Express Air is just not worth the trouble. I have been trying to reach their payables department for months now. Express Repair cashed the cheque we sent them for the service fee and then they forwarded this to collections. I am hoping for a reply based on this review but I am not holding my breath.

The person on the phone said the repair would be $150-$250, in person he said 400 and then went upstairs and charged my wife $500 when I was away. Does $335 for 30 minutes of labour seem reasonable?
Express Appliances was called to my home on March 11, 2022 to both diagnose and repair my refrigerator which had been freezing my food despite toggling the temperature to the highest setting. I paid $265 for the technician, Adi Azarov, to service the fridge which included checking all of the components to determine what was causing the problem. Once he determined the damper assembly needed replacing I happily ordered it and shelled out another $212. What should have caught my attention was the fact that the company's labour warranty is merely 30
days and the part 60 days. Of course I was told the part was ordered directly from LG. I felt that everything was tended to and confident that this problem was resolved. Unfortunately 4 months later the fridge started to freeze everything once again creating a lot of wasted food.
When I called Express Appliances to share with them that I do not believe they had properly diagnosed the issue, or possibly that the part was defective they simply stated that as all warranties had expired and I was no longer covered for a second look at the problem or for a replacement part. At this point I hired another company to diagnose the issue and interestingly the report shows everything to be in good working order except the damper. All signs pointed to the need to replace my 4-month old damper, after all it is possible parts are defective. At this point I had spent another $335 to get a second opinion, and I was quite unimpressed with the customer service offered by Express Appliances.
After attempting to contact the manager of Express Appliances, Michelle, for 4 days, I shared with her what had happened to which she refused to co-ordinate a phone call to LG regarding the damper she claims was ordered from their manufacturing facility, instead Googling the phone number so that I could handle it myself. I was flat out angry that giving them my business has been met by a total lack of interest in standing by their work and showing me that they have any concern for my experience.
This is not a company that deserves anyone's business. They are more invested in ripping people off rather than standing by their work and acting in a fashion that exemplifies good customer service. Reception staff promised for 3 days that the manager would return my call but it is only my diligence that lead to an actual exchange with her. Michelle in fact did not even seem aware that I requested to speak with her and casually apologized citing that she was out of the office, the opposite of what her receptionist conveyed.
I WILL NEVER CHOOSE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REPAIR IN FUTURE AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO THE SAME, not unless you feel you are in a position to be scammed, ignored and upset by how much you will waste in time, energy and money engaging with the people who work there.
I wish I never contacted them and that I instead hired an LG certified technician to repair the problem. At least then the labour and parts would have been warrantied for 1 year as I later found out after speaking to them. An $849 lesson and I'm still in need of getting my refrigerator addressed!
Do not use this company they are the worst.
About a month ago I had a tech come give me a quote to fix my fridge door.
He was here for 5 minutes & proceeded to tell me that I need a new bracket for my door.
Charged me $100 for the service call & said that it will cost me $1,000 to fix & it would be 14 weeks to arrive.
I called another company to get a quote & the tech came with no charge on the service call & said I would need a new bracket which would be $14 for the part & can be fixed within 2 days.
I've called the customer service line at least 20 times regarding this with no help.
I've been hung up on, promised call backs from a manager which never happened.
Finally got a hold of a manager I explained the situation & she said she will refund me the money I paid for the service call.
No one has ever apologized & I'm still waiting for my refund after almost a month.
They are a joke to deal with & should be out of business the way they lie & treat customers.
It is now July 12th I still don’t have my refund.
I’ve emailed the owner with no response & the manager isn’t calling me back.
I’m 32 calls into this, what a shady company.

I called for a technician. I asked in advance if they have the parts for my model as I didn’t want to waste my money and time. I was asked the year and told they could get parts.
The tech came and told me they don’t carry parts for this machine. last least I should have a diagnostic right? He was here all of 5 minutes no more. lI asked what part he would order if he had them. He wouldn’t give me a direct answer. On the form he wrote unrepairable faulty drum. Well, the drum works fine and has no symptoms of a faulty drum listed in repair sites.
It’s “unrepairable” because he didn’t have the parts and the receptionist had lied saying they did. So, I troubleshooted the issue and am ordering the parts myself (available in amazon) and am going to do the repair, which is not the part he listed.
Absolute fraud. I wish I read these reviews before hand.
I had an issue with my fridge, they came and not fixed the issue and told me to change a part. We ordered the part through them and paid in advance, but it never arrived and they are not issuing me a refund.
The worst company ever!!!!! Technicial came by, didn't even open our dryer! Said that we need a part! We paid over $250 for the service + part. We were supposed to paid $200 more for the part to replace!
Turned out we didn't even need that part and the issue was with the wire that got disconnected!
Now we have part that we don't need plus we paid for the horrible service!!!! NO MONEY REFUNDED!
Customer support is NOT helpful at all! They keep telling us that iut's our falt! No way to contact the owner, nothing! I can't even leave review on Facebook! This tells a lot about their business!!!!!

I wish I read these reviews before I booked an appointment as they tell an exact story to my experience. Booking the appointment was not hard and the diagnostics were correct on the dishwasher repair. The tech made a follow up call for 3 days later an had confirmed he had the part in stock. Well 2 hours before the appointment he called and said he didn't have the part and would have to reschedule for the following week.
Eventually after he finished the repair, the heating element in the dishwasher now does not work and they are not accepting any responsibility for the issue. It worked before and now it doesn't. Have asked the tech to call now twice and he as ghosted and not called back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
If I could give this company 0 out of 5 stars, I would. We are so disappointed and frustrated with the lack of customer service from the management team at the North York office. We called to have our LG dishwasher repaired, specifically the motor needed to be replaced. The tech came and repaired the dishwasher and when we went to run our first load, it flooded our kitchen and completely ruined the wood on the side of the dishwasher beyond repair. When we called to get tech back in to have a look at why it was now flooding, they said he was not available due to an injury and had no one else they could send. 10 days later, they sent the tech back and he admitted to putting the new motor into an existing rusty part that contributed to the flood. He did not make us aware that there were rusted parts when he first installed the motor. We have been trying to reach the manager Michelle for 2 weeks. Every time we call the receptionist says she only works 1-3pm and she’s in a meeting every single time we call. We have left multiple messages and Michelle is never there or in a meeting and has never once called us back in over 2 weeks. Now we are out $450 and we have to buy a completely new dishwasher. Totally unimpressed and completely upset that the manager will not call us back. DO NOT use this company for your appliance repairs, they will rip you off and dodge your calls.

[FRAUD ALERT] Do not use this company - they came to repair our dishwasher at the beginning of Dec 2021 and it failed to work (but they charged us for the service).
We put a deposit down for another part and for a period of two months called in requesting an update - which we never got "the part has shipped".
Finally they came with the "new part" and installed it and the dishwasher still didn't work. Due to the horrid customer service (they NEVER called us back) we decided to go with another company who looked at dishwasher - confirming our new part was never installed. In fast the old one was still in the dishwasher and we discovered they kept our new part.
We informed them our dishwasher still isn't working and they've not called us back - today however they called in to request payment for the service performed.
We have reported all charges to our credit card company disputing the company's reliability.
We have also been told by the new company that this kind of fraud is very common. Eyes open people.
p.s. I would give this company a ZERO if this platform allowed it.
The technician was fine however when the part was ordered it did not come and after two weeks he called to say it was lost. Calling the main office They made several promises to call me back but never did. I cancelled the repair and they charged me for the shipping of a part that never came. The good technician should find better company to work with.
I wish I could give 1 star. A guy came to my house (BTW, without wearing a mask in Covid times) he listened to my fridge and told me that the engine sounds good (I know, I hear it every day) and that it could be a gas leak or a faulty compressor. He didn't know the cause of the problem but He was clear on the price of the repair: 1500 or 2000 dollars. "You better buy a new fridge", He said. For that big piece of advice I had to pay $100 (89 + tax), are you kidding me? He just came with an screwdriver, didn't perform any test, just came to tell me to buy a new fridge. I called the company and again, more blah, blah, blah. The least they can do is to give me my money back, they charged me 100 bucks for nothing.

After one week, no one from the Company has contacted me. I was told over the phone that they will pass my complaint to a manager and will get back to me. Noting, they just stole my money.

I had a horrendous experience with express repair. What started off good quickly turned bad and I am left with a fridge that doesn't work and a nearly $300 bill without warranty.
The service man, although nice, charged me 3x for a part that I later realized I could have gotten on amazon. Did not tell me that there would be no warranty for a part, "fixed" my fridge that started smoking an hour after he left and then came back to tell me that there is nothing that he could do.
When I called for a refund the woman I dealt with said she could only give me partial in "good faith" and that a no warranty or refund was there policy and on my statement. HOWEVER this was not explained to me until after I paid... yeah really convenient. As a customer service based business I am shocked that I can't get a full refund.
DO NOT USE THEM. They did not explain anything properly, and charged me at least 3x what they should have.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Once they have your money, good luck getting any response at all! I had a question about my invoice and instead of calling me back, they cancelled the order and charged restocking fees so I ended up paying almost $300 for NOTHING even after I repeatedly called and said I did NOT want to cancel the service call, and BEGGED to have someone call me back! Never happened, instead had a conversation with their manager now more than 2 months later when she tried to tell me I said cancel the service a month ago! No, I called and told them I *needed* it done urgently! I haven't had a way to do laundry for more than 2 months now and I can't afford to get my machine serviced because they STOLE my money! Now she's trying to get me to pay more to complete the service! AWFUL, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE CROOKS!
Max from Express Repair is an excellent technician. I cannot say anything bad about him. He is a problem solver and is kind, polite, and helpful. Be sure to request him if you use this company.
This is the first review I have EVER been compelled to write.
Our fridge was frosting up. The repairman, Vitali, said he would have to go home for a new Defrost Kit and come back next day. He did, and charged us just under $500 for the repairs and gave us a 45 day warranty on the work. Five days later the fridge frosted up again. I called the repairman who said I would have to pay $1,000 for more parts and I said I wanted to rely on the “Warranty” and replace the unit he had installed. He refused, saying that repair worked 95% of the time, but then said it was NOT a defrost unit he installed but a ‘Repair Unit’. Michelle, the accountant/manager (depending on the day you call) confirmed that the warranty did no give me any coverage so I told her I was forced to buy a new fridge. After much back and forth, she agreed to refund me the $89 visit charge.
Then the fun started. That was early November. When the refund didn’t arrive I phone back... “you didn’t fill out the form” – the form I wasn’t given, or asked to sign. So I got the form. “You’ll be refunded this Friday”
Two weeks later – no refund. “You’ll be refunded this Friday” Two weeks later – no refund, “You’ll be refunded this Friday. This went on and on and on. Then they said, contrary to previous statements, “Only the manager, Igor completes the refunds and he’ll do it this weekend”.
Nothing for two more weeks. Then I was told Igor is the Owner and only he, can process the refunds.
I kept records of all my phone call and discussions and I got the impression that the ladies in the office did not realize that they were working for a scammer – I hope not.
I will be filing a formal complaint with BB Bureau and doing my best to alert future would be victims about this company.

Our 2.2 cu ft washer failed on October 31. Google listed them first. I called, and they sent a tech out November 2.
Without opening it up, he said the machine's drum support was broken and could not be fixed.
Offered to sell us a used washer/dryer set for $1100.
FIRST RED FLAG: "This can be a cash sale - no tax - you can trust us - you don't need a receipt"
I agreed to the purchase, but only with a receipt and I paid the tax. (They still charged $113 for the "service call")
They were delivered and installed on November 8. I was told there was a 21-day warranty for repairs.
At first, they worked fine. We soon found out the dryer would not heat up if we used “timed” dry. On “normal” dry, it would heat up, but the machine will not stop on its own.
On November 28, the washing machine failed with an F06 code. I called and they verified it was within the 21-day warranty. I told them both washer and dryer needed repairs.
A repairman came on Tuesday November 30. Without opening either one up, he said he would need to order parts for both, and would return another day.
Booked another appointment for Thursday, December 9 between 10am-12pm, no one ever showed up. Called after 12, was told my appointment was scheduled between 12-2pm. Called again after 2, was told they would look into it. No callback. Called again after 4, still no update. Finally they called to cancel the appointment, saying the employee was "ill". I asked why it took so long to find that out, they told me I was that tech's "only appointment for that day". When I angrily demanded to know why I was given a 12-2 appointment, they told me not to raise my voice at them. At that point I demanded a refund which they refused. No apology for missing my appointment.
Since I used up all my days off from work for these "appointments", they offered me another between 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, December 13.
Repairman showed up, after working on the washer, he claimed he replaced the motor and a circuitboard, but did not fix the dryer. He said he needed to order parts for it, and would return (he claimed he was not informed the dryer needed parts as well). He showed me the F06 code was now gone.
Tried the washing machine for the first time on Saturday December 18. The washing machine would not spin dry. The clothes stayed soaked.
Called again. They would not send a repair tech out "until the parts for the dryer arrived".
Called between Christmas and New Year's, was told "parts were on back order due to the holidays".
At that point I gave up. We had been without at-home laundry for 2 months. Since we had saved our original dryer, I purchased a new washer ($1200). Threw out the defective washer and dryer.
They called on Jan 3 to inform me "the parts should arrive shortly and they can now book another appointment". I told them I no longer trusted their company and threw out their garbage machines. They told me "we will update our records". No apologies, no attempts to make it right. I hung up on her.

My washing machine was leaking, I called Express Repair and they sent a guy to look at it a few days later. He told me a clamp on the hose was not working and charged me almost $400 to fix it, then it was still leaking and told me that the issue he fixed resolved the issue, and this is now a new issue. He came back in a few days and charged me only the service call that time. The leak was still happening, and there was water all over my basement floor, and now it's been over 2 weeks that I haven't been able to do laundry. He said he would order the part which he originally had difficulty finding. I waited two weeks to hear from him and nothing, I bought a new washer, only to have him leave me a message 3 days after receiving my new washer, that the part has arrived. I left him a message and he never responded. Moral of the story, I paid $500 in repairs, to only have to buy a new washing machine. Terrible service, I would never recommend this company to anyone!
