Energize Africa is a fantastic way of supporting people in a sustainable way. I started with a relatively small investment and just keep reinvesting the interest and principal amount. I am not doing this to make money , I am doing this to support people in the poorest countries in the world because I can.

Every organisation listed on Energise Africa undergoes a rigorous due diligence process, reviewed by our team and an independent committee, to ensure offers are fair, clear and not misleading. That said, we're always transparent that investing in early-stage businesses in developing countries carries inherent risk, and external factors such as the pandemic, inflation and currency fluctuations have unfortunately affected some issuers.
We take this seriously and are continually strengthening how we protect investors from risk. Recently, we've introduced a new results-based finance product, designed to de-risk investments while retaining strong social impact. When issuers do face difficulties, our team works hard to support recovery and keep investors updated.
To date, our issuers have collectively repaid over £30 million in capital and interest, and our investors have helped more than 1 million people gain access to clean and reliable electricity.

Energise Africa consistently perform well
Energise Africa have consistently performed well, having used them to invest since 2018. Their online platform, their management of these emerging market bonds, and their comms when things don't work out with the investee, have all been consistently good.

Energise Africa enables small or larger investors to invest money in African projects to provide solar energy to small villages and businesses. Most African villages have no energy sources. This is an alternative to just making donations to charities. Hopefully the investments will bring in some income and not be lost.

Investing in greening Africa
A good way to invest in sustainable enterprises in Africa and Asia via a stocks and shares ISA. Processes are a bit clunky sometimes and you're expected to reinvest in more good opportunities rather than extract your money, but the rates are good and you feel you've done a little bit of good in a world torn apart by fossil-fueled psychopaths.

Very easy to invest in projects that do good
Very easy to invest in projects that do good in Africa and help the climate, within a tax-free IFISA. The platform makes keeping track of all one's investments very easy. Obviously with this type of investment, there are risks that companies may default, which is why spreading one's capital across a range of investments within the platform makes sense. There are no charges. Just do not expect to be able to get at the money earlier than the specified repayment dates.
