Very disappointed in FairShake

From the beginning there were signs that nobody really read the detailed message I sent them explaining about a cable company mistakenly billing me for equipment that had been returned to them. Over and over I tried to work with them... over and over and over I would get messages from someone who clearly had never read my claim or any of my updates. Most recently I forwarded a message from the arbitration group saying they would not work with the cable company due to the company's failure to provide required things. A few days later FairShake sent a message saying "You should be hearing from the arbitration group soon with an introduction to your case administrator." And then to top it off, they have the ability to somehow deflect email such that a client can no longer write to them. I am stunned at what a scam they turned out to be. This CANNOT be the company written about in so many glowing articles....

All I wanted was to talk on a phone…

All I wanted was to talk on a phone with a live person and resolve the problems with my claim. Never heard from any live person, they kept giving me the run around, and wanted $220. on a credit or debit card that I didn't have. They wouldn't take the fee from a reloadable visa or from my cash app card. The frustration that they caused , they should pay me!!!!! Worst company ever!!!@

Hi Scot - We take feedback seriously and so I want to clarify your concerns on this. The fee you are referring to is for the Arbitration Association and not FairShake. They require a filing fee to escalate your claim to an arbitration hearing, however in many cases that fee is reimbursable to you or you can request that the fee is waived if you qualify based on income level. Confusing Corporation Jargon

This company is no different than any other company attempting to confuse you with corporation talk. Unlawful practice of common and UCC law. Eye would not and have NO reason at all to recommend this company! They do absolutely nothing but further confuse/complicate the situation without offering any solution! Don't waste your time or energy!

fast and efficient with a punch!

They were not kidding when they said they send a letter to the company that you're working with and it literally save me thousands of dollars and my time for me to just resolve the issue right then and there I want to thank everyone involved with fair shake for everything that you've done to make my life a little bit easier moving forward I highly recommend fair shake to anybody no matter how rich or poor you may be because they do a assert and make sure your rights are heard. Especially with my business account. Thank you again fair shake I hope I don't deal with a bad situation like this again, but if it does arise, I will definitely look for you for help. Again, thanks again..

Real as it gets for a small fee.

Honestly I thought it was fake until I did my research and received feedback. Thanks again for getting my funds that I deserve and I felt like a fraud, but you guys helped me with that. I waited from November to now to get my money from PayPal. No I wouldn't recommend anyone to PayPal, but I would have to highly recommend Fairshake. Thanks again.

I got screwed over an online auction by a seller who seemingly makes his money robbing ppl. PayPal of course didn't want to back up anything. My thought is that the thief probably closed his account, which left no way for PayPal to get the money from the thief. This meant that PayPal could either lose hundreds of dollars and back up their guarantee or just leave me holding the bag like an idiot.

If you think that PayPal did the former, you're WAY too optimistic. I showed them how I could actually prove the guy never sent what he said to my home, all they needed to do was verify the tracking number on FedEx. They either did not even bother or they are just horrible at their jobs.

Point is, I spent almost a WHOLE year fighting this company. The ONLY thing that saved my hide was FairShake. In less than 2 months, they got PayPal to make good, even though PayPal wouldn't admit responsibility. That's crap, but what can ya do? At least I can say I wasn't screwed over completely, it just took me forever until I got lucky and found FairShake.

This company has done nothing but take my money ($200 to escalate to arbitration last February) and request document after document after explanation after detailed write up. Next was that my case was "approved" for them to take to arbitration and represent me. Then I get a response that I have not "completed" something after complaining for months and asking for a refund of my $200 payment for arbitration expenses. This past month I finally heard from them - they said to go on my dashboard to complete, which asked me for yet another $200 for arbitration before I could even proceed (this was last week). Now they have "closed" my claim with no response to what happened to my arbitration which I paid for (my gut was nothing was ever filed because I should have at least received some sort of acknowledgment from the arbitrator. I don't see how they are getting positive responses from others. As a consumer I would be very very suspicious of whether the other reviews are true customers based on my experience of dealing with them for a year to get my case to move forward (which they approved to go to arbitration)

Thank you all for getting my money back from Sprint. It took longer than it should have because Sprint was being difficult, but you all made it happen. I have no doubt I never would have gotten my money back if not for Fairshake. Thank you so much!

They add absolutely no value, don't bother. You can do it on your own

Complete and utter scam. Absolutely zero customer service or guidance, EXCEPT when it comes to a settlement (which they are incentivized by as they take a portion of it).

I wrote a complaint about an Airbnb experience in June 2022. With a copy and paste it was put in the mail to their corporate office and with no response, 30 days later I receive an email saying "click to escalate to arbitration". The next thing I know I have an active arbitration case, where I am Pro Se (representing myself) against Airbnb, 3 partners at a law firm and it's been moved to commercial arbitration. Fair shake or their online chatbot, Leon, either don't respond or send canned responses that don't help. Aside from mailing a letter, they provided absolutely ZERO value and I'm now lost and going it alone. DO NOT USE THEM, WITH VERY LITTLE RESEARCH YOU CAN DO IT ON YOUR OWN

At first I thought I would be ripped off again when I was first ripped off by HughesNet.com I thought that FairShake was ripping me off also. But it turns out that FairShake did exactly what they said they would do and for the exact price they said. I have to give then 5 stars for a job VERY Well Done!!!

A lot flaws one it does help you demand for fairness but charge from your lost. Settle amount that petty use them beside that don’t. All settlement force people into another agreeement that waives future wrong doing? They help u initiate but when things gets serious they back out and leave in at arbitration time. Now you up against a monster with the little knowledge you know as beginning? Non profit means doesn’t mean employee time can’t be compensate highly and purchase as long it for corp it’s ok! “I got a Ferrari for company cause ceo has to drive in ceo vehicle class”

fairshake is not taking care of my complaint from day 1...

I filed a complaint with fairshake and immediately received and auto replay robot email response saying they will reach out to me but never did and when call the fairshake phone number (510) 937-3247 They number tries to avoid people by redirecting them to online chat or email and when go to online chat once again they try to avoid by saying enter your email to look up your claim but never get an email or also can search by phone number just gets a text with an older claim tells me they never did file it in the first place and its 2 weeks later now... Going the an upper class lawyer writer looks like my best bet.

Mine was an uncomplicated, cut and dry case.

The process was made easy to understand, and all that was needed from me was to share my experience and what I was seeking. When I had a question, the Fairshake rep answered promptly and with solid information. Navigating the dashboard was simple and straightforward, and the fee was appropriately affordable. I am grateful to have had their services in my case.

Where's the fair shake?

Supposedly I settled (with their help). I paid their fee in advance be cause they said I'd get my money in 30 days . Well , no money and no customer service response. Nothing sent to me as to why. I can't recommend them.
