Terrible customer service, do not want to pay and claims process time is lousy.
I would give them no stars if it was allowed. I spend the first 6 months of every year trying to get them to unsuspend my FSA account. They will tell you every time that it could take up to 15 days. That’s a lie. Last year it was June before I could use the money that is taken out of MY pay check weekly. This year I’m still currently fighting it in April and no one can tell me anything ever. You can’t talk to the team that handles it and all customer service will say is, it’s being reviewed by the team that handles it. I thought last year was just an unfortunate fluke but seems like this is the regular. This will be the last year that we use them for anything.

DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE! I submitted a claim in January for work done in December! The claim is still pending in April. Waited on hold for hours to get to talk to a supervisor who assured me it would be completed by the 8th of April only to now be the 13th of April and it is still not approved. This after I did their job for them and got the information that was "Holding Up the Approval" 23 days prior to me making this review. When you call you are not speaking to anyone with any authority and they will not esculate your call and when they do, they do not do anything anyway. I have literally called them weekly since February and it still not resolved! Put your money in a savings account and don't waste it with them, very few people take this insurance anyway and I now know why! The only reason they got 1 Star is because I could not give them 0 stars! THE WORST INSURANCE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!

There is no email address provided to contact them. You are left with the choice of A very low capacity and low capability chat or 800 number with a wait time. I tried to use their chat. All I wanted to know was if particular dentist office were on their list as in network but they couldn't look up anything without a phone number and address even though the names of these places were the only ones in the region. When I couldn't get phone numbers and addresses quick enough for them they began to treat me like I was no longer there and like they were going to disconnect so I resorted to asking them to give me a list of how many in-network biomed friendly dentist they have that provided invisalign and they couldn't do that either because they don't know what biomed friendly means. This so-called professional dental insurance company has no idea what this very common alternative and popular type of care even is. It figures that they are already at a one star rating in popular public opinion. Communication is a serious problem with Cigna. Understanding of current popular treatments are not in their lingo. If you are an employer looking for good insurance, pass these people up. Just do your employees a decent service and say no to Cigna.

Once again Cigna has proven they are the worst insurance available. I wanted to give them a zero rating but the lowest I could go was a “1” so that is what I am giving them. I was in therapy and the company my therapist contracted through ran my benefits in January and learned that I didn’t owe a deductible or anything out of pocket.
I started counseling and a month in I had a $100 charge for a diagnostic evaluation. I wasn’t happy that no one told me beforehand, but I paid it. Then the therapy company told me that Cigna emailed them and told the company that the sessions were being applied to my deductible (which Cigna never told my therapy provider about when my benefits were run in January) and I owed $98 for my last session. I had to give up seeing my therapist, who was actually helping me. Today I was told that I now owe for every session I had since January which has drained my benefits card.
I understand that I will have deductible and out of pocket costs but let me know before I start treatment. Cigna’s dollar-store reps failed to notify the therapy company about this. I personally think the reps are poorly trained and cannot submit proper information to the providers. I know some Cigna rep will chime in to this review and restate their policy (like I said dollar store reps, and everyone know how much quality goes products from dollar stores) and not be helpful in any way, shape or form, so whatever rep reads this don’t bother. You are not going to tell me anything I don’t already know, nor provide me a solution to my problem.
If anyone is looking for insurance don’t get Cigna!!! It would be better if that person remained uninsured than go with an insurance company with low-quality and poorly trained reps.
Very slow reaction, deliberately slow down the cases, the insurance company did not want insure

I have had so many challenges with company regarding payments in a timely manner for two emergency room visits with very little follow-up to medical companies. Statements such as I never met my deductible; or I had secondary coverage that allowed payments to be delayed. After speaking to company representatives during 3 calls, they would assure me my records were notated only to have it repeatedly reversed. Spoke to two supervisors verifying I had no other coverages; spent hours with supervisor on the phone with medicare twice and still received unpaid bills. There were too many repeat phone calls to get these issues properly handled since 8/25/25. I absolutely do not recommend this company.
I was billed for a mistake between the medical provider and Cigna. I spent two months and hours of time on the phone with both parties to resolve the situation. I am not even sure if it is completely resolved yet. Though this has been an extremely frustrating experience, it bothers me most that there are people without the time and capacity to dispute the claims in a similar situation - and those people are the ones who would be impacted most with a huge bill simply because of a clerical error. I’m sure this is more than just a Cigna problem, but this has been my experience with them so far.
The customer service representatives that I spoke with were kind, though their efforts were often useless. I have spoken with at least 7 different people, each saying that they’ve sorted it out and to call back if the bill isn’t resolved. The bill still is not resolved.

A Year ago I would’ve praised Cigna Healthcare but once the transition began near the End of the 2025 very disappointed. I needed a Letter as proof of the Date My coverage ended from Cigna Advantage to enroll in Coverage for a different Plan and after Months of promises to send the Letter waiting multiple 15 Day segments, being put on Hold for Hours as of Today I have not received the Letter. I was forced to miss multiple enrollment opportunities waiting for Proof of unenrollment with the 12/31/2025 Date stated. Then I was denied Coverage for their Supplement Plan because I couldn’t get a Letter from Cigna and back got Charged for that “New Plan” a few Weeks later that I didn’t have. I was able to receive a Paper Check and a snippy Letter stating I wasn’t enrolled in that Plan after more multiple Calls to Cigna Advocates. I don’t know if they erase communications after a Customer Call but I have Call Logs with all the Numbers called and the duration of the wait time listed.
terrible customer service trying to get my mom enrolled in healthspring. disorganized.
antoine was so unhelpful
Shitty customer service and coverage. Spent a month trying to get information about if my doctors were in network, got no where, employer tried and said 2 were, not sure on the others, except that the two still can't get insurance to go through. Said they covered meds, two were denied at checkout and the other cleared but was 7x what they quoted me. Asking employer to remove insurance or will be seeking legal action to refund wasted costs.

Candace a representative at Cigna is truly awesome. She follows up and returns phone calls. She goes above and beyond anything a human could do. She followed my issue all the way till it was completed. I was having issues with a pre authorization for a couple of meds. She called up my doctor and walked them through the process. Thank you Candace out of Tennessee for taking such good care of me.

Wish I had never chosen them as my provider. $1032 a month in premium being paid and they don't even cover any of the cost of my CPAP, which keeps me from dying while I sleep. The most worthless health insurance I've ever had. I can't wait to get rid of them and go with another provider.

I had a dental procedure in January. Dentist estimated $600-$700 based on them being out of network in 2026. They told me it should be about three weeks to be reimbursed, I paid in full roughly $2300. Cigna didn't even respond to the claim until 5-6 weeks after submission, they're method of response is paper mail. I contacted them to find this out, the documentation and emailed it to my dentist, then they got it to Cigna before the paper mail ever arrived. Another few weeks went by and I checked my account. My claim said i owed $757 and they mailed me $886. Both odd numbers considering I paid in full. I contacted them, they reassured me these were correct and also said my dentist owed me $550. I had hard time understanding how these numbers makes sense, I paid in full but I owe $757 but Cigna cut me a check for $886, and the dentist owed me $550. I contacted my dentist and they reimbursed me $350 and told me the $757 was an error on Cigna's end because I PAID IN FULL. Cigna is very slow, not very helpful when contacted, and very confusing in communication on what is billing. It's been a few months and I have not received the paper mail check from Cigna. I'd expect it in April, so 3-4 month turn around on a simple dental procedure. Not good.

Y 10 minutos. De risa

Stay away from them. They are the worst insurance company. They make you jump through hoops for prescriptions. Always needing pre-authorization for the same medications. I wish Coleman never signed up with them. They are super expensive. All the representatives I’ve spoke to transfer you around and never get you the help you need. I’ve been trying to recover out of pocket expenses of 1300.00 for my medication. I pay 600.00 a week and can’t drop them because it’s through the company I’m employed with. I’m seriously considering quitting and taking a new job just to drop them. Stay away if your smart.

CIGNA used to be good but not now. I had their dental insurance with a company and all was good then I got their individual policy and it is crap. They list services as part of their coverage but they don't pay on those listed services. Instead they refer you to a 2 sentence paragraph that states is there is any lower priced option anywhere (even if your own dentist doesn't use them) then that is all they pay. STAY AWAY FROM CIGNA they boarder on FRAUD
