Fantastic Starting Point when creating your business

Fantastic Starting Point when creating a company. Anna Money helped with all the Company Setup ACN and ABN numbers along with a Business account that were all setup within 24 hours over a holiday weekend. The app and chat support are simple to use and have the features to get your business/company up and running. One of their accountants also setup an introductory call with them to run through their systems, support and app. Along with this they offered the cash back incentive and already have deposited the cashback on my first transaction, so setting up a company only cost me $305 AUD. Within the Anna system they have comprehensive invoicing and quoting systems along with transactions linked to your Anna Business account along with any other business accounts. It's only been 3 weeks but I highly recommend Anna Money to get your company/business launched.

Misleading “legal docs included” – no documents provided

I used annamoney.au for company registration based on their claim:
“ACN, legal docs, compliance all done for you.”

At this point, I have not been provided with any legal documents at all. I have been advised that the Certificate of Registration will be sent by post directly from ASIC, but nothing has been provided digitally by annamoney.au themselves.

When I requested the “legal documents” referenced on their website, I was repeatedly redirected to ASIC or external sources instead of being provided with anything as part of the service.

To be clear, “legal docs” would reasonably include a company constitution, share certificates, and company registers. None of these have been supplied.

If the service is limited to lodging the ASIC registration, that should be stated clearly. Advertising “legal docs included” creates a different expectation.

I would strongly recommend clarifying exactly what is included before purchasing, as the current wording is misleading.

Absolutely No Nonsense Admin – Completely Misleading

I opened an account with ANNA because of their “Absolutely No Nonsense Admin” slogan. In reality, it’s the complete opposite.

My account was suspended on 6 March with over £8,000 of my own money blocked. No warning, no proper explanation, and no one ever actually asked me for any documents or information.

I understand that banks have the right to carry out checks and even freeze accounts when needed. That’s not the issue. The problem is how it’s handled. In my case, it feels like a complete abuse of that power.

I explained everything myself through their chat, but it made no difference. My funds stayed frozen, incoming payments were rejected, and I couldn’t access money I needed to run my business and pay off my credit cards.

All I got were copy-paste replies and delays. They even told me I’d get an update by 8 April, didn’t send anything, and only replied after I chased them. Then suddenly they start referring to “35 working days” as if that justifies everything.

It’s actually very simple — they either open the account again or close it and return my money. Instead, they just keep everything blocked with no clear direction and abusing their powers.

For a company that says “Absolutely No Nonsense Admin”, this has been nothing but nonsense.

If you rely on your money to operate your business, think very carefully before using them.

Very dissapointed

Update4: added a star for customer service, even though I would never reccomend this banking to anyone they are quick to respond but they don't have any information related to the complaint status and they kept sayin that they dont know liv8ng me hanging on the phone over night in waiting for they're compliance team to keep asking for proofs.

Because of it been seriously affected with my health as I suffer from Fibromyalgia amd even started smoking again...

They even investigated the works I had on my website and asked for proof of works and contracts and invoices etc which totally unacceptable and never I heard of anything like this until now.

I got through many bussiness accounts so I know what a bank should be like and this is way over board abusing they're power !

A bank shouldnt block an account just for a suspicion, I provided all the requested information accuretaly immediately as they were asking for it and still had to wait 24 hours which led to severe financial and reputational loss.

Update3: they replied that they will get back to me in 3 days!!!! Wow!!!

Update2:unnaceptable! After 5 hours still waiting! I got pictures to prove it but cant upload them here ...

Please everyone read what they answer in what they replied! I screenshot it.
Shooting yourself in the leg before you can walk is not the way to do bussiness!!

Telling me about your rules dont help in anyone! Why Tide and Barclays dont have these rules and all working just fine??? Are you above Barclays to ask for so many documents or what??

Updated: even worse!! They make demands and request on how to use MY MONEY, they want invoices and receipts? Who are they to ask that of me? My money that I earned fair and square locked by Anna??? Shouldve realised something suspicious with them.

DO NOT USE THEM unless you like your money blocked and wasting hours of ur time with customer service to be able to use the account !

Super Very dissapointed, already opening a different bank account, dont use this guys if you need to make fast payments! You need to contact they're team and waste hours for every transaction, already second transaction and again time lost as they declining my transfers.

My money and I cant use them as I should? Who are they to decide? Ok, there are more serios online banks there.

Got ather bussinesses with Barclays and Tide and never had this sort of issues. Better stick with high street banks if reliability is a must which in my case it is!

Do not use this company! Avoid at all costs. Missing payments, declined direct debits and no reason given after a week.
No one to talk to directly only an online chat with the standard message ‘we will get back to you asap’ and they never do.
