Be suspicious, think twice
I am surprised to see only one review for this merchant, given my experience, which raises serious concerns.
On 8 December, I ordered a shampoo advertised on YouTube as supporting hair growth, with a strong promise of a money-back guarantee if results were not achieved. I paid $19.98 for two 100 ml bottles plus $4.99 shipping. The bottles arrived quickly.
Shortly after, I noticed an unexpected $44.93 charge on my bank account under the name SpMySmile. After checking my statements and emails, I discovered this was linked to the same company and related to a weekly subscription that I had not clearly agreed to or noticed at checkout.
I then tried to manage or cancel the subscription. According to the website’s Terms & Conditions, there should be a way to manage the account, but I could not find any “Manage my account” option. The only way to stop it appeared to be writing to customer support. I sent an email on 29 December, shortly before another scheduled charge.
The company states it has a Return and Refund policy, but return shipping is at the customer’s expense, and given the lack of transparency so far, I am unsure how reliably this will be handled.
Additionally, Trustpilot lists the company as in Colombia, while the website shows a U.S. address, further adding to the confusion.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise international customers to be very cautious, read the fine print carefully, and watch their bank statements closely for unexpected subscription charges.
