Eye Hero Vision Training Avis 26

I’m almost 30 so I’m not the target demographic for this VT tool but I’m enjoying it nonetheless! I’m much more motivated to use this than I was the Brock string or near/far charts. I’m also not leaving work once a week to have someone drive me to VT which is another huge bonus. There are glitches at times but the reps have been wonderful at fixing the issues and staying in communication.

We have had a positive experience overall. Our son is sticking with the program and is excited when new games are introduced to him! We’ve had a few glitches with the system, but seem to be able to sort it out when we restart. Overall, I’m really happy we’re in the program and have been seeing some measurable progress!

The convenience of being able to do the eye exercises/training when it’s convenient to us as a family scores major points with us. As a busy mom, holding a full time job with kids in sports and other activities outside of school, it can be hard to have an inflexible scheduled appointment. This programs allows us to do the training when we can and at the intervals we are able to. I love that the trainings are geared specifically to my kid’s needs and challenge him in a fun, interactive, video game style way! They can earn points to dress or gear up their hero which also adds a rewarding aspect to it. I also like that there is a built in minute break between “sessions” to ensure the eyes get a rest before the next workout.

I do wish, as a parent, there was more instant feedback that allows us to see the progress. That’s nitpicking though. I really think this is an awesome program as an alternative to being seen in person by an eye therapy doctor. We live too far away to have in-person visits, so this is a great substitute.

Eye hero has been great for our son. It is helping his vision grow stronger with each lesson.

After just two months of using Eye Hero my daughter's vision has improved! She was using it more consistent when she began, but has gotten a little bored with some of the games. Overall this is a great tool for children with vision problems and helps to engage them in therapy much easier than reading charts.

We haven't had an eye exam since starting Eye Hero, so I can's comment on if it's actually improving my son's vision. However, we've been pleased with the program itself. It is a fun, engaging App that doesn't feel like "work" for my 8 year old. He likes being able to gain coins and characters, like a real video game. Once we have our eye exam, and if we have improved vision, I will forever sing the praises of Eye Hero!

I still think it’s too soon to tell but we are slowly working on being more consistent. It’s expensive for only doing it here and there which is why the 4 stars. My 8yo likes it some days and then gets annoyed with some of the games he “has to do”. I am going to keep doing it because he needs eye help and we are trying everything we can to make it better for him. Hopefully time will tell

Eye Hero has been very responsive with any questions that I've had.

We use Eye Hero as therapy for our 8 yr old son who has convergence issues with his eyes. He frequently skips lines and words when he reads. He also has difficulty visually locating digits in math problems often. Eye Hero seems to have helped both of those issues so far this school year.

We chose Eye Hero as there was no way we could afford in-clinic therapy for his issues.

The app is well designed. Perhaps too well designed as it can be hard to get him to stop. I'm glad there are designed breaks and pauses in between sessions. His love for Eye Hero might be more pronounced since he doesn't have any other exposure to video games and very little screen time in general. We keep the sound turned off to try to reduce the immersiveness.

My only complaint is that sometimes the weekly vision assessment texts lock up and become unresponsive. They need to fix this as those tests are a measurable indicator of progress.

My son is 4 with ocular albinism. It took him a little while to get used to some of the games, but we stuck with it and I’m surprised at how well he has done. Very happy with the overall experience and it has kept him entertained (while hopefully helping his depth perception) for quite awhile now!

It is easy for a child to navigate the games. My child started at 7 years old, and although
She doesn’t like to do her eye therapy, once she starts she is doing it on an iPad and it takes the place of other iPad gaming time. Win win.

We are seeing progress while taking time off from vision therapy. I would like if our doctor had more control over the prescriptions on a weekly basis.

My grandson started eye hero almost three months ago , we have an eye dr appt next week to see if he is progressing. The program was easy to set up and he does enjoy most of the games, I like I can delete the games that are frustrating for him. I’m hoping to see some good results next week at our appointment !

Our experience has been excellent plus the easy set up with the program. Our daughter enjoys the games. Also, we like knowing that she's getting what she needs,

We love eye hero! It’s been so fun for my daughter and really helpful in strengthening her eyes.

My son has been using eye hero for a few months now. I have seen improvement in his eye turn. The games are fun for him. The only thing I wish could be different is that the games are timed so he gets frustrated when he is playing and it just stops.

My 9 year old daughter is almost at her 6 month mark checkup to see if her left eye is improving with eyehero. She wears her eyehero glasses over her prescription glasses to better her left eye. I feel like the eyehero glasses don't fit well over her prescription glasses as she is always adjusting them. Eyehero glasses the hinge part broke within the first 6 months of use and awaiting via e-mail to see how I can get them fixed or replaced. Daughter complains about the games being boring. It's a struggle to keep telling her when it's time to do eyehero therapy as she does not like it. Hopefully after all the money spent her left eye will be at where it needs to be so she can be glasses free.

Instructions weren’t very clear on wearing the red/green glasses OVER prescription glasses. Also red/green glasses don’t fit over other glasses very well. My child broke the hinge easily within first few month of use. My child complains about the games being boring. It’s helpful that we can remove the games he really dislikes, but it’s still a struggle to keep his attention. Not sure yet if it’s helping make any progress. My child’s eye doctor wants to wait until 6 months of use before determining if we continue. Hopefully after the commitment and money spent, his eye will be at a better prescription.

Eye hero has helped my daughter make improvements in her vision. The games are fun and engaging, making it feel less like “work.”
