The premises, staff, administration and testing facilities were all excellent, and the consultation efficient, pleasant and informative.

I am a 66 year old woman and had quite severe myopia and cataract.
I had bilateral cataract surgery nearly a month ago, performed by Mr Mr Say Aun Quah via the Eye Correction Centre in Abergele. The procedure went very smoothly and I now have excellent distance vision and can also read without glasses.
The care I received from Mr Quah and his team from initial consultation, through the procedure and after care, was excellent. Mr Quah oversaw the entire process, which was very reassuring.
I suffer from claustrophobia, and take anti-platelet medication after a stroke so was very apprehensive about having the surgery. Mr Quah and his team were both very patient and helpful and saw me through in a very caring manner.
I would highly recommend Mr Quah and the Eye Correction Centre to anyone considering this surgery.

Mr Hickley and his team were kind and courteous at all times. Listened carefully to my request and we agreed an appropriate treatment. It took just 2 weeks from the consultation to the treatment.
Mr Hickley talked me through what he was doing throughout the treatment and answered questions clearly.

I have experienced the most amazing professional friendly care over the last few months from Mr Quah and his team at the Eye Correction Centre UK. From my initial consultation, right through to surgery and follow up after care appointments, liaising with his lovely secretary, care and attention has been second to none. I have had 'Refractive Mutifocal Lens Replacement' surgery. I wasn't recommended from anyone to see Mr Quah, I didn't know of anyone who had had this type of procedure. It was only by chance that I came across him, after looking through reviews on the Macclesfield Spire Regency Hospital website. I had my surgery performed by Mr Quah at Wilmslow Private Hospital. My care there, from Mr Quah's diagnostics technician, the theatre team and all staff I came into contact with was superb. My distance and reading sight is totally restored to what it was as a teenager. I didn't feel any pain at all during the procedure or thereafter. I can't thank Mr Quah enough. He is exceptional. He demonstrated such deep specialised, extensive knowledge and skill. Mr Quah is so kind and friendly, he didn't make me feel I couldn't ask any questions at all. An expert in his field. I am over the moon with the results from my multifocal lens replacement eye surgery and wouldn't hesitate recommending you and your team. Why would anyone not want this type of surgery, to be glasses free and never get a cataract in the future, it's life changing. I know I won't need to, but I would do it all over again in a heart beat. Thank you so much Mr Quah you are and have been incredible.

Dr Goel performed SMILE Eye Surgery on my eyes in September and he did a brilliant job. I was quite nervous about the procedure, but he made sure I stayed calm throughout it all, and the whole procedure only took a few minutes! Aftercare was also really good and elaborate.

My eyes only hurt a bit on the first day, and the next day my vision was already good enough to drive! Though they were still quite sensitive to light, got tired quickly and I struggled with reading from a screen. This is still improving in week 3, but it is almost perfect already!

The Eye Correction Centre was also really flexible with me being able to visit different centers in the country, due to me living quite remotely.

Mr Say Aun Quah, a very pleasant fellow did the surgery and I found him to be very professional and efficient. I was kept informed of the procedures and any follow up that may be required at all times and he answered all of my questions. It was lovely to meet Mr Hickley. He was most pleasant. He conducted his inspection carefully and focus. Asking the right questions to get a diagnosis. And then explanation to to limit the symptoms.
He has also referred me to a very experienced colleague for one specific element. Would highly recommend him.

Mr Hickley is a very kind and knowledgeable Dr. He completely put my mind at rest following my cataract operation as I was concerned there maybe some complications due to my health issues. After a third examination and change of medication and I was reassured that everything otherwise was as it should be. I am very grateful for his care.

Mr Quah and his staff are very personable and proficient. Despite rare complications to my condition that was always a risk, the result is that I now not only have excellent 20/20 vision, but that I am no longer a burden to others. In particular, Mr Quah is very clear and informative about the eye condition, procedures and risks to provide the necessary confidence I had been seeking to make critical decisions after multiple surgeries for retinal detachments. This can only come from someone who genuinely cares about the best outcomes for those in their care, providing me with sound open advice that considered both eyes. It is the privilege of the patient to benefit from Mr Quah's expertise ...and my benefactor's purse!

Dr Qhah and his Senior Nurse (whose name I have embarrassingly forgotten, is so knowledgeable, has the most delightful manner, character and soft Irish accent), are so helpful. Very straightforward advice in explaining all of the potential pros and cons before instructing them to undertake my eye lens replacement surgery, using Hanita Intensity Pentafocal lenses. I was very happy with my treatment and the result achieved. Mr Goel made me feel at ease and confident, and his colleague (Mr Ray?) who did some of the tests, explained everything about the laser treatment to correct the Posterior Capsular Opacification (PCO), My vision is now back to normal. I not sure that there is anything great about having someone stab you in the eye, but hopefully the results will justify the unpleasantness. It is a bit early to tell ut there has been an improvement which I hope will continue

An incredible experience with excellent results under the enormous expertise and gifted hands of Mr. Sid Goel. I had developed bilateral cataracts, having been highly myopic with great astigmatism from my childhood. I cannot give thanks enough, to this immensely skilled, kind and caring Consultant Ophthalmologist Surgeon and his Team for my new vision of 6/5! An incredible journey!
