When asking for bank details there is no box for the actual bank name, only the BSB. I could not find where, after signing the return, I could print a paper copy of the return

I have been using e tax for a number years.e tax make it easy for me. Can’t find any problems with there system.

Don’t recommend
This is my second time using this website for my taxes last year I got $3k then all of a sudden this year I’m only getting back $143 biggest waste of time logging it in and receiving that much when I done the same information again and had the worst experience of trying to understand how I went from $3k to $143 to people and gave me the same BS over and over again I would rather go face to face with a local tax accountant for next year

Thank you for making the whole experience intuitive, even for newcomers. I opted to use a taxation service to make keeping deductions a little easier and ensure inaccuracies are eliminated. The accountant I had was so lovely in responding to messages and even providing tips on extra things I could do to maximise my refund. I appreciate that Etax responded to my complaint. I did correspond with one of the managers. They cancelled my tax form and did not charge me. I appreciate their early response as well. However, even though they have been in business for many years, they should have a statement at the top of their opening online pay, that you will pay for their service and that they are a private concern operating as tax agents. People would not be confused about the difference between them and the Australian Tax Office's official online site for completing a tax return if they were more upfront. I still believe this is to legitimately meant to mislead. As it was, after doing my tax on the official ATO site the refund calculated was quite different as the ATO prefilled correctly some stuff I had forgotten about. Etax also told me that they have accountants checking returns and that, should have told me that they were a private concern. This is why they charge. Well it didn't as the ATO also has accountants checking returns and they don't charge. Yes, I should have been more aware as I am an educated person. I am concerned that some people get caught and then won't know how to delete their mistake without making the fuss I made. I was made aware of the following. When you search the internet for 'completing a tax return' and the page comes up with results, you will see the word 'SPONSORED' on Google, if you click on hide the ATO will be first in the queue and not Etax. yes, they are SPONSOREDand pay to be first in the search queue. You can then make the choice if you want to pay for a service or have the ATO provide most of the details on your return, check it and do it all for free. You also don't have to send statements from banks etc. I wish Etax well but still think that they are not upfront about their service. I will say again the charge should be on your opening page before the 'Let's Get Started button' and when the person is trapped.
