No original packaging and poorly packaged.....previous use /returned item?
I received my delivery of Makita hammer driver drill, two batteries, charger, Makita box and drill/driver set today.
I took posssion of all in a sealed cardboard transit box.
Upon opening the box I found the drill, batteries and charger loose in the Makita box with no padding, which would have prevented movement in transit.
The components were deliberately not located in the moulding so that the two batteries would fit. There were scratches and greasy marks on the charger and marks and dirt on the drill/driver.
There was no guarantee documentation included.
Neither was there padding between the Makita items and the outer box, which was oversized, thus not preventing further movement.
If I buy such items new, at not inconsiderable cost, I expect them to arrive correctly packaged with all documentation in their original boxes and for them to be appropriately packaged for transit.
This is just not good enough as I have no assurance that this is a genuine Makita items or has not previously been used or returned.
I will be returning the items for a full refund as they are not of satisfactory quality as per the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Item was not brand new
Item was not brand new. Looked to be either a refurbished or second hand returns item not a factory fresh new item you would expect. Box was not for this model, no instructions, no proper packaging. Just all thrown into a spare box they could find.Put in a complaint but still have not received a satisfactory solution. Will now put in the hands of the credit card company.

Seemingly very poor customer service when things go wrong
Item was released by DVS to DPD for delivery, i was told by the DPD driver that he had left the items at the depot by accident but they would be collected and delivered on someone elses delivery round that day. This didn't happen and the tracking on the item dropped off 24 hours later. Whilst that wasn't DVS’s fault, the communication from them has been almost zero and DPD will only deal with the sender. Its been 2 weeks and i still haven't got a replacement or a refund.
