Worse company EVER
I was repeatedly contacted by Money Ladder regarding their debt consolidation services. After multiple calls, I finally answered and spoke with a representative named Bettina, who was polite and informed me that I could cancel at any time for a full refund if I chose not to move forward.
After giving it some thought, I decided not to proceed. I called back within a few days to cancel and was told that my cancellation was successful and that I would be receiving a refund. However, no one mentioned that there was any additional form or action required on my part.
On April 27, 2026, I called to check the status of my refund and was then told—for the first time—that a form had been sent to me and that they were waiting on it. This was never previously communicated.
I asked to speak with a manager, and the experience only got worse. The manager was extremely rude, repeatedly interrupted me, and became increasingly hostile when I calmly asked not to be cut off. She raised her voice, spoke in an unprofessional manner, and even stated that she “didn’t have to help me at all,” implying that my refund was not guaranteed.
When I informed her that I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, she dismissively responded, “be my guest.”
At that point, I ended the call and contacted my bank to dispute the charge.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with Money Ladder and Elevate. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and unprofessional customer service are unacceptable.
