that guy so he can go see a doctor. Hope he actually uses it to get checked out!

Asked to be seen due to horrible pain…
Asked to be seen due to horrible pain and spasms due to herniated disc and in acute pain while traveling and being re injured here in Albania. Was met with useless prescriptions. No help whatsoever. Being told to take meds completely unrelated to my condition like antibiotics and nasal sprays for sinus problems??? This practice took $45 to run me in circles of nonsensical care for over 2 hours. One of the worst medical experiences I have ever had in my life. I even provided paperwork of my diagnosis of the herniation. They told me to take herbs! I cannot warn you enough to stay away from this practice that will take your money and offer nothing that you cannot get yourself over the counter in a pharmacy. They refuse to refund me. Promised a doctor visit to help and then bailed on that idea. It was a measure of unprofessionalism and frustration that left me in tears in an already fatigued and painful state of being. I’m disgusted and deeply regret wasting my money and hours of my time. Not to mention the worsening of my mental state while seeking relief and being met with this joke of a substitute for help.

We would like to clarify that during your consultation, controlled medications were requested. However, as per Albania’s medical regulations, and for safety and legal reasons, our doctors are not permitted to prescribe controlled substances beyond what is allowed locally. This is not a matter of unwillingness, but strict regulatory compliance.
Also, please note that the fee charged was $35, not $45. Our team dedicated extra time to assist you and followed up with care.
We understand your frustration, but the doctor’s decisions were based on your condition and what could legally be prescribed. If you need further help within these guidelines, we’re here for you.

The support team was very helpful in connecting me with the correct doctor for the correct need. She walked me through the entire process, waited until I had completed everything before leaving, was thorough, knew her job incredibly well, and was professional, understanding and kind. Annie did an amazing job and chose a doctor who she communicated the concerns to and was prompt in his help.

A comforting experience
Dr Prunell was empathetic and professional. He treated my ailments with respect and without judgment, qualities difficult to find in a doctor (especially abroad).
