The trainer was incredibly engaging and not only made us feel at ease but was also helpful in explaining and demonstrating the concepts. I learned a lot of information in such a short amount of time. It helped that he made it very entertaining as well and I truly enjoyed the experience, felt very comfortable, and learned a lot. Thank you for the experience!

I attended the First Aid Training at West Denton Fire Station across 3 days, with the sessions being led by paramedic Phil Brewis. Phil was fantastic at giving clear explanations on not only how to treat a wide range of injuries, but on the scientific processes behind why the body reacts in certain ways. This helped me to understand the logic behind the treatments all the better, which I believe will greatly aid me in remembering the correct procedures should I ever have to use them in a real-life situation. Overall the content was interesting, engaging and very clear, and I feel far more confident in my ability to deliver first aid. Thank you Phil and NEAS!

I completed the 3 day first aid at work course through my workplace. From the first minute I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. As I had never done a first aid related course before this was very reassuring. In addition to this, the information taught on the course was of the highest degree and despite Covid-19 restrictions limiting the hands on tasks we could complete, I felt like everything was made very clear and easily understood. Although being a serious educational course, the tutor Robin made the 3 days incredible and very enjoyable while ensuring we were all very competent in giving first aid.

The NEAS Emergency First Aid at Work course was excellent. The learning was delivered in a well explained and organised manner with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Excellent session with Steve, took the time to identify my learning needs and worked through them together. Made the session very enjoyable and relevant to working during the current pandemic.

Valuable knowledge and very good delivered bls course

I found the training at West Denton training centre extremely thorough yet enjoyable. I was very impressed the training was managed with Covid restrictions observed at all times.
The trainer Pete was amazing and gave us all some top tips from his long experience in the medical profession.
He made the whole two day course a joy.

We have just had the best CPR training session in the practice we can remember. Mark, the paramedic and trainer was excellent. He pitched his training at exactly the right level for the experienced staff and gave our trainee more attention. He was professional yet friendly, calm and thorough. Will book him for next years training session.

Excellent course delivery from the very experienced course instructor Andy Taylor, I'm sure that his previous military experiences had a factor in this.

I have just attended the 2 day MHFA course at work and cannot recommend it highly enough. All the subject matters were handled with respect. I myself suffer with mental illness but felt comfortable enough to share my experiences with my colleagues. I must specifically mention the 2 trainers we had, Tony and Andy, both delivered the training with true professionalism but also in a relaxed manner on what is a very sensitive subject matter. Both were very approchable and knowledgable.

Up to date, rlevant infomation given in a manner that was easy to follow.

Really informative course i will hopefully find very useful.

Really enjoyed the 2 training day course - very informative, interactive and thought provoking. The two trainers were excellent providing a good mix of theory, group exercises and general discussion.

I recently attended a 2 Day Mental Health First Aid course at NEAS' training facility in West Denton, Newcastle.
The content of the course was fantastic and delivered really well by both Andy and Tony. They handled the sensitivity of the subjects well and involved all delegates in discussions and activities.
There was a good mix of theory and practical and I left feeling much more knowledgeable and confident about how best to support a colleague (or family/friend) going through a mental health issue.
I would highly recommend this course.
