I'd like to say a huge thank you to both Mark and Ian for their superb knowledge share when providing training for the BS 7671 - 18th Edition. Their teaching style of critical thinking was a really great way to learn about a very in-depth and detailed safety standard. They are also just really lovely people who made learning a pleasure. I'd also like to say thank you to Jax, who was really helpful with all the admin side of things. The training centre is easy to get to, easy to park and very well equipped. The support given to help me build up my knowledge and result in a pass of the assessment was invaluable. Would happily complete another course at ECTA.

The course went smooth, all questions I had was clearly answered, all potential difficulties was explained. Very hepful and patient tutors. I had no problems at all with passing the exam.

Was a fantastic experience with ECTA and especially with our Tutor Mark who helped us massively whilst studying for our 18th edition exam.

I completed a Solar PV and Battery Storage course at ECTA .I would like to share my honest experience with fellow electricians considering this course.

If you are looking for proper training and in-depth knowledge, this course may not meet your expectations. It seems more focused on issuing certificates rather than providing practical learning. However, if you already have hands-on experience in Solar PV and Battery Storage and just need a certificate for compliance purposes, then ECTA may be a suitable option.

During my training, I found that the instructor did not engage in detailed technical discussions. Whenever students asked questions, the common response was: "Don’t worry notes or books—on-site software does everything." This approach is not ideal for electricians who genuinely want to enhance their skills and understand the technical aspects. Of course,

this is just my experience in my specific class—other instructors at ECTA may be more knowledgeable and professional.

On a positive note, ECTA as a training center is well-equipped. The classrooms and workshops are excellent, and the administrative staff are very helpful. It has the potential to be a great place for learning—but only if all instructors are truly professional and committed to teaching.

I am writing this review not to discourage anyone but to inform future trainees and encourage ECTA to maintain high standards.My hope is that ECTA identifies and addresses any shortcomings, ensuring all instructors meet the expected professional standards.

As a gesture of goodwill, I have given ECTA a 5-star rating, acknowledging its facilities and staff support, while hoping for improvements in the quality of instruction.

I have used ECTA Training for many years and have always had a great experience. Just completed my Level 3 18th Edition course which was delivered by Mark Jarman who made what could have been a sterile 4 days into a very enjoyable experience - thanks Mark.
The whole team at ECTA go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The trainers are knowledgeable, very experienced and make sure that everyone is included and that the course is paced in such a way that nobody is left behind regardless of experience or age. All things being equal a very friendly and professional training centre.

Since I came in, they’ve made me so comfortable and learn more practical and in depth understanding about electrical installations.

Well presented course. All the staff were very helpful right from first entering the building. Enjoyed every minute.

My experience at ECTA was outstanding. My tutor was Ian Beresfed and he was a very good teacher. Very helpful and explained everything well. To the students who didn’t know much, he helped them a lot which I had noticed. So to anyone considering doing their electrical training over at ECTA, I’d definitely recommend!

Would highly recommend ECTA as a training academy. Completed a EUSR certification course in dual fuel smart metering. Great course content delivered in an exemplary manor. Mark and Hannah teach in a relaxed but informative and professional manner. Would highly recommend.
