Thank you, Jeremy, for your feedback. Crystal awards are produced using a sandblasted etching process, which creates a refined, tone-on-clear look rather than a dark or filled engraving. This style is intentional and gives the award a subtle, elegant appearance.
For customers who prefer a higher-contrast look, we also offer Full Color Printed awards that produce a solid imprint. That said, our customer service team will be reaching out to review your order and make sure everything was produced correctly and to see how we can make this right for you.
Extremely disappointing customer service and lack of attention to detail
I am beyond disappointed with the experience I had during my recent order with Fine Awards. As an Executive Assistant who manages high-stakes projects, I chose to return to this company specifically because we were pleased with the quality of a previous award, despite that initial order having its own minor issues. I went into this process as a loyal customer looking to build a relationship, but I have never seen a company actively run the opposite direction from someone trying to give them repeat business.
After I requested a slight wording change following the first proof, the entire project entered a tailspin where each subsequent version was worse than the last. Over the course of five or six rounds of proofs, basic elements like logos suddenly disappeared and dates were repeatedly placed on the wrong lines, despite my explicit instructions and multiple attempts to be open and collaborative. I reached out to several different people on the team to get the project back on track, but my efforts were met with total indifference.
The lack of basic communication was the most jarring part of the experience. I requested a shipping address change multiple times through various channels, and not once was the request acknowledged or updated in their system. At no point did anyone on the staff apologize for the repeated oversights or the significant amount of extra work they created for me. It felt as though they were doing the bare minimum just to get the award out the door with no regard for the client’s experience or the accuracy of the final product. I will certainly be looking for a new vendor for our future recognition needs.

To clarify the situation, this order involved a single award that went through the normal proofing process. During one proof revision the logo was temporarily removed due to a misunderstanding of the requested changes, but that was corrected as the proofs progressed. The entire proofing process still occurred within our standard two-day turnaround window.
Multiple revisions are a normal part of refining custom awards, and the final piece was produced according to the approved proof. That said, we regret that the process felt frustrating from your perspective. Clear communication is important to us, and we will review the interaction internally to see where expectations could have been better aligned.
We are glad you were happy with the quality of the previous award and appreciate the opportunity you gave us to work with you again.
