I'm a doctor who has a micro company. I have filed the tax online directly into HMRC/Companies House via CATO for the last few years. I was worried that this year would be complex as now I need to submit via a “software". To my surprise, this made the process easier. Easy Digital Filing has a simple user-friendly website. I already paid for next year’s filing. 💚

It is easy to use
Easy to use once you have your Profit and Loss account. For a small company it removes the need for an accountant. Now used it for several years.

Really helpful site for a first-timer

Gets the job done
Have been using these guys for the last few years to file our end of year corporation tax return for our property business. Easy to use, and also enables filing to Companies House for the accounts at the same time which is really useful. I had to use their chat support this year, quick response with a screen snip on what I needed to do. I don't think they have changed their prices since I started, which is good too. All in all 10/10.

I found out that the online service…
I found out that the online service that I normally use to complete our company tax return had been taken down and frantically looked around for an alternative. I tried a couple of other websites from the approved list before I found easy digital filing and found this one to be the best. It was a bit more expensive than the others, but felt it was worth it as we were able to phone and speak to someone. Everything was submitted with acceptances back from HMRC and Companies House. Will use again next year.

Are the pile of passwords etc really necessary? These are huge barriers to entry. I almost gave up! I understand the need for security, but surely this could be streamlined??

Hi Emily, Thank you for taking the time for giving us a review. Unfortunately, yes the number of user details and passwords are required. We only require you to have a password for your account, however, HMRC require you to enter your UTR (tax reference for your company), government gateway userID and password.
These are HMRC's requirements and something all software providers must comply with. These details ensure that HMRC know which company is submitting the return and also gives security ensuring only the Company's officers or representative can submit the tax return.
