Get your meds late

I have been using express scripts for 2 years because my company penalizes not using them because they are also our prescription insurance. They have never NOT been late delivering my medication and I have wound up with horrible symptoms from going off my very common medication several times. I have to call in my prescription every time even though I have refills. This is genuinely a terrible company.

Absolutely terrible company to work…

Absolutely terrible company to work with. The customer service is awful. It is almost impossible to get a straight answer out of anyone there and they cannot return a doctor's phone call for 3-5 days. Their fax line was not working and my doctor's office tried calling them for days. Meanwhile I'm out here without my prescription. Now they are telling me that I cannot order 90 days worth of my medication, even though I have refills available.

Had my script on "pause" but they mailed it anyways

Had my script on "pause: DO NOT SEND" and they sent it anyways and refused to refund or take it back. They told me I "released" it to mail and I DID NOT!!! Was put on hold for over an hour each time I called, and they came back and said they will not refund nor take the meds back. Uggg hate dealing w/ them and wish the military did not use them...but I don't have a choice :(

Horrendous pharmacy

Horrendous pharmacy. Had a prescription that they messed around with for over 2 months saying it needed to be pre-authorized and it was authorized on April 3rd and now April 12th and still no meds. Call them and they said it will ship April 15th. Express Scripts is bottom of the barrel for everything. Only use them because we have to with our highmark crap insurance.

They have reset my account now 2 times. Deleting any refills and deleting any prior orders they filled. Every time I have to have my Dr. resend the scripts in and then I need to get approval. I consistently go without my meds because of these delays. One is a controlled substance so I can't even get tested by my doctor to see if it is working properly because I am never taking it consistently. Steer clear of this company if you can. I am stuck as my insurance provider will only allow me to use Express scripts or I can use another pharmacy at triple the cost to me.

Worthless insurance provider

When I changed insurance, I was on a medication that was approved due to Prior authorization from my previous insurance provider. Ironically, it was with the same insurance BC/BS. However, a different plan thus different prescription provider. I was denied a refill due to my testosterone level being above the threshold of 300. I contacted Express Scripts to inform them I have been on the medication for a year, it’s suppose to be above 300. Subsequently, I had to come off the medication and have 2 separate blood work done to prove to them I meet their criteria to be approved for the medication. I did and guess what? I played their process game and came in below the requirement on both lab findings. I was denied again. Even after coming off the medication and satisfying their red tape game. They denied two different types of meds for my wife that didn’t require prior authorization. Now, she takes no meds for an over active bladder. I am now going to HR and cancel my health insurance and look for an alternative insurance that does not offer Express Scripts as a prescription drug provider. I’m not paying 325.00 a month for us both to be denied needed meds. We can be denied for free. I pay insurance to work for me. Not the provider.

I’d give them a zero if it was…

I’d give them a zero if it was possible. Their complaint dept. is more or less non existent. Their customer service would rank at least a negative 5. All they do is route you into a never ending automated phone circle, or if you are lucky enough to get through to an actual person every question you ask they will put you on hold for about 20+ minutes. You could ask them if it was day or night and they would have to put you on hold. If you ask them for their name they would put you on hold. Im amazed that this company is still in business.

Worst experience I've ever had filling…

Worst experience I've ever had filling a prescription for both months that I attempted to use them. Took almost a month to fill it the first time, saying they were waiting for me to call them to okay the order! This second month they notified me after 10 days that they couldn't fulfill the order. I have gone without my medication needlessly for weeks due to their poor customer service and inefficiencies. They are not worth the aggregation, no matter what the price.

Unable to fill prescription in a timely manner

If i could leave a negative review I would. This is by far the worst company that I have had for prescriptions. You have to fight to get medication filled. Even if you have been on them for over 3 years. They will find every way under the sun not to pay for a prescription.

32x Cost of Comparable Pharmacy and Scam Shipment

I don't usually write reviews but feel compelled because this is the worst pharmacy I have ever experienced. First of all, my medications were shipped and billed without my authorization. I spoke to an agent to get set up with my account and was informed that when my prescriptions were received that I have have an opportunity to review the price and submit an order. This was not the case. As soon as the information was received they were sent to me without reaching out for authorization.

This wouldn't have been a serious issue if the price gouging wasn't so egregious. I take a medication that I can get for $8 face value even with no insurance. The price at express scripts with insurance was $260. Charging 32 times the cost of others and shipping without authorization is disgusting.

No one should ever use this pharmacy.

Laughably terrible service and they will send your preach through USPS so expect even further delays on top of their already slow processing time. And no you are no guaranteed to receive your package by any particular date with this goofy company.

I wish I could leave a zero

I wish I could leave a zero. Every time I call from my pharmacy the "customer service" representatives are rude, condescending and unprofessional. We are all supposed to be in this industry together. Get your act together and hire people who don't hate their lives. I called TWICE today and BOTH representatives were abhorrent. Do better.

Effects of Express Scripts Negative Decisions

Recently i had a problem with express scripts They have denied several medications that the specialist physician prescribed . All were denied by their pre authorization dept including a medication they suggested when they denied the original prescription.Five weeks have passed since my diagnosis and i am unable to get medication Customer service, a pharmacist and a pre authorization person stated “ You can pay out of pocket and not use insurance,!” Everyone i spoke to had a negative attitude.

Excellent Service

I have used express scripts for years and they have been one of if not the absolute best companies I’ve ever dealt with. They are in constant communication with me, let me know when it’s time to reorder a med if not on automatic, let’s me know shipping info, even when it’s in my mailbox. They’ll contact my physician if a prescription needs to be renewed. I’ve even had a pharmacist call me directly if there’s an issue. Could not ask for a better relationship.

If zero were an option

If zero were an option, I would have chosen that.

Notification of prescription renewal was given so late that the only way to not run out was to pay for express shipping. A simple prescription for what is basically fish oil that I have been on for years was held up by some additional request of my doctor. I was unable to talk with anyone who could let me know what the issue was. It is a system that sounds like a good idea, but it just isn’t. Very frustrated.

Can i give this zero stars? Cigna is the worst. Never use them for your employee benefits. I've been waiting for months for my medications. months. I've spoken to them several times and they say they are calling for whatever pre-auth they need. My doctor has given it, yet no prescriptions.

Pathetic help and denied medication

I can’t put a negative number or I would—— I have been on a medication that has worked for better than 10 years—- now this idiots think I need to go through pain to find one they want me to use—- you can’t get a person to talk to— their automated system sucks and the one and only person I finally got on line couldn’t speak English well enough to communicate
