I bought $800 of seeds for a meadow that has grown gorgeous plants from seeds sold by other companies in the past but this year, after planting Eden brothers seeds, no flowers grew. Initially, the company offered only a discount toward future orders but pressed a bit, they relented and issued a full refund. Stuff happens and how a company responds to failures says a lot about it. Eden made good on its guaranty and though I am very disappointed by this flower debacle, Eden proved itself to be a company that stood behind its product.
They took my order, which was a gift for a client, took my money and never responded to emailed messages in a timely fashion when asked where my order was andwhen was it shipped. They said they shipped my order but it never was becasue tracking showed it never left fulfillment center. They refused to return my money as well. I have contacted consumer fraud division of my state to help me receive money back. I wouldn’t trust this company ever again. First experience was great, this year(2024) terrible. Very upset!

Flower Farmer and Experienced Gardener:
I ordered a large amount of specialty double tulips. I opened the box with an overwhelming smell of MOLD and rot. I planted them anyway because they had nothing left in stock .
Spring 2024: The tulips were so small, and had no stems at all.
I had the unfortunate and ridiculous emails passed with REUEL. I swear he did not even read my full emails. I sent in pictures as requested to show the embarrassment. Out of a 360.00 order he gave me 37.50. Back and forth for 3 days. Every time it was something different . Horrible experience.
I had a Dahlia order for 275.00 in as well, and cancelled this after I received my refund. Now I am DREADING seeing what the 500.00 in seeds will do this summer. I cant go through this encounter again. I will NEVER buy from them again. Johnny Seeds is so much better, and better quality.
Don't bother purchasing from them . You will regret it .
I ordered 20 Lily of the Valley shoots from Eden. They were on sale for half price, so that was good. The problem is that after 6 weeks, only 6 or the 20 have emerged, and that was as of two weeks ago. I don't think any more are coming out. That is not a good percentage.
I bought the same bulbs I bought last year, and this year, they are horrible. Last year's bulbs were of higher quality, but these are so poor that I doubt they will bloom. One of them doesn't even have a bulb just a stick. I will now never purchase from them again as these were expensive bulbs.
Hello, I am reaching out to share a serious concern that significantly impacts the environment. This last summer I ordered 2 packets of Eden's Pacific Northwest Wildflower Seed Mix. Given the title, I thought these wildflowers were native to the Pacific Northwest region. But I later learned that many seeds were not native, so I decided to wait to sow the seeds. Coming into Spring, I reconsidered using the packets. However, upon research of the various seeds inside the PNW Wildflower Seed Mix, I learned that many in the packet are invasive species, and are listed in the Invasive Plant Atlas of the United States. Same for the State of WA. Some examples are: Baby's Breath, 2 kinds of Cornflower, Foxglove, Lance Leaf Coreopsis, 2 kinds of Cosmos.
Invasive species have contributed to the decline of 42% of U.S. endangered and threatened species, and for 18% of U.S. endangered or threatened species, invasives are the main cause of their decline. Invasive species compete directly with native species for moisture, sunlight, nutrients, and space. Overall plant diversity can be decreased. Establishment and spread of invasive species can also degrade wildlife habitat. Other issues are degraded water quality, and increased soil erosion. These impacts change nature's balance on which all species depend.
Therefore, I called Eden again to see if I could get a refund or exchange, and to inquire as to why they would contribute to such a huge problem in relation to environmental health. I was told they could not give me a refund or exchange because it had been past 15 days. This is on me, I should have researched more fully sooner, but I made the mistake of trusting such a large company. But the important issue and concern at hand is given how large of an impact Eden is having, and the negative consequences of their practices and standards. When I asked if they would reconsider offering such invasive, non-native species for the PWN blend, they said they didn't need to because they just need to follow the "industry standard". The representative on the phone did not seem to care that they had invasive species in their mix, so I simply asked if he could pass along my concern of them promoting invasive and non-native species for specific regions. This feels very unethical and out of integrity for the significant issues at hand with climate change and biodiversity loss. Just because something is an "industry standard" does not make it ethical or right, and seems like an excuse to avoid responsibility. Money should not be a final deciding factor of how and why we do business if harm is occuring due to current practices in an industry. Yes, some flowers may be more popular and beautiful than others, but as humans we have a deeper responsibility to be stewards for a healthy planet, people, and wildlife. We are barely scratching the surface with our understanding of the consequences of our actions and the impacts on ecosystems, the planet and people. I share this simply to bring awareness, and to encourage supporting organizations that care to do the right thing, and sell local, native, organic healthy seeds and plants.
I placed a large order of speciality ranunculus, nurtured them through the winter and planted them out for early spring flowers. Let me tell you my utter disappointment when every single "specialty" corm I paid a higher price for came out bright pink and white. None of the "romantic bridal mix" like I ordered.
I would love to give Eden Brother’s a -100 if it was possible. They have the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! I will NEVER EVER shop here EVER again and warn anyone who wants to buy from them!!! Buyers BEWARE!!!
Master Gardner here and flower farm owner I am obsessed with Zinnias and tried their seeds
among others and theirs are the only ones that didn't germinate. Not sure why but the other seeds I got from other companies are doing amazing!
I bought the Royal Velvet Amaryllis from Eden Brothers. From one bulb, I had 4 amazing inforescences. The flowers were blooming before Christmas and the last stalk (#4) is in full bloom now! It is magnificent. This was the first bulb that I ever bought that was so prolific.
Only 1 of 9 seed types produced blooms even close to claimed color and appearance. The zinnias were pitiful puny blooms with awful, absolutely incorrect coloring as claimed.
I ordered a variety of veggie and herb seeds this spring and had a great success rate with my starts. I would absolutely order from then again. My seeds arrived quickly and everything was well labeled.
I bought Forget-Me-Not seeds that they specifically advertised as Myosotis alpestris. When they bloomed, they were all the much weedier, less enjoyable Myosotis arvensis.
That, I could live with. I pulled them all up before they could go to seed, I’ll get seeds elsewhere for next year—disappointing, but it happens.
However, they have suppressed my review setting out my experience, instead emailing me to offer store credit. I don’t care about the money; I care that they’re claiming to be selling one species but actually providing a much lesser one, and hiding that fact. Unfortunately, I think this suggests they have no intention of selling the correct species, and don’t want anyone to know they have it wrong.
This company is a joke. I pre-ordered (1) Jumbo Black Diamond Elephant Ear Bulb on 12/18/22 and paid $30.19 with free shipping.
This company sends me multiple nonsense coupons everyday but failed to send me a shipping confirmation as promised.
I don’t walk well so I don’t check the mailbox everyday. The bulb was delivered a day ago.
It has been sitting outside in freezing temperatures and is now DEAD.
What’s worse is that it should be approximately 7” - 9” in Circumference. This bulb is just over 2 1/8” from one end to the other.
This what I get after this company holds on to my money for (4) months with free shipping.
Last year I tried ordering the same bulb and they sent me a standard green bulb instead.
After 2 years….I have yet to get what I paid for and ordered. This company posts pictures of the approximate bulb size which is about the size of baseballs.
I am not asking for perfection but close should count. The bulb that they sent me is light years away in size.
This is an absolute INSULT !!! I am done with Eden Brothers.
It’s too bad that Trust Pilot does not offer pictures. You would have a heart attack if you saw what I received.
If they put as much effort into getting stock out as they do advertising, things would run much smoother. Their customer service is always canned BS replies until you go back and forth a couple times. Well over half of my orders have been cancelled because they sold me things they couldn't get.
I was told recently told that the bulbs I was ordering were currently shipping to my zone. It's been about 2 weeks and they haven't shipped. My guess is I'll get an email telling me they don't have those either like they did with all the caladiums. It's spring and I have nearly nothing to plant because of them.
To their credit, the black iris and tiger lily's did pretty good. Unfortunately that 2 of about a dozen bulbs that I bought that they could actually send.
I've been buying seeds for the last 5 yrs. I love wildflowers and had no problem until this spring when I noticed a plant (found out it was primrose later) that took over half an area and popped up all over my yard. I notified them that they should notify people of the invasive nature of some of thir seeds mixed into a package of 25 different seeds...their answer you should be aware that they notify you that maybe invasive; which ones? That's up to you to researchers one before purchase. An appropriate response would be "we'll make more efforts to identify or remove highly invasive seeds. FLIPPIT ANSWER = NO MORE PURCHASES
I purchased 10 bulbs from Eden Brothers. The bulbs were delivered in January in the middle of winter. I just went to plant them and three of the 10 bulbs were bad. I reached out and asked for a credit or a refund and they told me because I didn’t plant them within a month that that was their only guarantee. Pretty lame given that you don’t really plant bulbs in the middle of winter. Pretty bad customer service. And a failure rate of 30%. Won’t be buying from them again.
Eden Brothers have high quality seeds, bulbs and fertilizer. My garden has bloomed in brilliant colors. Their gardening 101 class is awesome with great tips and procedures and easy to understand for a brown thumb like me. My final chance at gardening made me a winner as far as making my flower garden amazing. Thanks Eden Brothers. Also, when I didn’t receive my order, they quickly send a replacement. Eden Brothers you have exemplary on line service, I will continue to use and recommend to all of my gardener friends.
PS…A small suggestion, when giving codes for % off or coupons, add it to your check out page. Have a spot for codes given for the day. I had a difficult time cut and pasting codes from home page to checkout page. Then I forgot my 20% on my next order coupon. I do not think it is fare to have free shipping but are unable to use it when the final tally is given. Please redesign your page to include your percentages off and free shipping. I think you will find more customers will enjoy the simplicity of your site. Thanks Donna
All I can say is, WOW! To attract pollinators, this Master Gardener ordered the Florida wildflower seed mix to plant in the Apopka Community garden. Just sprinkled them across the planting bed and patted the soil, irrigated daily and an explosion happened! We have an absolute riot of blooms about 5 weeks later and continuing. Such a variety! They are the highlight of our one acre garden with 78 beds!
Professional gardener here- client ordered 100 copper image tulip bulbs. They were the smallest tulip bulbs I have ever seen. Obviously not top size .not sure how they will do- will never have bulbs ordered from this company again.
